    Geodesy in Geotechnics\ud

    Geodetic methods are one of the possible means of determining the stability of geotechnical objects. The determination of the displacements of the geotechnical objects is specific due to the size and the expected displacements. The expected size of the displacement determines the necessary precision of the displacement determination, whereas the size of the object determines the method of the geodetic measurement. We choose either the terrestrical or the GNSS methods. There is no relevant legal framework for geotechnical measurements. For this reason, we present the characteristics of the single methods and suggest general recommendations regarding the implementation of the geodetic procedures when monitoring the displacements of the geotechnical objects. The recommendations are intended for geotechnical engineers planning the geotechnical objects and the operators of geodetic measurements and investors. The recommendations the facilitate supervision of the geotechnical projects

    Quality assessment of drinking water supply in the municipality of Mirna

    Uvod: Poročila Nacionalnega laboratorija za zdravje, okolje in hrano o zdravstveni ustreznosti pitne vode iz vodovodov v zasebnem upravljanju v občini Mirna v obdobju 2011 - 2015 kažejo na konstantno prekoračitev mejnih vrednosti mikrobioloških indikatorjev. Namen: Namen magistrskega dela je podati oceno stanja vodooskrbe v občini Mirna z vidika zdravstvene ustreznosti pitne vode, ugotoviti, ali je vodooskrba v občini Mirna skladna z zakonskimi zahtevami na področju pitne vode, ter ali oblika upravljanja vpliva na zdravstveno ustreznost in skladnost pitne vode. Metode dela: Uporabili smo deskriptivno metodo za pregled stanja vodooskrbe pri nas in v tujini ter primerjali vodooskrbo iz javnega vodovoda in zasebnega vodovoda. V okviru raziskovalnega dela smo določili strukturo ocenjevanja skladnosti vodooskrbnih sistemov v občini Mirna, ki temelji na identifikaciji higiensko-tehničnih kriterijev, ki so zakonsko normirani. Na podlagi postavljene strukture smo analizirali pet vodovodov, ki oskrbujejo s pitno vodo več kot 50 prebivalcev oziroma zagotavljajo več kot 10 m3 pitne vode na dan. Za vsak vodovod smo podali oceno skladnosti s priporočili. Rezultati: Rezultati raziskave so pokazali, da vsi upravljavci zagotavljajo skladno in zdravstveno ustrezno pitno vodo in izpolnjujejo zakonske zahteve na področju pitne vode. Neskladnosti smo ugotovili tako pri zasebnih kot javnih vodovodih, pri čemer so bile pri posameznem vodovodu ugotovljene največ po tri neskladnosti od 25 ocenjevanih higiensko - tehničnih kriterijev. Pri vseh vodovodih smo ugotovili enako neskladnost, ki se nanaša na neprimerno odvajanje odpadnih voda iz objektov za oskrbo s pitno vodo v okolje. Neskladnosti na področju osebja, ukrepov za odpravo neskladnosti in notranjega nadzora v okviru raziskave nismo ugotovili. Razprava in zaključek: Upravljavci izpolnjujejo zakonske zahteve na področju pitne vode in uporabniku zagotavljajo skladno in zdravstveno ustrezno pitno vodo. Za celovitejšo oceno skladnosti in analizo varnosti vodooskrbe bi morali izdelati ustrezno metodologijo.Introduction: Reports of the National Laboratory of Health, Environment and Food on drinking water from the water supply in the private management in the municipality of Mirna in the 2011-2015 period show a constant breach of maximum levels of microbiological indicators. Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to assess the situation of water supply in the municipality of Mirna in terms the health of drinking water, to determine whether the water supply in the municipality of Mirna complies with legal requirements in the field of drinking water, and if the form of governance affects the health suitability and compliance of drinking water. Methods: We used a descriptive method for checking the condition of water supply in Slovenia and abroad and compared public water supply and private water supply. As part of the research, we formed an assesssment structure for the conformity of water supply systems in the municipality of Mirna, based on hygienic-technical criteria, which are statutory. Based on the set structures, we analyzed five water supply systems that supply to more than 50 persons or provide more than 10 m3 of drinking water per day. For each water supply system, we made an assessment of compliance with the recommendations. Results: The results showed that all operators provide consistent and wholesome drinking water and meet all the legal requirements for drinking water. Inconsistencies were found both in private and public water supply systems works, and they were in each waterworks found no more than three non - compliance of the 25 rated hygienic and technical criteria. In all water supply systems we found the same inconsistency, that refers to the improper discharge of wastewater from the drinking water supply systems facilities to the environment. Inconsistencies in the field of personnel, remedial measures and internal controls were not found in the survey. Discussion and conclusion: The operators comply with legal requirements in the field of drinking water and provide the user with consistent and wholesome drinking water. For a more comprehensive assessment of compliance and a safety analysis of water supply an appropriate methodology should be developed

    IMPACT OF ISO STANDARDS ON BUSINESS RESULTS-CASE STUDY WALER S.R.O.

