    EFFECTIVENESS OF THE REALISTIC MATHEMATICS EDUCATION APPROACH TO THE ABILITY TO SOLVE MATHEMATICAL PROBLEMS

    The purpose of this study is to find out how effective the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach is. The research method used in this study is the experimental method. The sampling technique uses simple random sampling technique. The instrument for collecting data in this study is an essay test consisting of 8 items. The data analysis technique used is the t-test, and based on the t-test calculation shows t-count = 10,098 and t-table = 2,002 at the significant level of 5% or ( = 0,05) and the degree of freedom (dk = 58) which means t-count t table (10,098 2,002) then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. The conclusion is that the average mathematical problem solving ability of students given the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach is higher than the mathematical problem solving abilities of students who are given an expository approach. And the effectiveness calculation for the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach is quite high, which is 2,605. Thus, there is an influence and effectiveness of the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach in the teaching and learning process

    The Effect of I-CARE Learning Model on the Students' Metacognition

    The general objective of this study was to find and analyze empirically the effect of the I Care learning model on the students' metacognition. The method used in this research was the experimental method. The affordable population in this study was grade X students of SMK Assyafiah which is located at Jalan Bukit Duri No.29, South Jakarta 2016/2017 academic year. The sample of the study was 60 students obtained through random sampling method that the researcher mixed in the population so that all subjects were considered the same. Data collection was done by documentation techniques (learning model variables) and test techniques (student metacognition variables). The collected data was then analyzed using the t-test. Before the data was analyzed, first descriptive statistical analysis and data requirements test (normality test, homogeneity test) were carried out. The results of the study showed that there was an influence of the I Care learning model on the students' metacognition. In other words, students' metacognition who used the I Care learning model was higher than the students' metacognition who used constructivism learning model

    Students’ and Teachers’ Perspectives on EFL Textbook For Senior High School Students

    The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of an English textbook “Bahasa Inggris SMA/MA/SMK/MAK Kelas X” from the perspectives of students and teachers. The textbook was prepared by the Indonesian Ministry of National Education for the 10th-grade students and used by some teachers during the 2018-2019 academic year. The evaluation of the concern for the textbook is carried out at the macro level based on eleven parameters. Data was obtained through student questionnaires administered to 94 students and through interviews with four teachers. The data were analyzed and grouped according to 11 criteria used in this study for the evaluation of the particular textbook. The results revealed that both teachers and students felt negative about some of the characteristics of the textbook. It was found that the reading passages needed to be simplified in terms of vocabulary load and that the grammar needed to be presented in detail. The majority of students indicated that the level of the textbook was not appropriate for the particular age group. The teachers pointed out that the tasks and activities were not organized from easy to difficult stages. Also, the listening activities were not supported by audio recordings that should have been included in the textbook. Moreover, the students expected the book to include multiple-choice exercises. It implies that some aspects of the textbook need to be revised, and the audio recordings must be included to support the listening activities. On the other hand, one of the strengths of the textbook was that the activities in the textbook involved opportunities that encourage students’ creativity, interest, and curiosity.Keywords: EFL textbook, textbook evaluation, macro evaluatio

    Pengaruh Kecerdasan Intrapersonal dan Kemampuan Berpikir Positif Terhadap Kemampuan Penguasaan Konsep Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui: (1) Pengaruh langsung kecerdasan intrapersonal terhadap kemampuan penguasaan konsep Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam, (2) Pengaruh langsung kemampuan berpikir positif terhadap kemampuan penguasaan konsep Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam, (3) Pengaruh langsung kecerdasan intrapersonal terhadap kemampuan berpikir positif, (4) Pengaruh tidak langsung kecerdasan intrapersonal terhadap kemampuan penguasaan konsep Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam melalui kemampuan berpikir positif. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survey, dengan menggunakan analisis. Uji hipotesis menggunakan analisis jalur. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan: (1) Terdapat pengaruh langsung yang signifikan kecerdasan intrapersonal terhadap kemampuan penguasaan konsep Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam siswa SMP Negeri di Kota Cilegon, hal ini dibuktikan dengan perolehan nilai thitung 4,843 ? ttabel 1,988. (2) Terdapat pengaruh langsung yang signifikan kemampuan berpikir positif terhadap kemampuan penguasaan konsep Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam siswa SMP Negeri di Kota Cilegon, hal ini dibuktikan dengan perolehan nilai thitung 2,314 ? ttabel 1,988. (3) Terdapat pengaruh langsung yang signifikan kecerdasan intrapersonal terhadap kemampuan berpikir positif siswa SMP Negeri di Kota Cilegon, hal ini dibuktikan dengan perolehan nilai thitung 15,837 ? ttabel 1,988. (4) Terdapat pengaruh tidak langsung yang signifikan kecerdasan intrapersonal terhadap kemampuan penguasaan konsep Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam melalui kemampuan kemampuan berpikir positif siswa SMP Negeri di Kota Cilegon, hal ini dibuktikan dengan perolehan nilai thitung 2,384 ? ttabel 1,988.Kata Kunci: Kecerdasan Intrapersonal, Kemampuan Berpikir Positif, dan Kemampuan Penguasaan Konsep Ilmu Pengetahuan Ala

