    VALIDITY AND RELIABILITY OF ISLAMIC AND INDONESIAN-BASED CONTEXTUAL SCIENCE LITERACY ASSESSMENT INSTRUMENTS

    This study aims to determine the validity of the Islamic and Indonesian-based contextual scientific literacy assessment instrument (ALSKII) using the Rasch model. This instrument was developed in the context of Covid-19 as a socio-scientific issue that is presented in a structured manner with a plural model, namely scientific and socio-scientific. The scientific model represents the content of science which is presented in three models, namely mechanistic, systematic, and mathematical. The socio-scientific model is a scientific context that is integrated with religion and nation. This instrument has five skills which are made into 25 question items. The sample of this research is 75 final-semester science education students who were selected purposively. The results showed that the Islamic and Indonesian-based contextual scientific literacy assessment instrument was valid and reliable with a person measure the value of 0.73, MNSQ person and item close to 0.0, person and ZSTD item close to 1.0, Cronbach alpha 0.67, person reliability 0.64 and item reliability 0.95. This instrument can be an alternative in the assessment of scientific literacy based on religion and the state. The instrument can also be further developed according to the context and socio-scientific issues that need to be solved in the community

    COMPARATIVE STUDY OF RICE (OryzasativaL.) CULTIVATION IN POLYBAG TO CULTIVATION IN LOWLAND

    Purpose of the study: Rice (Oryza sativa L.) is the leading food consumed by Indonesian people even in Asia. The various innovations in rice cultivation still being developed to increase the yield both in quantity and quality. In general, rice cultivation is planted in the lowland. This research aims to compare the productivity of rice cultivation in a polybag to rice cultivation in the lowland. Methodology: The size of the polybag that used in the experiment is 40x40 cm with space 50 cm of each other. The experiment was conducted in Nganjuk, East Java, Indonesia. The variables studied are rice yield and rice varieties. The varieties used are Ciherang and Sertani 12. Main Findings: The result showed that rice production yield includes the number of filled grains, total grain, and panicle number in polybag more than in lowland. Rice cultivation produces 2 kg/m2 in a polybag and 1 kg/m2 in the lowland. The panicle number of rice in polybag is more than in lowland, i.e., 12 in a polybag and 6 in the lowland. For the rice variety, Ciherang and Sertani 12 have the same yield in a polybag. It is 2 kg/m2. Applications of this study: The rice cultivation in polybags has an easy cultivation system and suitable for urban areas where agricultural land is limited. Besides, it can be the solution for decreasing agricultural land from time to time.     PENGEMBANGAN PERANGKAT PEMBELAJARAN IPA BERBASIS LITERASI SAINS DI SD NEGERI KEDUNGKELOR 02

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran IPA berbasis literasi sains yang liputi pengujian kevalidan dan kepraktisan perangkat. Objek penelitian di Sekolah Dasar Negeri Kedungkelor 02, Desa Kedungkelor, Kabupaten Tegal. Tahapan penelitian meliputi analisis kebutuhan, desain perangkat dan pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran. Perangkat pembelajaran dinyatakan valid dari hasil review pakar dan analisis butir soal. Sedangkan perangkat pembelajaran dinyatakan praktis karena mendapatkan respon positif sebesar 89,17 % dari peserta didik dan 100% dari guru berdasarkan angket kepraktisan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, disimpulkan perangkat pembelajaran IPA berbasis literasi sains sangat valid dan sangat praktis digunakan pada SD Negeri Kedungkelor 0
