Numerical Analysis on Chaotic Vibration of Drive System for a Movable Tooth Piezoelectric Motor

    Get PDF
The nonlinear dynamic equations of the drive system for movable tooth piezoelectric motor are established. Using these equations, the chaotic vibrations of the system are investigated. The results show that chaotic vibrations occur in the movable tooth drive system under some parameters. The average mesh stiffness, theoretical radius, and wave generator offset significantly influence the nonlinear chaotic vibrations of the drive system of the movable tooth piezoelectric motor. The ranges for the system parameters that lead to a motor with bad dynamics are shown. The results can be used to predict the dynamic load and optimize power density of the proposed piezoelectric motor

    Xenovarta lii sp. nov.
Figs. 1–10

Vertex 2.3 times as long as interocular width, 1.5 times as long as pronotum. Pronotum 2.2 times as wide as long, anterior margin strongly and roundly produced, posterior margin slightly concave. Scutellum approximately as long as pronotum. Color and external features as in generic description (See Viraktamath, 2004).

Male genitalia. Pygofer slightly longer than high, narrowed caudally, ventroposterior margin with strongly inflexed subuliform process (Fig. 5). Fused valve and subgenital plates with distal part wide, parallel sided, each plate weakly bilobed apically with 4 macrosetae on lateral lobe (Fig. 6). Aedeagus with well-developed dorsal apodeme, shaft asymmetrical, curved dorsad, apex hook-shaped with large retrorse spine subapically at left side in ventral view, gonopore subapical on ventral side and located at 1/5 length of aedeagal shaft in lateral view (Figs. 7, 8). Connective stem slightly shorter than arms (Fig. 9).
