Drying of Colloidal Binder Infiltrated Ceramic Green Parts Produced by Selective Laser Sintering™
Colloidal ceramic binders have been used to strengthen ceramic
green shapes produced by Selective Laser Sintering. This paper
focuses on the effectiveness of the colloid infiltration with
respect to the physical properties of the colloidal binder. Mass
gains, strength gains, and dimensional changes resulting from
infiltration were monitored. Controlled drying experiments were
conducted to predict the factors influencing drying times for
complex shapes.Mechanical Engineerin
Intermittent/transient faults in digital systems
Containment set techniques are applied to 8085 microprocessor controllers so as to transform a typical control system into a slightly modified version, shown to be crashproof: after the departure of the intermittent/transient fault, return to one proper control algorithm is assured, assuming no permanent faults occur
Message from the President / 7.1.21
Dear IMSA Colleagues,
It’s a great honor to start my tenure as president of the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy. I am truly thrilled to return to my home state, joyful to be part of this exceptional STEM institution, and humbled to be surrounded by some of the most talented educators. Regardless of your role at IMSA, we are all educators to ignite and nurture creative, ethical, scientific minds that advance the human condition. I chose IMSA because of its distinguished reputation as a laboratory for imagination and inquiry, and also a place where equity and excellence are a priority. With 18 years of leadership experience, focusing on STEM schools and progressive models of education, I couldn’t imagine another place on earth that aligns better with my identity
