K3-surfaces with special symmetry
In this dissertation classification problems for K3-surfaces with finite
group actions are considered.
Special emphasis is put on K3-surfaces with antisymplectic involutions and
compatible actions of symplectic transformations. Given a finite group it
is investigated if it can act in a compatible fashion on a K3-surfaces with
antisymplectic involution and to what extend the action of determines the
geometry of . If has large order or rich structure a precise description
of as a branched double cover of a Del Pezzo surface is obtained. In
particular, this leads to classification results for the complete list of
eleven maximal finite groups of symplectic automorphisms of K3-surfaces.
The remaining part of the thesis deals with generalizations to non-maximal
groups and K3-surfaces with non-symplectic automorphisms of higher order.
The classification relies on an equivariant minimal model program for
surfaces, the study of finite group actions on Del Pezzo surfaces, and the
combinatorial intersection geometry of naturally associated exceptional and
fixed point curves.Comment: 106 pages, Dissertation (Ph.D. thesis

PROGRAM OF SEBELAS MARET UNIVERSITY”. DIII Computer
Program. Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Science, Sebelas Maret
University.
Post Graduated Program of UNS have not had application yet which it can be
used to facilitate in thesis or dissertation data collection. It makes difficult for
systematic business line to do data searching process, to serve university student
and to prepare thesis proposal seminar from dissertation until final assignment.
The purpose of this final assignment is to make an Application of Thesis and
Dissertation Data Collection at Post Graduated Program of UNS.
The method of data collecting used in arranging of this final assignment were
interview and documentation. The arranging stages used were database arranging,
program script, making program and process of program checking. The
application was developed using PHP, database was managed by MySQL.
According to the construction of Aplication of Thesis and Dissertation Data
Collection at Post Graduated Program of UNS, we can conclude that the
application has already been implemented.

Don Patinkin's Ph.D. dissertation as the prehistory of disequilibrium theories
Abstract: In the opening sentence of Money, Interest, and Prices, Patinkin noted that his book was the outgrowth of ideas first presented in his doctoral dissertation. This claim has attracted the attention of most scholars who wrote about his works in recent years. As shown by Boianovsky (2006), Merhling (2002) or Rubin (2002), reading Patinkin's doctoral dissertation shed new light on his major work. However, these articles only contain partial presentations of the thesis. This essay contributes to fill in this gap. It offers a detailed presentation of the second part of Patinkin's Ph.D and claims that this document foreshadowed the research programs of disequilibrium theorists of the 1970's.Patinkin, disequilibrium theory, history of macroeconomics, microfoundations, Keynesian theory.
Extension of information geometry for modelling non-statistical systems
In this dissertation, an abstract formalism extending information geometry is
introduced. This framework encompasses a broad range of modelling problems,
including possible applications in machine learning and in the information
theoretical foundations of quantum theory. Its purely geometrical foundations
make no use of probability theory and very little assumptions about the data or
the models are made. Starting only from a divergence function, a Riemannian
geometrical structure consisting of a metric tensor and an affine connection is
constructed and its properties are investigated. Also the relation to
information geometry and in particular the geometry of exponential families of
probability distributions is elucidated. It turns out this geometrical
framework offers a straightforward way to determine whether or not a
parametrised family of distributions can be written in exponential form. Apart
from the main theoretical chapter, the dissertation also contains a chapter of
examples illustrating the application of the formalism and its geometric
properties, a brief introduction to differential geometry and a historical
overview of the development of information geometry.Comment: PhD thesis, University of Antwerp, Advisors: Prof. dr. Jan Naudts and

Effective Assessment Plan Leading to Strong Reform of Petroleum Engineering Graduate Program
The Bob L. Herd Department of Petroleum Engineering at Texas Tech University has made a lot of significant actions of improvement to its graduate program that was motivated by a systematic SACSCOC assessment plan. This paper shows how the SACSCOC assessment plan aided in making continuous actions of improvement and as a conclusion of these actions, how the current graduate curriculum plan was improved. This paper highlights the details of the graduate department assessment plan, such as how graduate program objectives are assessed, what assessment tools are used, when data are gathered and evaluated, and when actions of improvement are made. This paper will also detail how the analysis of data was utilized in making actions of continuous improvement. At the end of the paper examples of the significant actions of improvement made based on the department assessment and evaluation plan are presented.Cockrell School of Engineerin