    THE EFFECT OF VOCABULARY MASTERY AND READING INTEREST TOWARDS THE ABILITY OF NARATIVE TEXT COMPREHENSION (Survey at SMP Negeri East Jakarta)

    The purpose of knowing and analyzing the influence of vocabulary mastery and reading interest on the Ability to Understand Narrative Text. The population observed in this research is the students of class VIII (Eight) SMP Negeri in Kecamatan Makasar East Jakarta. The sample numbered 60 respondents from 3 schools. The sample was obtained through a simple random sample, that is the researcher combined respondents in the population so that they would be measured in the same amount. This study has three variables divided into 2 independent variables (vocabulary mastery and reading interest variables) and 1 dependent variable (Understanding Narrative Text Skill variable). Data collection is done through multiple choice tests, questionnaires and written tests for all variables. Data acquisition was then analyzed using multiple correlation and regression techniques. Before performing a regression test, the test of analysis requirements must be achieved first, such as normality test and linearity test. The result of this research is 1) There is a significant influence of vocabulary mastery and reading interest together to the Ability to Understand Narrative Text of Junior High School Students in Kecamatan Makasar in East Jakarta. This is evidenced by the value of Sig. 0,000 <0.05 and F_ count = 29,769; 2) There is a significant influence of vocabulary mastery on the Ability to Understand Narrative Text of Junior High School Students in Kecamatan Makasar in East Jakarta. This is evidenced by the value of Sig. 0.000 <0.05 and thitung = 4.863; 3) There is a significant influence of reading interest on the Ability to Understand Narrative Text of Junior High School Students in Kecamatan Makasar in East Jakarta. This is evidenced by the value of Sig. 0.000 <0.05 and thitung = 4.438; . It shows that the ability to understand Narrative Text is highly controlled or influenced by their vocabulary mastery and reading interest.     PKM Pelatihan Pemanfaatan Interactive Whiteboard dalam Pembelajaran Daring bagi Guru

    Pembelajaran di masa pandemi COVID-19 ini menuntut kreativitas guru dalam memberikan pembelajaran yang menarik dan mudah dimengerti walaupun dilakukan secara daring. Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan pemanfaatan aplikasi smartboard khususnya mengenai fitur interactive whiteboard (selanjutnya, IWB) kepada guru sekolah menengah dalam pembelajaran daring. Pelatihan ini berlangsung secara daring melalui media zoom meeting dan merupakan salah satu dari rangkaian pelatihan yang dilaksanakan Fakultas Pascasarjana Universitas Indraprasta pada tanggal 17 Februari dan 24 Februari 2021. Hasil dari pengabdian masyarakat ini diharapkan dapat memberikan solusi alternatif bagi para guru dalam memberikan pembelajaran daring di tengah pandemi COVID-19. Pelatihan penggunaan IWB ini telah memberi kontribusi bagi para guru berupa ilmu dan wawasan tentang teknologi pendidikan mutakhir. Selain itu, melalui pelatihan ini diharapkan para guru dapat meningkatkan kemahiran dalam mengajar yaitu dengan melakukan berbagai teknik dan pendekatan pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan kondisi pandemi saat ini, salah satunya melalui pemanfaatan aplikasi smartbord

    Pengaruh Minat Baca dan Penguasaan Kosakata terhadap Kemampuan Menulis Teks Narasi

