An attempt to obtain Bi_{4}Ti_{3}O_{12}-PVC textured ceramics-polymer composites
Bi_{4}Ti_{3}O_{12}-PVC composites were fabricated. Ceramics powders of
bismuth titanate were prepared by the sol-gel method using bismuth nitrate
pentahydrate Bi(NO_{3})_{3} \cdot 5H_{2}O and tetrabutyl titanate
Ti(CH_{3}(CH_{2})_{3}O)_{4} as precursors. The Bi_{4}Ti_{3}O_{12}-PVC
composites were fabricated from ceramics powders and polymer powders by

Spectroscopy of annular drums and quantum rings: perturbative and nonperturbative results
We obtain systematic approximations to the states (energies and wave
functions) of quantum rings (annular drums) of arbitrary shape by conformally
mapping the annular domain to a simply connected domain. Extending the general
results of Ref.\cite{Amore09} we obtain an analytical formula for the spectrum
of quantum ring of arbirtrary shape: for the cases of a circular annulus and of
a Robnik ring considered here this formula is remarkably simple and precise. We
also obtain precise variational bounds for the ground state of different
quantum rings. Finally we extend the Conformal Collocation Method of
\cite{Amore08,Amore09} to the class of problems considered here and calculate

Exact Solutions of Model Hamiltonian Problems with Effective Interactions
We demonstrate with soluble models how to employ the effective Hamiltonian
approach of Lee and Suzuki to obtain all the exact eigenvalues of the full
Hamiltonian. We propose a new iteration scheme to obtain the effective

Extremes of geometric variables with applications to branching processes

Upper and lower bounds on the mean square radius and criteria for occurrence of quantum halo states
In the context of non-relativistic quantum mechanics, we obtain several upper
and lower limits on the mean square radius applicable to systems composed by
two-body bound by a central potential. A lower limit on the mean square radius
is used to obtain a simple criteria for the occurrence of S-wave quantum halo
