Pengaruh Penggantian Sebagian Pakan Komersial Ayam Broiler dengan Bahan Pakan Lain terhadap Pertumbuhan Ayam Kampung dan Pendapatan Peternak
The Effect of Partial Replacement of Broiler Commercial Feed with Other Feed Ingridients to Native Chicken Growth and Farmers' Income. The assessment aims to determine the effect of substitution of commercial broiler feed with other feed ingredients for local chicken growth. Five hundred free-range chickens aged four weeks were divided into four treatments of feed, each treatment was repeated five times. Treatment R60 was substitution feed up to 60% and commercial broiler feed of 40%; treatment R50 was to substitution feed up to 50% and commercial broiler feed of 50%; treatment R40 was to substitution feed up to 40 % and commercial broiler feed of 60%; (R0) commercial broiler feed 100%. Observations were carried out for five weeks on feed intake and body weight gain. The results showed that the substitution of 40% commercial broiler feed with corn and local chicken feed did not affect body weight gain and feed conversion ratio significantly (P <0.05), however with 50% and 60% substitution, decreased the body weight gain and feed conversion significantly. Substitution of 40% commercial broiler feed with corn and local chicken gave the highest income compared to the other feed formula
Identifikasi, Produksi, Dan Potensi Kerandang Sebagai Sumber Pangan Dan Pakan Alternatif
Identification, Production, dan Potential Kerandang as Alternative Sources of Food and Animal Feed. Kerandang is legume wich grows wildly in the coastal area. Kerandang utilization is expected to increase the economic value useful for local sources of revenue. The aim of this research was to identify and to determine the productivity and nutrient contain in kerandang. This reasearch done through two steps. Firs step was identification of plant species and determination of productivity and its secondary products. The second step was proximate analyzed to leaf, seed, skin seed and pod. The result showed that kerandang plant was family of Fabaceae, Genus of Canavalia, species of Canavalia virosa. Production and nutrient content of seeds and its secondary products varied so that the species has the potential to be developed as a source of protein food and feed, while the leaves, skin seed and pod are potential as are source of ruminant feed
Pengaruh Pemberian Ransum Berbagai Kualitas pada Produksi Air Susu Peranakan Sapi Perah Friesian Holstein di Kabupaten Sleman YOGYAKARTA
Effect of Feeding Ratio with Various Quality on Milk Production of Friesian Holstein Crossbred Cattle in Sleman District of Yogyakarta. The research was conducted from July to October 2013 at the District Integrated Services Unit – Development Unit for Seeds and Feed of Livestocks and Animals Diagnostic under the Sleman Agricultural Agency of Yogyakarta Province. Total of 16 cows on the 2nd or 3rd lactating periods were divided into 3 groups of dietary treatments including a group as the control treatment. Dietary treatments were various feed supplements in the protein contains of (A) 15%, (B) 13% and (C) 12% with energies of (A) 255 cal/100gr, (B) 261 cal /100gr and (C) 274 cal/100gr respectively. The control treatment was local feed product with 12% of crude protein. The mixture of young corn forage and king grass was provided ad libitum as well as water. The result showed that the milk production of treatments group had no differences (p>0.05) from the control group's. However the average production of milk of group C was higher than group A and B, while the lowest production was from the control group. The milk production of cows of treated groups increased up to 18%. The financial efficiency of feed were IDR3.000 (group A), IDR4.000 (group B) and IDR5.000 (group C). As a result, even the feed treatments have not increase the milk production yet, on the other hand the feed supplements could considerably maintain body condition score (BCS)
