Who youāre gonna call? The development of university digital leaders
In our hyper-connected digitised educational world, university tutors are interested in capitalising on affordances of digital trends in teaching and learning. Students, under the alias of preservice- teachers, walk among them equipped with digital skills in areas of their interest. How can we encourage collaboration between tutors and students that can promote the use of the digital force wisely, support the development of studentsā professional identities further and extend tutorsā digital competences? The story of nine tutors and eleven undergraduate pre-service-teachers working together on digital partnerships is set against discussions around digital leadership and citizenship. This case study aims to highlight how universities can respond to technology-driven change by engaging students further and support their awareness of digital citizenship. The overall results showed that the informal learning that students have capitalised outside the classroom can be used to scaffold their development of digital citizenship through offline community engagement. It demonstrates the advantage of using such opportunities as a means to encourage citizenship practices among university student communities and the positive impact that such synergies can have on all the participants

Ponuda akreditiranih visokoÅ”kolskih ustanova za izobrazbu novinara u Srbiji nije razmjerna broju i snazi medija. Medijski menadžment, meÄutim, istiÄe da je kadar koji stiže s razliÄitih fakulteta uglavnom nedovoljno pripremljen za rad u redakciji. Istodobno, urednici nisu spremni da njihovi novinari pohaÄaju fakultetske, ali ni alternativne vježbe koje bi u skladu s idejom o permanentnom obrazovanju trebale stalno podizati profesionalnu razinu javnog informiranja.

Reaching, engaging and bonding with voters on social media: the case of 2014/2015 Croatian presidential elections
This paper examines the ways in which presidential candidates use social media in their election campaigns to democratise politics and political representation. The study is based on content analysis of statements which candidates in 2014/2015 Croatian presidential elections published on their official Facebook and Twitter accounts. The results show that candidates did not use social media to reach, engage and form stronger bonds with potential voters. By failing to do so, they have missed the opportunity to bring disenchanted voters back into the political arena and potentially increase the legitimacy of the democratic processes
