The Boolean Satisfiability Problem (BSAT) is one of the crucial decision problems in the fields of computing science, operation research, and mathematical logic that is resolved by deciding whether or not a solution to a Boolean formula exists. When there is a Boolean variable allocation that induces the Boolean formula to yield TRUE, then the SAT instance is satisfiable. The main purpose of this chapter is to utilize the optimization capacity of the Lyapunov energy function of Hopfield neural network (HNN) for optimal representation of the Random Satistibaility for COVID-19 Surveillance Data Set (CSDS) classification with the aim of extracting the relationship of dominant attributes that contribute to COVID-19 detections based on the COVID-19 Surveillance Data Set (CSDS). The logical mining task was carried based on the data mining technique of the energy minimization technique of HNN. The computational simulations have been carried using the different number of clauses in validating the efficiency of the proposed model in the training of COVID-19 Surveillance Data Set (CSDS) for classification. The findings reveals the effectiveness and robustness of k satisfiability reverse analysis with Hopfield neural network in extracting the dominant attributes toward COVID-19 Surveillance Data Set (CSDS) logic

Storyboard Design of Android-Based Learning Multimedia Integration Application Using Standard Process Tutorial Model

    Get PDF
Bina Pribadi Islam is a subject taught in Islamic elementary schools with the aim of improving students' spiritual well-being through guidance from teachers or mentors. Islamic elementary schools have an educational system designed by the Ministry of National Education and adapted to Islamic law. In the process of learning Bina Pribadi Islam, there is a need for a strategy to increase students' motivation and interest by using a multimedia application that includes elements such as text, audio, graphics, video, and animation tailored to the standard process tutorial model. To create an interactive multimedia application, multimedia design should be prepared in accordance with the tutorial model. Therefore, to produce a good application, a storyboard design needs to be created first that is tailored to the tutorial model to facilitate the application's development. Based on the storyboard design created according to the tutorial model, three main menus are produced as the characteristic features of the tutorial model, namely introduction, tutorial material, and exercises. Each menu produces several sub-menus tailored to the material in the Bina Pribadi Islam subject

Private Equity: Antecedents, Outcomes, Mediators, and Moderators

    Get PDF
As private equity’s financial heft and influence on the business landscape has intensified, so too has scholarly interest in the phenomenon. We review recent progress in private equity research, with a focus on the private equity industry’s later-stage buyout segment. To synthesize and integrate current findings, we construct a framework that encompasses not only antecedents and outcomes of private equity’s activities, but also mediators and moderators of the relationships that drive these outcomes. Based upon the gaps and learning opportunities that are surfaced by this framework, we develop recommendations for future private equity research. The proposed research agenda is particularly germane to management scholars, whose theories and perspectives have thus far been productively, yet relatively sparingly, applied in private equity research

Ethnographies of Collaborative Economies across Europe: Understanding Sharing and Caring

    Get PDF
"Sharing economy" and "collaborative economy" refer to a proliferation of initiatives, business models, digital platforms and forms of work that characterise contemporary life: from community-led initiatives and activist campaigns, to the impact of global sharing platforms in contexts such as network hospitality, transportation, etc. Sharing the common lens of ethnographic methods, this book presents in-depth examinations of collaborative economy phenomena. The book combines qualitative research and ethnographic methodology with a range of different collaborative economy case studies and topics across Europe. It uniquely offers a truly interdisciplinary approach. It emerges from a unique, long-term, multinational, cross-European collaboration between researchers from various disciplines (e.g., sociology, anthropology, geography, business studies, law, computing, information systems), career stages, and epistemological backgrounds, brought together by a shared research interest in the collaborative economy. This book is a further contribution to the in-depth qualitative understanding of the complexities of the collaborative economy phenomenon. These rich accounts contribute to the painting of a complex landscape that spans several countries and regions, and diverse political, cultural, and organisational backdrops. This book also offers important reflections on the role of ethnographic researchers, and on their stance and outlook, that are of paramount interest across the disciplines involved in collaborative economy research

The purpose of this theoretical essay is to present a theoretical and conceptual overview of decoloniality as a theoretical and political movement and its incursions into the teaching of biology and environmental education. First, the concept and historical elements of decoloniality are presented, as well as neighboring concepts that are even often used as synonyms (postcolonialism and southern epistemologies). We also present some critiques woven to this movement in order to alert the need not to romanticize the movement and question it from praxis to enhance it. We then present internal and external criticisms of decoloniality. In a second moment, incursions of decoloniality into the educational field, especially science education, biology teaching and environmental education are presented, denouncing colonial legacies that are reinforced from these fields. However, we also focus on advertisements that have been built since decoloniality, exposing pedagogical and didactic principles related to anti-racist education, approaches to gender and sexuality, and other understandings of nature in anti-capitalist perspectives. We defend that the contributions of decoloniality to the teaching of biology and environmental education are an open field of study and that for this deepening it is important to broaden the theoretical discussions, for more articulated works from the praxis.
