This study was conducted to determine the relationship of the intensity on school wifi utilization on learning performance, the relationship between interest on school wifi utilization with learning performance and the relationship between the intensity and interest on the wifi school facilities utilization on learning performance. This study was a corelational research and using quantitative research methodology. The population were the X, XI, and XII class in the Academic Year of 2011/2012 in SMA N 1 Jetis Bantul totaling of 576 students, divided into 18 classes, which were than sampled of 93 students according to Suharsimi Arikunto and using purposive sampling technique. The test instrument was conducted on 30 respondents in the study population beyond the sample. Methods for collecting data were using questionnaires and documentation. Questionnaire method was using to collect the variable data for interests on wifi school facilities utilization. While the documentation a method was using to collect the variable data for intensity on wifi school utilization and the value of students’ learning performance data. The techniques of data analysis was product moment correlation and multiple regression analysis. The criteria for rejection and acceptance of hypothesis test was using a significance level of 5%. The results showed that there was a positive and significant relationship between the intensity of wifi school facilities utilization with students’ learning performance on ICT subjects, it mean that the higher intensity on wifi school facilities utilization, the higher students’ learning performance. There was a positive and significant relationship between the interest of wifi school facilities utilization with the students’ learning performance on ICT subjects, it mean that the higher interest of wifi school facilities utilization, the higher students’ learning performance. There was a positive and significant relationship between the intensity and interest of wifi school facilities utilization with the students’ learning performance on ICT subjects. It could be seen from the determinant coefficient of R2 for 0327. This might imply that the intensity and interest in the use of wifi facilities contribute to the students’ success on ICT subjects of 32% while the remaining was explained by other factors. Keywords: The intensity of wifi school facilities utilization, the interest of wifi school facilities utilization and the learning performance of ICT subject

2 kWatt Harmonic Analyzer Prototype Using Discrete Fourier Transform Method

    Get PDF
We knew that there are so many power harmonic analyzer in the market. Much of them are from well known company and commercialize that bring the engineer found it easily. In this paper we just want to proclaim that Indonesian engineer has capability to develop such that system. That is why we want to introduce a 2kWatt harmonic analyzer prototype using Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT). The prototype is built up using ATMega 32 Microcontroller. Fourier transform mechanism is made and then plant in the microcontroller that is functioned as a processor. This controller is chosen, because it has some advantages, one of it is an internal ADC that give the user easily to convert from analog unit into digital one. After prototype was completely finished, it was tested with 13 different types of load and compared with the well know product of Fluke 41B Power Harmonics Analyzer. From that test, we can deliver some conclusion are the error average of voltage THD is 1.8% and error average of current THD is 1.96%

Islamic Boarding School Management: A Comprehensive Analysis of a Special Program for Fostering Students' Disciplinary Character in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah

This study investigates the role of Islamic Boarding School Management in fostering disciplined character among students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) Al Ma'had An-Nur, utilizing a qualitative, descriptive approach. Data collection involved interviews, observations, and documentation, focusing on the disciplinary program's planning, implementation, and evaluation stages. The research highlights the Islamic Boarding School as a critical environment for continuous supervision and character development, embedding Quranic values in everyday life. The process involves three educational pillars: madrasah, family, and community, with learning experiences shaped through exemplary behavior and habituation. The study's findings show that at MI Al Ma'had An-Nur, disciplinary character development is executed through structured phases, incorporating goal setting, program implementation, continuous support, and rigorous evaluation. The school's approach integrates religious, educational, and communal elements, making it a powerful model for Islamic education. However, the study's focus on a single institution and reliance on qualitative data suggest broader research, including comparative studies and quantitative methods, to deepen understanding of Islamic Boarding School practices. The research serves as a reference for other Islamic schools in developing character development programs and contributes to the broader field of Islamic education

Purpose – This study aimed to explore the development of student responsibility through the exemplification and habituation practices of teachers at Pondok Pesantren API Asri Tegalrejo Magelang. Design/methods– Employing a qualitative phenomenological approach, the study involved seventh-grade male students who are also residents of the boarding school. Data were collected through observations, interviews with key informants, and document analysis. The analysis followed Miles and Huberman's framework, focusing on data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. Findings – The findings indicate that character formation is significantly influenced by consistent teacher-led initiatives, emphasizing communal practices, ethical discourse, and disciplined routines. These practices contribute to the holistic development of responsibility in students, reinforcing qualities such as ethical adherence, decision-making, initiative, adaptability, and cooperation. Research implications/limitations – The study highlights the importance of structured, habitual practices led by exemplary teachers in fostering student responsibility. Limitations include the unique boarding school environment and the need for adaptation in different educational contexts. Future research should explore the adaptability of these practices across diverse settings and their long-term impacts on student behavior. Practical implications – Educational institutions aiming to foster student responsibility should integrate structured, habitual practices led by exemplary teachers. This approach not only enhances character development but also emphasizes the importance of teacher training and development in ethical and responsible behavior. Originality/value – This study provides insights into the effective methods of character education in an Islamic boarding school context, demonstrating the critical role of teacher behavior and structured routines in developing student responsibility and ethical behavior

This study is a part of research report entitled “Developing Senior High Students’ Mathematic Power and Emotional Intelligence and Their Retention by MEAs Instruction”. This study is an experiment applying pretest-posttest group design which aims at analyzing the effect of MEAs instruction towards senior high students’ mathematics problem solving and connecting ability. Besides, this research is also expected to be able to improve their mathematics problem solving and connecting ability. The population is all eleventh graders of senior high schools in Cimahi, while the sample is purposively chosen from two senior high schools in Cimahi and randomly selected from existing grade XI. Then they are randomly selected to become experiment group and control group. Based on the result, it can be concluded that: (1) students’ problem solving ability with MEAs instruction is better than those with conventional instruction. Both classes’ ability is Fair. (2) Students’ connecting ability with MEAs instruction is better than those with conventional instruction. The ability of experiment class is Good; while control group is Fair. (3) There is a fairly strong level of association between students’ problem solving and connecting abilitie