    Tujuan Penenelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh minat baca dan  penguasaan kosakata secara bersama-sama  terhadap  kemampuan menulis narasi siswa SMP Negeri di Kota Tangerang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei yang dilakukan pada sampel yang berjumlah  90 orang. Teknik Pengambilan sampel adalah dengan Proporsional Rundem Sampling. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan: 1) Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan minat baca dan penguasaan kosakata secara bersama-sama terhadap kemampuan menulis teks narasi siswa SMP Negeri di wilayah Kota Tangerang. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan perolehan nilai Sig. 0,000 < 0,05 dan Fh = 23,528, 2) Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan minat baca terhadap kemampuan menulis teks narasi siswa SMP Negeri di wilayah Kota Tangerang. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan perolehan nilai Sig. 0,031 < 0,05 dan th = 2,187, 3) Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan penguasaan kosakata terhadap kemampuan menulis teks narasi siswa SMP Negeri di wilayah Kota Tangerang. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan perolehan nilai Sig. 0,000 < 0,05 dan th = 5,848.Kata Kunci: Minat Baca, Penguasaan Kosakata, dan Kemampuan Menulis Teks Naras

    Efektivitas Model Pembelajaran Reflective dalam Meningkatkan Kreativitas Siswa di Madrasah Tsanawiyah

    Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan menganalisa kreativitas matematis siswa dalam pembelajaran reflective model. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen dengan sampel 40 siswa MTS. Kreativitas matematis siswa diukur melalui soal tes yang terdiri dari 21 soal pilihan ganda dan 8 soal essay, dengan teknik analisis data menggunakan uji-t. Hasil menunjukan bahwa kreativitas matematis siswa yang diajarkan menggunakan pembelajaran reflective lebih tinggi daripada yang diajarkan dengan model pembelajaran konvensional (jigsaw). Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran reflective efektif.Kata Kunci: Model Pembelajaran reflective, kreativitas matematika siswa

    Pengaruh Metode Pembelajaran Dan Minat Belajar Terhadap Hasil Belajar IPA

    The purpose of this study is to find out; 1) Effect of Learning Methods on Science Learning Outcomes of Jakarta State Middle School students. 2) The effect of learning interest on the learning outcomes of students of Jakarta Public Middle School. 3) Interactive Influence Learning methods and interest in learning the science learning outcomes of students of Jakarta State Middle School. The research method used is an experimental method using two-way ANOVA technique. The research sample was taken from an affordable population with cluster random sampling technique which was 64 students. The research instrument used is a test of science learning outcomes. The results of this study indicate; 1) There is a significant influence on the learning method of science learning outcomes for grade IX students of Public Middle Schools in South Jakarta. This is evidenced by the acquisition of sig values of 0.000 <0.05, and Fhitung = 14.157. 2) There is a significant effect of learning interest on learning outcomes in class IX students of Public Middle Schools in South Jakarta. This is evidenced by the acquisition of sig values of 0,000 <0,05 and Fhitung = 18,688. 3) There is a significant interactive effect between learning methods and learning interest on science learning outcomes for students in grade IX of State Junior High Schools in South Jakarta. This is evidenced by the acquisition of sig values of 0.02> 0.05 and Fhitung = 10.254. The implication of the results of the study found that there was a significant effect of the interaction of learning methods and the level of students' interest in learning science learning outcomes. Overall it was found that the learning outcomes of students who were taught with the Group Work learning method were higher than conventional learning methods. This phenomenon shows that there is a significant influence between science learning methods and the level of learning interest in science learning outcomes.Keywords: Learning Methods, Learning Interests, and Science Learning Outcome

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1). pengaruh langsung efikasi diri terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika. (2). pengaruh langsung kemandirian belajar siswa terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika. (3). pengaruh langsung efikasi diri dan kemandirian belajar siswa terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa. (4). pengaruh tidak langsung efikasi diri terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika melalui kemandirian belajar siswa. Pendekatan penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan metode survey korelasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMA Negeri di Kabupaten Tangerang dengan jumlah populasi 1005 dan jumlah sampel 100. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cara multistage random sampling. Analisis data dengan menggunakan metode statistik deskripsi dengan uji persyaratan analisis data dan uji hipotesis dengan uji korelasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1). terdapat pengaruh langsung yang signifikan efikasi diri terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika. (2). terdapat pengaruh langsung yang signifikan kemandirian belajar siswa terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika. (3). terdapat pengaruh langsung yang signifikan efikasi diri dan kemandirian belajar siswa terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa. (4). terdapat pengaruh tidak langsung yang signifikan efikasi diri terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika melalui kemandirian belajar siswa
