    THE POTENTIAL LOSS OF SASAK SPEECH LEVEL: A SURVEY OF LANGUAGE USE AMONG SASAK YOUTHS IN WEST LOMBOK

    This paper presents the findings of research investigating the extent to which Sasak youth in Lombok understand and master Sasak speech level. What has been afraid of by many as to the incompetence of the youth to using honorific vocabularies of Sasak and thereby the potential loss of this high variety of Sasak is proven. The average Sasak youth mastery of Sasak honorific vocabularies as well as their competence in using and constructing Sasak speech level are categorized as ‘poor’. Their average scores for the vocabulary mastery are 56,58 and 51,55 for their sentence constructions and using the language variety. Several factors are addressed to have affected the unfavorable use of Sasak speech level among the youths. First, there is the environment factor, which is not conducive enough to allow people to use to hearing and practicing the honorific Sasak lexicon. The youth could hardly hear people talking respectfully and elegantly in home environment, neighborhood, at school or even wherever possible. This is due to the assumption that Speech levels belong only to the bangsawan ‘aristocrat’ family members. Second, the numbers of the noblemen family members who use this variety are also decreasing. There are, certainly, noblemen family decendants who consistently practice the use of speech level to their family members,but the numbers are quite a few. Third, the widely use of Bahasa Indonesia in almost every domain of language use cannot be avoided to influence the young generation to communicate in it wherever possible. And fourth, it appears that the time allotment to theteaching of Sasak as local content in the school curriculum does not allow to cover the teaching of the speech level

    Piaget, Dienes, Davis, Greeno, Dubinsky, Sfard, Gray & Tall memberikan perhatian yang sangat besar terhadap transisi dalam berpikir matematis dari proses ke objek. Piaget banyak bekerja untuk matematika elementer, sedangkan Dubinsky dan Sfard banyak bekerja untuk matematika yang lebih advance. Sfard mengusulkan dua pendekatan untuk pemerolehan dan pengembangan konsep, yang satu operasional yang berfokus pada proses, dan lainnya struktural, yang berfokus pada objek. Istilah yang diperkenalkan oleh Sfard ini secara berturut-turut adalah sama dengan yang diperkenalkan Piaget, yaitu abstraksi empiris dan abstraksi pseudo-empiris. Dubinsky menyatakan bahwa tindakan (action) akan menjadi proses (process) ketika individu dapat menggambarkan atau merenungkan semua langkah dalam transformasi tanpa harus melakukan . Proses akan menjadi objek ketika individu menjadi sadar akan totalitas proses. Tall mengusulkan teori prosep, yang mempertimbangkan proses, konsep dan simbol.     Dunia pendidikan merupakan pendukung dari perkembangan zaman saat ini, dimana dengan adanya lembaga pendidikan, semua bidang dapat dipelajari. Ada dua jenis pendidikan yaitu formal dan informal, yang antara keduanya memiliki tujuan yang sama yaitu memberikan atau menyampaikan ilmu pengetahuan untuk bekal anak – anak bangsa. Proses pendidikan perguruan tinggi akan terjadi jika terdapat interaksi dari 2 komponen utamanya yaitu dosen dan mahasiswa. Antara dosen dan mahasiswa akan terjadi korelasi dan kolaborasi dalam mencapai visi dan misi perguruan tinggi tersebut. Manusia sebagai mahluk individu dan juga mahluk sosial senantiasa dihadapkan kepada berbagai persoalan dan masalah yang dijumpai hamper disetiap sisi kehidupannya. Semua bentuk persoalan dan masalah tersebut menuntut adanya pengambilan keputusan yang tepat dari sejumlah alternatif pemecahan agar semua yang direncanakan dapat tercapai secara optimal.     The advanced Research goal is to Obtain a picture of the use of models to enhance problem-based learning concept mastery of vocational students in class XI and the static fluid material to Obtain a picture of students\u27 responses to the model of problem based learning. The method used is a quasi-experimental design "pretest-posttest control group design" Implemented in class XI in one vocational school in Sambas district for school year 2011/2012. The data was collected using the initial test and final test for the control concept of students as well as a questionnaire to find out students\u27 responses to the model of problem based learning. Based on the analysis of the data obtained by the average N-gain students\u27 mastery of the concept of 0:33 to 0206 for the experimental class and control class. The results of hypothesis testing using two independent samples t test with SPSS 16 shows That Increasing mastery of the concept of learning by students WHO follow the model of problem based learning method is higher than the experimental inquiry of the which follows the learning of students with problem based learning with practical methods acre free.     This study analyze perceptions of beneficiaries to direct cash assistance program in Alo'o and Ogolugus village in Ampibabo District in Parigi Moutong Regency. In addition, goal of this research is to acknowledge the implementation of fund utilization in direct cash assistance programs that have been distributed to the target households in those village. This methodology apply tabulation of frequency distribution technique. This study found that there are fourthy nine respondents claim that the program has positive impact on them. It means that the program can help the poor income level families. Also, the study found that this program had been implemented based on the government's initiative. However, there are still many poor families have not have the positive impact of this program. In other words, there is an existing invalid data related to poor families so that other poor families could not obtain the benefit of the program

    Learning science in junior high school raises many problems found on direct instruction, students learn such activity is very low. Students lacking the spirit to learn science, pretend to understand the teacher\u27s explanations. Students in learning activities mediocre both classical learning and teamwork that ultimately student learning outcomes many incompletes. To overcome this, then do action research in order to improve the results of junior high school students learn science through learning model Think Pair Share for Class VIII.1 second-semester students of SMP Negeri 2 Metro in the academic year 2012/2013. This study time is 3 months. Based on the recapitulation of the data observation learning process and the work of the group, the student learning outcomes can be summarized as follows.     The aims of this study are: 1) to seek and analyze simultaneous influence of product, price, promotion, and place on consumers\u27 purchasing decisions; 2) to seek and analyze the influence of product on consumers\u27 purchasing decisions; 3) to seek and analyze the influence of price on consumers\u27 purchasing decisions; 4) to seek and analyze the influence of promotion on consumers\u27 purchasing decisions; 5) to seek and analyze the influence of place on consumers\u27 purchasing decisions. Sample of this study consists of 61 people who selected through purposive sampling technique. The hypotheses are tested with multiple linear regressions. The result show that: 1) product, price promotion, and place simultaneously have significant influence of consumers\u27 purchasing decisions; 2) product influences consumers\u27 purchasing decisions positively but insignificantly; 3) price positively and significantly influences consumers\u27 purchasing decisions; 4) promotion positively and significantly influences consumers\u27 purchasing decisions; 5) place negatively and significantly influences consumers\u27 purchasing decisions
