Disc wind in the HH 30 binary models
Recent interferometric observations of the young stellar object(YSO) HH 30
have revealed a low velocity outflow in the CO J=1-2 molecule line (Pety
et al. 2006). We present here two models of the low velocity disc winds with
the aim of investigating an origin of this molecular outflow. Following Andlada
et al. (2006) we treated HH 30 as a binary system. Two cases have been
considered: i) the orbital period = 53 yrs and ii) 1 yr.
Calculations showed that in the first case the outflow cone had a spiral-like
structure due to summing the velocities of the orbital motion and the disc
wind. Such a structure contradicts the observations. In the second case, the
outflow cone demonstrates a symmetry relatively to the system axis and agrees

Based on the frequency of occurrence of simple prepositions in the text it was proved that Bahtin's texts were not written by Voloshinov or Medvedev. Probing the accretion-ejection connection with VLTI/AMBER: High spectral resolution observations of the Herbig Ae star HD163296
Accretion and ejection are tightly connected and represent the fundamental
mechanisms regulating star formation. However, the exact physical processes
involved are not yet fully understood. We present high angular and spectral
resolution observations of the Br Gamma emitting region in the Herbig Ae star
HD163296 (MWC275) in order to probe the origin of this line and constrain the
physical processes taking place at sub-AU scales in the circumstellar region.
By means of VLTI-AMBER observations at high spectral resolution (R~12000), we
studied interferometric visibilities, wavelength-differential phases, and
closure phases across the Br Gamma line of HD163296. To constrain the physical
origin of the Br Gamma line in Herbig Ae stars, all the interferometric
observables were compared with the predictions of a line radiative transfer
disc wind model. The measured visibilities clearly increase within the Br Gamma
line, indicating that the Br Gamma emitting region is more compact than the
continuum. By fitting a geometric Gaussian model to the continuum-corrected Br
Gamma visibilities, we derived a compact radius of the Br Gamma emitting region
of ~0.07+/-0.02AU (Gaussian half width at half maximum; or a ring-fit radius of
~0.08+/-0.02AU). To interpret the observations, we developed a
magneto-centrifugally driven disc wind model. Our best disc wind model is able
to reproduce, within the errors, all the interferometric observables and it
predicts a launching region with an outer radius of ~0.04AU. However, the
intensity distribution of the entire disc wind emitting region extends up to
~0.16AU. Our observations, along with a detailed modelling of the Br Gamma
emitting region, suggest that most of the Br Gamma emission in HD163296
originates from a disc wind with a launching region that is over five times
more compact than previous estimates of the continuum dust rim radius.Comment: Accepted for publication in A&
Способы словообразования в американском молодежном сленге
This article analyzes the methods of word formation in slangs used by the American youth. The relevance of the study is justified by a large interest to examine the ways of word formation in non-standard vocabulary and the sociolinguistic factors influencing this process. The aim of the study is to determine the most common methods of word formation among the American youth in their use of slang, i.e. to identify the sources of slangisms, characterize and support them by proper examples, analyze them and generate an appropriate classification. The slang expressions are taken from movie scripts of modern American cinema for the young. A sample of about 1000 units served as data for this study. The authors use standard methods of data collection, observation of the subjects - native speakers of American English-, data classification and comparative analysis of the collected material. This article would be useful for researchers working in the field of colloquial vocabulary and social dialects, word-formation processes in language, for socio-linguists and teachers of English. The result of this research has been fruitful: based on slangisms collected from the scripts of modern American movies, the authors were able to classify methods of formation of American youth slang, describe them on the basis of empirical data and provide relevant examples.Статья посвящена анализу способов словообразования, представленных в американском молодежном сленге. Актуальность исследования обусловлена большим интересом к способам словообразования нестандартной лексики и влиянию социолингвистических факторов на данный процесс. Цель исследования - установить наиболее продуктивные способы словообразования американского молодежного сленга, определить источники возникновения сленгизмов, охарактеризовать и классифицировать их. Материалом исследования послужили сленговые единицы, выделенные из сценариев молодежных фильмов современного американского кинематографа (в количестве около 1000 единиц). В работе были использованы морфемный метод, метод компонентного анализа, метод наблюдения за субъектами - носителями американского варианта английского языка, метод сравнительного анализа полученного материала. Данная статья может быть полезна исследователям разговорной лексики и социальных диалектов, словообразовательных процессов в языке, социолингвистам, а также преподавателям английского языка
The Functional Activity of Neutrophils in Athletes
Introduction- Polymorphonuclear neutrophils (PMNs) take direct part in reaction of whole body on exercise. The aim of present study was to investigate the functional activity of PMNs in athletes.
Methods - Quantity of PMNs, their phagocytic and oxidative activity and capacity to produce interleukin-6 (IL-6) and IL-8 in vitro in the presence or absence of stimuli (LPS and zymosan A) was studied in 3 groups of athletes parted on the basis of the clinical and anamnestic data: group 1 (n=27) - athletes without the clinical diagnosis (healthy); group 2 (n=11) with persistent infections in the anamnesis (a herpes simplex and influenza virus, a genyantritis, a tonsillitis, etc.); group 3 (n=8) with sings of any allergic responses in the anamnesis. The healthy untrained volunteers served as the controls (n=109).
Results– Athletes with allergy had a lower relative quantity of PMNs than in controls (р=0.019) and decreased absolute quantity of PMNs in comparison with healthy athletes (р=0.045). PMNs in athletes had decreased phagocytic activity. However phagocytic capacity of PMNs in athletes from groups 2 and 3 was suppressed significantly (1.6- and 2.1-fold, respectively, р=0.001, р=0.0001) in comparison with controls. Athletes with allergy had also a significantly lower phagocytic activity of PMNs than healthy athletes. PMNs in athletes had raised spontaneous respiratory burst (quantity of formazan-positive cells in NBT-test, FPC) than in controls (4-, 10- and 2.5-fold for groups 1-3, respectively, р=0.0001, р=0.0001, р=0.014). Healthy athletes had elevated quantity of FPC after stimulation of PMNs by zymosan (р=0.05). At the same time stimulated oxidative activity of PMNs in athletes from groups 2 and 3 was suppressed. Conclusion - Our data show that regular exercise influence on key effector function of PMNs and its capacity to produce the cytokines. We also observed more significant changes in the functional activity of PMNs in athletes with persistent infections and allergy in the anamnesis. Possibly these changes are linked with a higher incidence of infection and allergic responses in some athletes

First NIR interferometrically resolved high order Brackett and forbidden Fe lines of a B[e] star: V921 Sco

The final version is available from Oxford University Press (OUP) via the DOI in this record.We present near-infrared interferometric AMBER observations of the B[e] binary V921 Sco at low (R∼30) and medium spectral resolution (R∼1500) in the K- and H-bands. Low spectral resolution AMBER data were used to estimate the position of the companion V921 Sco B and confirmed a clockwise movement on sky with respect to the primary of 33○ between 2008 and 2012. Our observations resolve for the first time higher order Brackett lines (Br6–Br12). The modelling of the different line transitions revealed a decrease in the size of the line-emitting regions from Br3–Br12. We are able to reproduce this decrease with a simple radiative transfer model of an equatorial disk in local thermodynamic equilibrium. In addition to the Brackett series, we also resolve permitted and forbidden Fe line emission. Our modelling shows that these lines originate from ∼2au from the star, corresponding roughly to the measured dust sublimation region.