    Vedno več podjetij uvaja v svoje poslovanje ISO standarde. Veliko gradbenih podjetji uvaja ISO standarde 14001, 18001 in 9001 zaradi ugleda podjetja. ISO standard 14001 opredeljuje zahteve za okoljevarstveni sistem, ki je ključnega pomena za vsako podjetje. ISO standard 18001 je uporaben v podjetjih, ki si prizadevajo za boljši sistemski pristop za vodenje poklicnega zdravja in varnosti pri delu. ISO standard 9001 govori o managementu kakovosti in daje poudarek na prepoznavnih merljivih procesih. V diplomski nalogi smo raziskovali, kako vpliva uvedba ISO standardov 14001, 9001 in 18001 na poslovanje v gradbenem podjetju Waler s.r.o. Zanimalo nas je, ali podjetje posluje bolj uspešno zaradi uvedbe teh standardov. Drugi vidik pa naj bi pokazal ali vpeljava šele po več letih delovanja podjetja pomeni razlike pri poslovanju ali doseganju uspešnosti. Na primeru Waler s.r.o. smo prikazali poslovne izide podjetja, ki je ISO standarde implementiralo po več letih obstoja. Po opravljeni analizi lahko trdimo, da je uvedba ISO standardov pozitivno vplivala na poslovanje podjetja Waler s.r.o. To smo dokazali z uporabo kazalnikov celotno finančno poslovanje, število javnih razpisov, število zaposlenih, skrb za okolje in boljša organiziranost podjetja.More and more companies are implementing ISO standards in their operations. Many construction companies implemented ISO standards 14001, 18001 and 9001 for their corporate image. ISO 14001 standard specifies requirements for environmental system, which is crucial for any business. ISO 18001 standard is applicable to companies that are working to improve the systematic approach to managing occupational health and safety at work. ISO standard 9001 is about quality management and has an emphasis on distinctive measurable processes. In this Diploma thesis we will explore the impact of the implementation of ISO standards 14001, 9001 and 18001 in a construction company Waler s.r.o. We were interested in whether the company operates more successfully in relation with the introduction of these standards. Another aspect to be seen is whether the implementation means any difference in business or in achieving success after several years of business. In the case of Waler s.r.o. we show the business data of Waler s.r.o., which has implemented ISO standards after several years of its existence. After the analysis it can be argued that the implementation of ISO standards had a positive impact on the company business results. We proved this by using indicators of overall financial performance, number of calls for tenders, the number of employees, the environment and better organization of the company

    Conceptual data model of document flow follow-up system in construction process

    Today, project management skills are essential for the majority of organizations. Generally, project management objectives are reduction of time required for project completion and the associated costs. Construction is no exception. Being a traditional sector, construction business has undoubtedly hidden reserves in organization and planning as well as in technology. To improve business performance, these reserves should be identified and used favourably. The thesis discusses management of a construction project and all its important components. The construction project phases and the accompanying documents are presented. The core part of the thesis presents document flow during construction project execution and a conceptual data model for the document follow up. Relations between different documents are identified and recorded. The computerized data model is supported by MS Access. The model is adapted to the owner’s needs, where the owner is a large fuel and gas provider constructing gas stations. This was achieved by incorporating the experience of the owner’s senior project managers into the model. The objective of the data model system is a collection of all project data. Adding documents to the model is easy and user friendly. A clear overview of the project stage, documents already created and documents required can be obtained by the proposed data model. By adding minor modifications, the model could be used in general construction project management. The time lost for tracking the available documents and writing the reports can be diminished by the use of the model. Document management during construction project is more efficient, and by connecting the model to an electronic document archive, a commercial tool could be developed

    Spremljanje in vrednotenje regionalne politike v Sloveniji

    The publication “Monitoring and Evaluation of Regional Policy in Slovenia” was prepared on the basis of the Assessment of Instruments and Mechanisms of Regional Policy project intended for designing the systems for the mid-term and final evaluation of Slovenia’s regional policy. The project has prepared the basis for monitoring and evaluating the regional policy: we treated the monitoring of the regional policy as an important element in the overall development process because it enables constant supervision of the implementation of the policy and the evaluation of the regional policy as a constant interactive process that enables deliberate planning of activities and their adaptation to changing conditions. We focused on the characteristics of monitoring and evaluation in Slovenia’s regional policy and prepared evaluation models that Slovenia’s regional policy should follow in the future. Designing the models we drew from the existing Slovenian and European formal-legal frameworks for establishing monitoring and evaluation system in the 2007–2013 financial perspective.Knjiga želi predstaviti odprta vprašanja spremljanja in vrednotenja slovenske regionalne politike. V njej sta avtorja pripravila izhodišča spremljanja in vrednotenja, pri čemer sta spremljanje obravnavala kot pomemben element v celotnem razvojnem procesu, saj omogoča nenehen nadzor izvajanja, vrednotenje pa kot stalen interaktiven proces, ki omogoča premišljeno načrtovanje aktivnosti in njihovo prilagajanje spreminjajočim se razmeram. Osredotočila sta se na značilnosti spremljanja in vrednotenja v slovenski regionalni politiki ter pripravila modele vrednotenja, ki naj bi jih slovenska regionalna politika upoštevala v bodoče. Pri oblikovanju modelov sta izhajala iz obstoječih slovenskih in evropskih formalno-pravnih okvirjev za vzpostavitev sistemov spremljanja in vrednotenja v finančni perspektivi 2007–2013
