    Encounter histories adult spoonbills 1994-2010

    No full text
This datafile (plain textfile to be imported in program E-Surge) contains the encounter histories of 2095 adult (>3cy) Eurasian spoonbills, born between 1988 and 2007 and resighted between summer 1994 and summer 2010. Two resighting periods per year are defined (summer = March-September, winter = December-January for France and Iberia and October-February for Mauritania & Senegal). Events are coded as: (0) not resighted, (1) resighted in summer in The Netherlands, (2) resighted in winter in France, (3) resighted in winter in Iberia, (4) resighted in winter in Mauritania & Senegal. Columns refer to encounter history (H:), sample size (S:) and 'standardized' year of birth (COV:yb), calculated as ([year of birth]-2000)/10

Seasonal resighting histories of adult Eurasian spoonbills

    No full text
The datafile contains seasonal resighting histories of 538 adult Eurasian spoonbills that breed in the Netherlands or Germany and winter in France, Iberia or Mauritania, resighted between October 2005 and September 2012. Resighting periods are defined as October-December and January-March in an individual's wintering area and April-June and July-September in the breeding areas in The Netherlands and Germany. The resighting history of an individual starts with the first resighting as an adult (3rd winter or older) in its wintering region, being France, Iberia or Mauritania (and indicated in the column "group" of the datafile). Further details can be found in the Supplementary Material associated with the manuscript

Daily field observations of colour-marked red knots (marked in Northwest Australia) along the Luannan Coast of Bohai Bay, China during spring migration between 2009 and 2016, in matrix format. Column names represent day of the year, ranging from 130 (10 May) until 150 (30 May) and row names represent the year of observation. Each row represents the daily encounter history of one individual in a particular year, where a "0" implies that the individual was not observed during that particular day, and a "1" implies that the individual was observed at least once

Individual encounter histories of great knots with and without satellite transmitters

    No full text
The datafile contains the encounter histories of individually marked adult great knots (Calidris tenuirostris) with or without a satellite transmitters (denoted by the column 'tag') that were resighted at their primary non-breeding area Roebuck Bay between 2015-2018. All birds were caught in Roebuck Bay in September and October 2014-2016 using cannon-netting, individually marked with 4 coloured bands and a flag. The resightings were pooled into boreal winter years, where July 2015–June 2016 is referred to as winter year 2015. Within each year, the individual can either be seen (1) or not seen (0)
