Conceptual design and feasibility evaluation model of a 10 to the 8th power bit oligatomic mass memory. Volume 1: Conceptual design
The oligatomic (mirror) thin film memory technology is a suitable candidate for general purpose spaceborne applications in the post-1975 time frame. Capacities of around 10 to the 8th power bits can be reliably implemented with systems designed around a 335 million bit module. The recommended mode was determined following an investigation of implementation sizes ranging from an 8,000,000 to 100,000,000 bits per module. Cost, power, weight, volume, reliability, maintainability and speed were investigated. The memory includes random access, NDRO, SEC-DED, nonvolatility, and dual interface characteristics. The applications most suitable for the technology are those involving a large capacity with high speed (no latency), nonvolatility, and random accessing
A comparison of standard spell checking algorithms and a novel binary neural approach
In this paper, we propose a simple, flexible, and efficient hybrid spell checking methodology based upon phonetic matching, supervised learning, and associative matching in the AURA neural system. We integrate Hamming Distance and n-gram algorithms that have high recall for typing errors and a phonetic spell-checking algorithm in a single novel architecture. Our approach is suitable for any spell checking application though aimed toward isolated word error correction, particularly spell checking user queries in a search engine. We use a novel scoring scheme to integrate the retrieved words from each spelling approach and calculate an overall score for each matched word. From the overall scores, we can rank the possible matches. In this paper, we evaluate our approach against several benchmark spellchecking algorithms for recall accuracy. Our proposed hybrid methodology has the highest recall rate of the techniques evaluated. The method has a high recall rate and low-computational cost
Spectral Shape of Check-Hybrid GLDPC Codes
This paper analyzes the asymptotic exponent of both the weight spectrum and
the stopping set size spectrum for a class of generalized low-density
parity-check (GLDPC) codes. Specifically, all variable nodes (VNs) are assumed
to have the same degree (regular VN set), while the check node (CN) set is
assumed to be composed of a mixture of different linear block codes (hybrid CN
set). A simple expression for the exponent (which is also referred to as the
growth rate or the spectral shape) is developed. This expression is consistent
with previous results, including the case where the normalized weight or
stopping set size tends to zero. Furthermore, it is shown how certain symmetry
properties of the local weight distribution at the CNs induce a symmetry in the
overall weight spectral shape function.Comment: 6 pages, 3 figures. Presented at the IEEE ICC 2010, Cape Town, South

A Security Analysis of IoT Encryption: Side-channel Cube Attack on Simeck32/64
Simeck, a lightweight block cipher has been proposed to be one of the
encryption that can be employed in the Internet of Things (IoT) applications.
Therefore, this paper presents the security of the Simeck32/64 block cipher
against side-channel cube attack. We exhibit our attack against Simeck32/64
using the Hamming weight leakage assumption to extract linearly independent
equations in key bits. We have been able to find 32 linearly independent
equations in 32 key variables by only considering the second bit from the LSB
of the Hamming weight leakage of the internal state on the fourth round of the
cipher. This enables our attack to improve previous attacks on Simeck32/64
within side-channel attack model with better time and data complexity of 2^35
and 2^11.29 respectively.Comment: 12 pages, 6 figures, 4 tables, International Journal of Computer
