Series d–f Heteronuclear Metal–Organic Frameworks: Color Tunability and Luminescent Probe with Switchable Properties
A series of five
unique d–f heteronuclear luminescent metal–organic frameworks
(MOFs) in an entangled polyrotaxane array and the light-harvesting
block homonuclear zinc compound have been isolated successfully and
characterized. The series of isostructural polymers feature 3,4-connected
(4.82)Â(4.83.92)Â(6.8.9)2(6.92)Â(83) topology and high stability, exhibiting
diverse void spaces. By taking advantage of the isostructural MOFs <b>2</b> and <b>3</b>, the intensities of red and green emissions
can be modulated by adjusting the ratios of EuIII and TbIII ions correspondingly, and white-light emission can be generated
by a combination of different doped TbIII and EuIII concentrations. The Tb–Zn-based framework {[Tb3Zn6(bipy2)2(Hmimda)7 (H2O)3]·5H2O}<i>n</i> (<b>3</b>; H3mimda = 2-methyl-1-<i>H</i>-imidazole-4,5-dicarboxylic acid and bipy = 4,4′-bipyridine)
can detect trace MgII ion with relatively high sensitivity
and selectivity. Dehydrated MOF <b>3a</b> shows a remarkable
emission quenching effect through the introduction of I2 solids. Further investigation indicates that it exhibits turn on/off
switchable properties for small solvent molecules or heavy-metal ions.
Steady/transient-state near-IR luminescence properties for MOFs <b>1</b>, <b>4</b>, and <b>5</b> were investigated under
visible-light excitation
The complete mitochondrial genome of <i>Sarcophaga angarosinica</i> (Diptera: Sarcophagidae)
Sarcophaga (Liosarcophaga) angarosinica (Rohdendorf, 1937) (Diptera: Sarcophagidae) is a species of both medical and ecological significance. In this study, the complete mitochondrial genome (mitogenome) of S. angarosinica was sequenced and characterized. The mitogenome has a total length of 15,215 bp, including 13 protein-coding genes, two ribosomal RNAs, 22 transfer RNAs, and an adenine and thymine-rich region. This mitogenome comprises 39.5% adenine, 9.4% guanine, 14.4% cytosine, and 36.8% thymine. Phylogenetic analysis revealed that S. angarosinica is closely related to Sarcophaga similis. This study enriches the genetic data on S. angarosinica and will contribute to establishing the phylogenetic relationships among flesh flies.</p
Table1_Comparative efficacy of different Chinese patent medicines in preventing restenosis after percutaneous coronary intervention: a systematic review and Bayesian network meta-analysis of randomized clinical trials.xlsx
Background: Chinese patent medicines (CMPs) have curative effectiveness in preventing coronary restenosis. However, the relative efficacy between different CPMs has not been sufficiently investigated. Methods: Randomized clinical trials were searched from electronic databases including PubMed, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, Embase, CNKI, VIP, WanFang, SinoMed, Chinese Clinical Trial Registry, and ClinicalTrials.gov. Bayesian network meta-analysis was performed to analyze CPMs’ efficacy in preventing angiographic restenosis, recurrence angina, acute myocardial infarction, and target lesion revascularization after percutaneous coronary intervention. Results: This network meta-analysis included 47 trials with 5,077 patients evaluating 11 interventions. Regarding angiographic restenosis, the efficacy of CPMs (except Xuezhikang capsule) combined with standard treatment (Std) was superior to Std alone, and Guanxin Shutong capsule plus Std reduced the risk of angiographic restenosis by 76% (relative risk 0.24, 95% confidence interval 0.11–0.45, and very low to moderate certainty of evidence), most likely the best intervention. Fufang Danshen dripping pill combined with Std showed superiority over other interventions for relieving recurrence angina, which can reduce the risk by 83% (RR 0.17, 95% CI 0.04–0.51, very low to moderate certainty of evidence) compared to Std alone. In acute myocardial infarction after percutaneous coronary intervention, compared with Std alone, Danhong injection plus Std displayed a significant effect (RR 0.11, 95% CI 0.00–0.69, very low to moderate certainty of evidence) and was the best treatment probably. Chuanxiongqin tablet plus Std was the most effective treatment for reducing target lesion revascularization by 90% (RR 0.10, 95% CI 0.00–0.60, very low to moderate certainty of evidence) compared with Std alone. Conclusion: The results indicated that CPMs combined with Std reduced the risk of coronary restenosis after percutaneous coronary intervention. However, the results should be interpreted cautiously due to significant data limitations.</p

Antiviral Activity of Graphene Oxide: How Sharp Edged Structure and Charge Matter
Graphene oxide and its derivatives
have been widely explored for
their antimicrobial properties due to their high surface-to-volume
ratios and unique chemical and physical properties. However, little
information is available on their effects on viruses. In this study,
we report the broad-spectrum antiviral activity of GO against pseudorabies
virus (PRV, a DNA virus) and porcine epidemic diarrhea virus (PEDV,
an RNA virus). Our results showed that GO significantly suppressed
the infection of PRV and PEDV for a 2 log reduction in virus titers
at noncytotoxic concentrations. The potent antiviral activity of both
GO and rGO can be attributed to the unique single-layer structure
and negative charge. First, GO exhibited potent antiviral activity
when conjugated with PVP, a nonionic polymer, but not when conjugated
with PDDA, a cationic polymer. Additionally, the precursors Gt and
GtO showed much weaker antiviral activity than monolayer GO and rGO,
suggesting that the nanosheet structure is important for antiviral
properties. Furthermore, GO inactivated both viruses by structural
destruction prior to viral entry. The overall results suggest the
potential of graphene oxide as a novel promising antiviral agent with
a broad and potent antiviral activity
The selection of the spread of the GRNN-ARIMA model.
<p>ARIMA=the autoregressive integrated moving average; GRNN=the generalized regression neural network. The spread values between 0.5 and 1.5 with an interval of 0.05 were selected to find the minimum RMSE for the testing samples. When the spread was 0.95, the RMSE was lowest.</p
