Factors affecting the implementation of information literacy education in Malaysian primary schools
Information literacy (IL) is one of the 21st century survival skills. The concept of IL has spread widely, and IL programmes have appeared in many countries in formal settings such as schools and higher education institutions, workplaces, and community and continuing education programmes. Information literacy education (ILE) in Malaysia is officially integrated into the school curriculum. Though the Malaysian government claims that IL has been implemented in the country’s education system, anecdotal evidence suggests that the extent of ILE is uneven across schools.Thus, the goal of this qualitative study has been to identify the factors affecting the implementation of ILE in Malaysian primary schools and to explore how these factors are facilitating or hindering the process.
The first stage in the research was to develop a preliminary model based on three theories: Hall and Hord’s Concerns Based Adoption Model (CBAM), Chen’s Action Model and Fullan’s Theory of Educational Change. CBAM provided a guide to identify the stages of implementation and factors that could affect ILE implementation within schools. The other two theories were used to identify and understand potential factors internal and external to the school ecology. Also incorporated into the model were other factors identified from the literature, such as teachers’ lack of time and resources. The interpretive paradigm was chosen in order to produce deep insights into the research problem. To explore how ILE was being implemented and to identify factors that were facilitating or hindering its implementation, case studies were conducted involving four primary schools of different types in Malaysia. Documentary evidence was gathered and semi-structured interviews were conducted with staff in these schools and with key stakeholders in education administration.
Analysis of the transcripts of the interviews showed that the development and progress of ILE implementation is slower than might be expected. Hence, a range of factors hindering and facilitating ILE implementation have been identified. Most interviewees had positive attitudes towards ILE. They believed that ILE was important and had the potential to make teaching and learning activities more engaging and fun. The interviewees however also reported that there were problems in implementing ILE. These problems were associated with individual, organisational, social and cultural factors. It was also noted that there were different priorities accorded to ILE implementation in the case study schools. This was related to the different linguistic settings.
Findings from this study are significant to reorient the education and training system in the country so that students are able to develop the knowledge, skills and expertise essential to fully participate in today’s digital environment. Findings also provide insight into ILE implementation in different social and cultural contexts, so contribute new perspectives to existing, Western dominated theory
Using Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) Standards as a “Wake-Up Call” to Information Resource Assessment: An early view
The purpose of collection assessment is to determine the strengths and weaknesses of library collection. This article is to uncover the extent of academic library collection in supporting the needs of academic programmes. This study chose Malaysian Qualifications Agency’s Standards as an assessment guideline. The research approach is a mixed-method and exploratory approach. The main finding revealed that the information resources seemed to be imbalanced in its capacity and was less incorporating with the MQA guidelines for collection timeliness. The finding is valuable to the library administrators as a “wake-up call” to further improve their collection development process.

Industrial Internship Student's Expectations and Feedback towards Student Professional Skills Development
Theoretical knowledge and industry experience are crucial for the higher learning student's professional development. There was little literature previously that adopted the model or theories to find out the behavior of industrial internship students on knowledge reuse. This study aims to confirm the phenomena of knowledge reuse practice among industrial internship duration by constructing the model combination of individual characteristics, environmental, and technological factors with related knowledge reuse behavior that is able to influence the personal development of industrial students. From the survey involving 183 respondents, this research analysis shows that all six measures pass the good item-scale reliability result.

Information Systems become one of the most vital applications to reduce human-errors in any organization. The usage of information system sped up as human knowledge expanded. Thus, the management of human knowledge is much easier now through the systems application. Various applications of invention help employees and network users to work effectively and save cost and time efficiently. This study was an attempt to determine users’ satisfaction towards student-based information system. The positivism method and deductive approach were chosen for as the research paradigm. Data gathered from the selected respondents through the survey using the questionnaire as a research instrument. The study took place at the Grand Premier Institute of Higher Learning among the undergraduate students and administrative staff at faculties. In this research, the sample size was 262 out of 8300 population size, using simple random sampling as a sampling technique. Finally, an analysis of data conducted using the Statistical Package for the Social Science (SPSS) function of descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, and parametric test as the data analysis approach

This study aims to determine if there are any feelings of burnout among the Teaching librarians at the IL department located in an academic library of a research University in Malaysia. This research is held at the IL department at a selected academic library of a research University in Malaysia. MBI (Maslach and Jackson, 1986) is used to measure job burnout. The MBI contains three subscales: emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and personal accomplishment. The nine items in the emotional exhaustion subscale describe feelings of being emotionally overextended and exhausted by one's work. The five items in the depersonalization subscale describe an unfeeling and impersonal response towards one's care or service recipients. This paper is about the development of Web based Cataloging System as a solution to replace the client-based cataloging system. The sole prerequisite for using this cataloguing system is internet connectivity. In comparison to clientbased cataloguing systems, web-based cataloguing systems offer shorter and more convenient installation times. In order to address issues users of clientbased cataloguing systems have, the main goal of this project is to investigate web-based cataloguing systems. Creating a web-based cataloguing system will help users with issues they have with client-based cataloguing systems. to assess the system for online cataloguing. The library system and its corresponding webbased user interface are the main subjects of the study. The library system, which is a comprehensive system in the education sector, comprises of more than 20 modules. One of the major modules, the cataloguing module, will be the main topic of development and research for this project. In order to catalogue library materials, a librarian must complete a number of tasks in this module. These functions—save, save and index, index, unindexed, duplicate record, delete record, search from index and buffer, add tag, term search, add subfield, non-filling indicator, and authority link—will be built for this cataloguing module. With the help of the function save, librarians can catalogue library resources and temporarily save them in a table

A Systematic Review of Anomaly Detection within High Dimensional and Multivariate Data
In data analysis, recognizing unusual patterns (outliers’ analysis or anomaly detection) plays a crucial role in identifying critical events. Because of its widespread use in many applications, it remains an important and extensive research brand in data mining. As a result, numerous techniques for finding anomalies have been developed, and more are still being worked on. Researchers can gain
vital knowledge by identifying anomalies, which helps them make better meaningful data analyses. However, anomaly detection is even more challenging when the datasets are high-dimensional and multivariate. In the literature, anomaly detection has received much attention but not as much as anomaly detection, specifically in high dimensional and multivariate conditions. This paper systematically reviews the existing related techniques and presents extensive coverage of challenges and perspectives of anomaly detection within highdimensional and multivariate data. At the same time, it provides a clear insight into the techniques developed for anomaly detection problems. This paper aims to help select the best technique that suits its rightful purpose. It has been found that PCA, DOBIN, Stray algorithm, and DAE-KNN have a high learning rate compared to Random projection, ROBEM, and OCP methods. Overall, most methods have shown an excellent ability to tackle the curse of dimensionality and multivariate features to perform anomaly detection. Moreover, a comparison of each algorithm for anomaly detection is also provided to produce a better algorithm. Finally, it would be a line of future studies to extend by comparing the methods on other domain-specific datasets and offering a comprehensive anomaly interpretation in describing the truth of anomalies
