    ObjectiveTo explore the current status and interaction of perceived stress, job burnout and mental health among healthcare workers after the opening of COVID-19 which occurred in December 2022.MethodsA cross-sectional study of 792 healthcare workers from three tertiary hospitals in Wuxi was conducted from January 2023 to February 2023. Sociodemographic questionnaire, Perceived Stress Scale, Burnout Scale and Mental Health Self-Assessment Questionnaire were used for investigation. SPSS 26.0 was used to conduct data analysis. The significance of mediation was determined by the PROCESS macro using a bootstrap method.ResultsThe results showed that (1) The average scores of the participants for perceived stress, mental health and job burnout were 22.65 (7.67), 3.85 (4.21) and 1.88 (1.03), respectively. (2) The perceived stress score, mental health score and job burnout score of healthcare workers were positively correlated (r = 0.543–0.699, p ConclusionThe results of this study suggested that perceived stress had an impact on job burnout and mental health, either directly or indirectly. Healthcare managers should intervene to reduce perceived stress to protect healthcare workers’ mental health, thereby alleviating burnout under the opening COVID-19 pandemic environment.</p

    Design of perylene-diimides-based small-molecules semiconductors for organic solar cells

    <p>A series of perylene-diimide-based small molecules have been designed to explore their optical, electronic and charge transport properties as organic solar cell materials. The frontier molecular orbitals analysis has turned out that the vertical electronic transitions of absorption are characterised as intramolecular charge transfer between perylene diimide moieties and substituent aromatic groups. Our results suggest that the optical and electronic properties and reorganisation energies are affected by the introduction of different aromatic groups to these molecules. The calculation results showed that the designed molecules own the large longest wavelength of absorption spectrum, the oscillator strength and absorption region values. On the basis of the investigated results, the designed molecules could be used as solar cell material with intense broad absorption spectra. Furthermore, they are expected to be the promising candidates for hole and/or electron transport materials.</p

    <p>(A) Experimental strategy for studying the influence of the t(9;22) fusion proteins on the biology of murine HSCs. Sca1<sup>+</sup>/lin<sup>−</sup> BM cells were infected with the indicated retroviruses and plated in semi-solid medium supplemented with the indicated growth factors for determination of the serial replating potential. Cells from the first plating (I) round were examined for the expression of differentiation-specific surface markers. Cells plated in liquid culture supplemented with the indicated growth factors were used for cell cycle analysis and gene expression by qRT-PCR. (B) Sca1<sup>+</sup>/lin<sup>−</sup> BM cells were infected with the indicated retroviruses and expression levels of the transgenes were analyzed by Western blotting using the indicated antibodies. (C) Long-term serial replating. Sca1<sup>+</sup>/lin<sup>−</sup> cells were infected with the indicated retroviruses and plated into methyl-cellulose supplemented with the indicated growth factors to assess primary colony formation. Colony numbers were counted on days 8–10. Cells were then harvested and serially replated. Colonies were counted on days 8–10 after each replating. (D) Colony morphology during the first plating. Type A (compact colonies), type B (dense center surrounded by a halo of migrating cells) and type C (diffuse colonies with mobile differentiating cells) colonies were distinguished.     <p>(A) Experimental strategy to model leukemia induced by the reciprocal t(9;22) fusion proteins. Sca1<sup>+</sup>/lin<sup>−</sup> BM cells were infected with the indicated retroviruses and inoculated into sub-lethally irradiated mice. As positive and negative controls, we used γ-catenin and empty vector-transduced cells, respectively.
