AGRIBUSINESS EXECUTIVE EDUCATION AND KNOWLEDGE EXCHANGE: NEW MECHANISMS OF KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT INVOLVING THE UNIVERSITY, PRIVATE FIRM STAKEHOLDERS AND PUBLIC SECTOR
The Argentine scenario of the 90s shows that although competitiveness improved, the agrifood system is unable to react immediately to the market because of low efficiency, poor training in agribusiness and high taxation. In the year 2000, FAUBA, the School of Agronomy of the University of Buenos Aires, created two executive management postgraduate courses in food and agribusiness that combined theory with hands-on exercises focused on the competitive management of agrifood chains and on quality. The new courses intended to meet the demand of the food and agribusiness private and public sectors with the aim of creating knowledge, reconverting human resources and providing innovation capabilities, key to building competitiveness.Agribusiness, Teaching/Communication/Extension/Profession,

Instruments related to Intellectual Property, in order to be included in the property’s right allows differentiation as an intangible asset, providing legal security and guaranteeing that the income generated by such differentiation get back to the farmers. In this case study referred to Rabbit production in the province of La Rioja, Argentina, collective trademark is the right tool to apply since it enables the construction of "social capital"; bringing together stakeholders around a production and marketing scheme, empowering them and transcending the economic´s aspects. The implementation of trademark’s strategy is reached after a process of knowledge’s construction that allows improvements with the use of existing technologies and resources that helps to increase scale’s economy, and the incorporation of entrepreneur’s associations. Those actions have been supported and driven by local development’s policies of the local government

Clean technologies and energy efficiency in SMEs
A strategic association has been made between the National University of Tres de Febrero (UNTREF) and the Municipality of Tres de Febrero. These institutions jointly analyzed SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises) located in the mentioned district, with the aim of designing and analyzing the implementation of clean technologies. Firstly, based on the information provided by the Industry Department, the SME sector was surveyed. Three manufacturing companies from different
industries were selected, in order to carry out the proposed study. In this connection, a diagnosis tool was designed for each case, in order to detect possible areas for improvement to optimize the resources required for the process, implement renewable energy sources, minimize waste and improve the working environment, among others. This tool is designed to be used through the whole SME sector, and
not exclusively for the analyzed cases. Based on the results achieved, a working team has been constituted with representatives of the associated sectors, in order to design different alternatives to be implemented in each case. Said alternatives aim at minimizing or mitigating the environmental impact caused by the Companies
manufacturing processes. The objective is to incorporate technologies
and practices following the premise of sustainable development, promoting the environment care, thus improving companies competitiveness
