    A Non-Local Low-Rank Approach to Enforce Integrability

    Get PDF
International audienceWe propose a new approach to enforce integrability using recent advances in non-local methods. Our formulation consists in a sparse gradient data-fitting term to handle outliers together with a gradient-domain non-local low-rank prior. This regularization has two main advantages : 1) the low-rank prior ensures similarity between non-local gradient patches, which helps recovering high-quality clean patches from severe outliers corruption, 2) the low-rank prior efficiently reduces dense noise as it has been shown in recent image restoration works. We propose an efficient solver for the resulting optimization formulation using alternate minimization. Experiments show that the new method leads to an important improvement compared to previous optimization methods and is able to efficiently handle both outliers and dense noise mixed together

Review of AdS/CFT Integrability: An Overview

This is the introductory chapter of a review collection on integrability in the context of the AdS/CFT correspondence. In the collection we present an overview of the achievements and the status of this subject as of the year 2010.Comment: 31 pages, v2: reference added, references to other chapters updated, v3: footnote 1 on location of references added, v4: minor changes, references added, accepted for publication in Lett. Conserved Charges and Supersymmetry in Principal Chiral Models

We report on investigations of local (and non-local) charges in bosonic and supersymmetric principal chiral models in 1+1 dimensions. In the bosonic PCM there is a classically conserved local charge for each symmetric invariant tensor of the underlying group. These all commute with the non-local Yangian charges. The algebra of the local charges amongst themselves is rather more subtle. We give a universal formula for infinite sets of mutually commuting local charges with spins equal to the exponents of the underlying classical algebra modulo its Coxeter number. Many of these results extend to the supersymmetric PCM, but with local conserved charges associated with antisymmetric invariants in the Lie algebra. We comment briefly on the quantum conservation of local charges in both the bosonic and super PCMs.Comment: 18 pages, LaTeX. Revised and up-dated version based on conference talks by JME and NJ

On structure constants with two spinning twist-two operators

I consider three-point functions of one protected and two unprotected twist-two operators with spin in N=4 SYM at weak coupling. At one loop I formulate an empiric conjecture for the dependence of the corresponding structure constants on the spins of the operators. Using such an ansatz and some input from explicit perturbative results, I fix completely various infinite sets of one-loop structure constants of these three-point functions. Finally, I determine the two-loop corrections to the structure constants for a few fixed values of the spins of the operators.Comment: 21 page
