This research intended to understand the effect of Isomorphic Physics (FORFIS) application to the analogical transfer and self-diagnosis skill of high school students. The use of Android applications in physics learning has given a considerable influence in improving the various abilities of learners. However, no one has measured the influence of the Android application on the analogical transfer and self-diagnosis skill of students, especially in physics subject. This research type was experimental research of pre-test post-test control group design. The subjects involved in this research were 1 physics teacher and 87 students of SMA Negeri 3 Kupang; 28 students in the experimental class I (G1), 35 students in the experimental class II (G2), and 24 students in the experimental class III (G3). The data obtained were analyzed using the ANOVA Mixed Design method in combination with General Linear Model. The results of the analysis show that the FORFIS application could improve 0.912 or 91.2% of the students’ analogical transfer and self-diagnosis skill. Therefore, the FORFIS application employed in physics learning had a great influence on the improvement of analogical transfer and self-diagnosis skill of high school students

Exploratory Factor Analysis Research Instrument Confidence Attitude Toward Students

This article examines the analysis of the validity of constructs on an instrument. The instrument used was a questionnaire about the students' self-confidence. This analysis is done in order to know what factors affect the attitude of confidence to students. Analysis of construct validity is done by exploratory factor analysis with the help of SPSS program version 22. Quantitative descriptive research is used in this research. The number of samples used was 50 respondents. The results of this study indicate that 1) In the exploratory factor analysis performed, the value of KMO of.588 which means the sample used as much as 50 already meet the adequacy. 2) Insufficient MSA value >.50 is 3, 4 and 12 so it needs to be re-analyzed. The value of the MSA has qualified after the analysis without the three items. 3) Considering the value of communality >.50, then points 2 and 11 do not qualify with each value of 0.485 and 0.477 means it needs to be re-analyzed. After re-analyzed, the value of KMO, MSA and communal have been fulfilled. 4) Testing with exploratory factor analysis, there are 4 factors of research instrument self-confidence to the student with total variance that is explained equal to 65.806% from result of measurement. Of the four factors obtained, it can be grouped based on the factor load more than.05. Factor 1 contains points 1, 10, 13 and 17. In Factor 2 contains points 8, 14, 15 and 18. Factor 3 contains items 5, 6 and 9 and factor 4 contains items 7 and 16. Based on factor loads after rotating, naming the four factors each is courage, persistence, optimism and life challenge.     Keywords: Attitude of Confidence, Construct Validity, Exploratory Factor Analysi

Abstract The purpose of this study is to look at the validity and reliability of the symbolic representation ability test instrument, as well as the spread of the symbolic representation abilities of high school students. The research method used is the development of test instruments. Nine items were developed with 5 alternative answers. The physics material being tested is Newton’s Law of Motion. The results of the validation analysis showed that the instrument developed was valid, with Aiken’s V value greater than 0.88. Also, the instrument developed was compatible with the Rasch model. The characteristics of the difficulty index test items are in the good category. The reliability of the instrument is 0.70, and is feasible to be used to measure the symbolic representation ability of students with a minimum ability of -1.25. The trial was conducted on 62 students of SMA Negeri 1 Banguntapan. The average measurement result of the symbolic representation ability of students in high school physics subjects is -0,001 ± 0,144. It can be concluded that the symbolic representation ability of students of SMA Negeri 1 Banguntapan in physics is in the medium category.</jats:p

Abstract Development of important experimental tools in learning creative and innovative physics. The study aims to develop a sound wave experiment tool influenced by wind velocity. This tool is validated by comparing with standard measurements. The experimental apparatus is made of PVC tubes both ends of the open tube with a length of 137 cm. For the wind velocity obtained from a mini fan that is placed at one end of the tube open and regulated using a dimmer. It that enters the PVC tube is measured using an anemometer. The experiment kit is equipped with a pinch microphone to capture sounds and audacity software to display sound waves that enter the PVC tube. The experimental results obtained a sound velocity of 345.7 m/s with a wind velocity of 3.2 m/s. Sound velocity 347.5 m/s with wind velocity 5.0 m/s and sound velocity 348.9 m/s with sound velocity 6.4 m/s. Thus, the higher wind velocity value, the higher sound velocity. The contribution of this research is the innovation of physics laboratory media in the field of education.</jats:p

Behavioral problems become special attention to learning. Some teachers confronted with a variety of student behaviors and varied learning outcomes. This research was aimed to determine the relationship between learning outcomes and student learning behavior with ranking score. A total of 91 of 10th-grade students with three different classes became respondents. The research was used Mixed methods with the sequential explanatory approach. Quantitative data were obtained by giving multiple-choice questions. The interview method was used to collect qualitative data. Kruskal Wallis test was used to analyze quantitative data and the interview transcript analyzed by the keyword of student behavior in learning physics. The results show that behavior while learning is very significant towards student learning outcomes. Interview findings show that student behavior during the learning process could affect learning outcomes.</jats:p
