Let G be a connected reductive group over a field F. A twisted Levi subgroup G0 of G is a reductive subgroup such that G' [circle times]F F[over-bar] is a Levi subgroup of G' [circle times]F F[over-bar]. Twisted Levi subgroups have been an important tool in studying the structure theory of representations of p-adic groups. On quasi-reductive group schemes
The paper was motivated by a question of Vilonen, and the main results have been used by Mirkovic and Vilonen to give a geometric interpretation of the dual group (as a Chevalley group over Z) of a reductive group. We define a quasi-reducitve group over a discrete valuation ring R to be an affine flat group scheme over R such that (i) the fibers are of finite type and of the same dimension; (ii) the generic fiber is smooth and connected, and (iii) the netural component of the reduced special fiber is a reductive group.
We show that such a group scheme is of finite type over R, the generic fiber is a reductive group, the special fiber is connected, and the group scheme is smooth over R in most cases, for example when the residue characteristic is not 2, or when the generic fiber and reduced special fiber are of the same type as reductive groups. We also obtain results about group schemes over a Dedekind scheme or a noetherian scheme. We show that in residue characteristic 2 there are indeed non-smooth quasi-reductive groups and they can be classified when R is strictly henselian
Cavitation erosion of cast iron diesel engine liners
Photomicrographs from vibratory facility cavitation specimens and from an eroded liner of a field diesel engine are compared. The causes of erosion are similar. Corrosion tests show that the results are different from those from cavitation. Fysisk prestation och matchkrav inom elitfotboll - Samband mellan smÄlagsspel och de mest intensiva perioder inom fotboll
De fysiska kraven hos elitfotbollsspelare Ă€r stora och sĂ„vĂ€l aerob som anaerob förmĂ„ga Ă€r viktiga för prestationen. Individuella skillnader i fysisk kapacitet spelare emellan Ă€r vĂ€lkĂ€nt men individuell trĂ€ningsplanering med lĂ€mplig belastning för att optimera spelares enskilda behov Ă€r inte lika vĂ€l studerat. Syftet med denna studie Ă€r att undersöka sambandet mellan spelares matchkrav i fotboll i form av högintensiva perioder (peakperioder) och trĂ€ningsrespons pĂ„ smĂ„lagsspel. Vi har studerat individuella spelares högintensiva perioder i match, olika typer av smĂ„lagsspel (4v4, 6v6 och 8v8) och andra fysiska tester. Studien har en kvantitativ experimentell design dĂ€r GPS-data i fotboll Ă€r analyserad. 17 elitfotbollsspelare (Ă
lder 23.7 ± 4.8 Är, vikt 76.4 ± 4.8 kg, lÀngd 181.1 ± 5.2 cm) frÄn allsvenskan och superettan i svensk herrfotboll deltog i studien. Resultaten visar att olika typer av smÄlagsspel belastar spelarna pÄ olika sÀtt, dÀr vissa fysiska variabler har ett medel (>0.30) till stark korrelation (>0.70), medan andra variabler visar en svag (>0.10) till ingen korrelation (<0.10). Sambandet mellan fysiska tester och matchkrav i form av peakperioder visar att endast Repeated Sprint Ability (RSA) kan ha en relevant anvÀndning för att förutse prestation i peakperioder. Information om vilken typ av smÄlagsspel som har vilken effekt och hur de belastar spelaren samt matchkrav pÄ individ- och gruppnivÄ kan underlÀtta för trÀnaren vid utformning av trÀningsplanering. Slutligen krÀvs mer forskning inom omrÄdet för att sÀkerhetsstÀlla att tillÀmpningen av smÄlagsspel samt de fysiska testerna, gentemot matchkraven i form av peakperioder, blir sÄ matchlik och optimal som möjligt
