    Disabled persons represents a cathegory of the social assistance’s beneficiaries who needs furher contribution on behalf of the society, moreover the granted support currently offered by the caregivers for the purpouse of faceing the daily social needs and for a decent existence. The special situation of the disabled persons from the viewpoint of functionality, the existent concerning rate of the abuses within the system, but also the increased number of system’s beneficiaries, both underprivileged and privileged to fraud limit and over it, established the premises with the view of accomplishing this study. The research consisted in analyzing the specific national and international legal framework, of the existent data within the central public administration, which represent the coordination activity of the specific system, as well as of the collected national data. The present study is intended to emphasize the system’s organizationally and functionally deficiency, whereas to externalize the proposals and develop it into improved solutions for the quality life of the disabled persons.disabled persons, evaluation sistem, classification system in degree of disability, evaluation system tools, social assistance, social inclusion.

    Localization phenomena in Nonlinear Schrodinger equations with spatially inhomogeneous nonlinearities: Theory and applications to Bose-Einstein condensates

    Full text link
    We study the properties of the ground state of Nonlinear Schr\"odinger Equations with spatially inhomogeneous interactions and show that it experiences a strong localization on the spatial region where the interactions vanish. At the same time, tunneling to regions with positive values of the interactions is strongly supressed by the nonlinear interactions and as the number of particles is increased it saturates in the region of finite interaction values. The chemical potential has a cutoff value in these systems and thus takes values on a finite interval. The applicability of the phenomenon to Bose-Einstein condensates is discussed in detail

    THE COMPETITIVENESS OF NATIONAL ECONOMIES IN THEIR STRUGGLE FOR POWER SUPREMACY

    Mankind is in a continuous movement process, and power moves from a country to another, each of these trying to maintain supremacy. The struggle for power is very tough because to counterbalance the main competitors, knowledge of their strengths and weaknesses is imperative. The remaking of world order, on the basis of clashes between cultures and civilizations, is very well captured and illustrated by Samuel Huntington.competitiveness, economic structures, cultural dimensions, power distance, masculinity, individualism, uncertainty avoidance, management systems

    Stabilization of solitons of the multidimensional nonlinear Schrodinger equation: Matter-wave breathers

    Full text link
    We demonstrate that stabilization of solitons of the multidimensional Schrodinger equation with a cubic nonlinearity may be achieved by a suitable periodic control of the nonlinear term. The effect of this control is to stabilize the unstable solitary waves which belong to the frontier between expanding and collapsing solutions and to provide an oscillating solitonic structure, some sort of breather-type solution. We obtain precise conditions on the control parameters to achieve the stabilization and compare our results with accurate numerical simulations of the nonlinear Schrodinger equation. Because of the application of these ideas to matter waves these solutions are some sort of matter breathers

    Filtering in Finance.

    In this article we present an introduction to various Filtering algorithms and some of their applications to the world of Quantitative Finance. We shall first mention the fundamental case of Gaussian noises where we obtain the well-known Kalman Filter. Because of common nonlinearities, we will be discussing the Extended Kalman Filter.Commodity Prices; Term Structure; Stock Prices; Kalman Filter;

    Self-consistent model for ambipolar tunneling in quantum-well systems

    Full text link
    We present a self-consistent approach to describe ambipolar tunneling in asymmetrical double quantum wells under steady-state excitation and extend the results to the case of tunneling from a near-surface quantum well to surface states. The results of the model compare very well with the behavior observed in photoluminescence experiments in InGaAs/InPInGaAs/InP asymmetric double quantum wells and in near-surface AlGaAs/GaAsAlGaAs/GaAs single quantum wells.Comment: 10 pages, REVTeX 3.

    Active Flow Control in Supersonic Nozzles

    Get PDF
    Active flow control in supersonic nozzle mainly concerns Fluidic Thrust Vectoring (FTV) strategies. Thrust Vectoring in fixed symmetric nozzles can be obtained by generating a local perturbation at wall causing flow separations, asymmetric pressure distributions and therefore, the vectoring of the primary jet thrust. The control action can be steady, e.g. continuous blowing, or pulsating, e.g. by synthetic jet actuators. In the paper a numerical procedure is explained, which is able to deal with most of the FTV strategies as well as with continuous and pulsating flow excitation. The flow governing equations are solved according to a finite volume discretization of the compressible URANS equations. The effectiveness of different combinations of FTV strategies and flow actuations are presented. The numerical results obtained are compared with the experimental data found in the open literature
