Peningkatan Kemampuan Kompetensi Matematika Pendidikan Dasar melalui Pendekatan Investigasi Berbantuan Manipulatif
Mathematical competence abilities of elementary education students play an important role in the success of learning mathematics in elementary schools. The purpose of this study was to describe an increase in students' understanding of mathematical concepts through a manipulative assisted investigative approach. The research subjects were students of the first semester elementary teachers education postgrade students who took Elementary education mathematics courses in the 2019/2020 academic year. This research is a classroom action research using data collection methods in the form of observation and tests results. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using data reduction and data triangulation. The results showed that the application of investigative learning increased the ability to understand deep mathematical concepts. The manipulative assisted mathematical investigative approach increases students in carrying out exploration, making assumptions, and making conclusions
Professional learning for teaching mathematics through problem solving in Indonesian Primary Schools
This study focused on teacher professional learning about problem solving in the context of selected Indonesian primary schools. Professional learning was conducted via a Lesson Study Cycle. Teachers’ learning was judged in terms of their mathematical content knowledge, and pedagogical content knowledge in relation to teaching using a problem solving approach. Other aims of the project were to identify any changes in beliefs about teaching held by the participant teachers, and to identify and describe elements of Lesson Study that were effective in developing and supporting teacher learning in this Indonesian context.This project used case study as an analytical method to provide an in-depth perspective based on extensive data collection. The participants in this study were twelve upper grade primary school teachers who came from an inner city area and a suburban area in Bengkulu, Indonesia. Five of the twelve teacher participants acted as volunteer teachers and these were reported and described in-depth as case studies. Data collection in this study involved classroom observations, interviews with teachers, Lesson Study Group Meetings, video recording of classrooms, field notes, and an analysis of documents. Data analysis used grounded theory with inductive analysis to identify emerging themes from the accumulated data that were developed from interview transcripts, field notes, report records, observation, and reflection. Triangulation in data gathering was achieved through the use of multiple data sources.The findings from this study showed that Lesson Study brought changes in teachers’ pedagogical content knowledge and mathematical content knowledge, and also teachers’ beliefs about teaching. Reflection during Lesson Study for five volunteer teachers indicated that four teachers were not confident, and only one teacher was confident in teaching with observers in the classroom. Results suggested that the use of manipulatives and open problems were new teaching ideas for both teachers and the students. The teachers had not had much experience in using manipulative problems. They changed to become aware of the fact that manipulative problems could be used to help students with understanding concepts. Also, more open problems were used as a new approach by all teachers. There was a small change from traditional teaching to the use of less teacher directed work in classrooms.The teachers showed less change in mathematical content knowledge than in pedagogical content knowledge. Nevertheless, they were building mathematical content knowledge by connecting resources with learning. Lesson Study improved the teachers’ knowledge of teaching mathematics using a problem solving approach in that they changed from a traditional approach to one where problems were developed. The study has implications for teacher professional learning as it shows that teachers can develop pedagogical content knowledge and mathematical content knowledge through the use of a Lesson Study process that develops learning communities. This in turn aids their planning of programs based on improved problem solving for their students
Pelatihan Pemantapan Materi Geometri Untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Analisis Guru Sekolah Dasar
Kegiatanpengabdianinibertujuanuntukmemberikanpenguatankepadaguru-guru sekolah dasar di Kecamatan Seberang Musi Kabupaten Kepahiang pada materi geometri sehingga dapat meningkatkan kemampuan analisis.Metode pelaksanaan berupa:(1) pemberian pretest kepada peserta; (2) penyampaian materi geometri; (3) kegiatan diskusi dan presentasi; dan (4) pemberian postest. Dari hasil pelaksanaan diperoleh bahwa peserta antusias mengikuti seluruh rangkaian kegiatan. Rata-rata hasil pretest sebesar 34 dan posttest sebesar 54,08. Pelatihan Penggunaan Geo Gebra Untuk Peningkatan Kompetensi Guru Dalam Pembelajaran Matematika Sekolah Dasar
Primary school teachers had difficulty teaching some math topics and had difficulty using the media as taught. The purpose of this community service activity was to improve the skills of teachers in using geo-gebra in constructing geometric shapes, mathematical objects to facilitate learning primary school mathematics. The target of community service is elementary school teachers in Kaur district. The method used in this activity was through the workshop socialization, workshop implementation, and workshop assistance. The workshop was followed 20 primary teachers who introduced to the geogebra software and how to use it according to primary school mathematics. At the beginning and at the end of the activity, a questionnaire was given to see the readiness and effectiveness of the workshop activities. The results showed that there was an increase in the skills of teachers in using geogebra in visualizing geometric shapes for elementary school mathematics objects. Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Project Based Learning (Pjbl) terhadap Kemampuan Berpikir Kreatif dalam Pembelajaran Tematik Muatan Pelajaran IPA Peserta Didik Kelas V SD Negeri
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran PjBL terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif dalam pembelajaran Tematik muatan pelajaran IPA peserta didik kelas V SD Negeri. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif. Metode yang digunakan ialah quasy experiment. Desain pada penelitian ini yaitu The Matching Only Pretest-Posttes Control Group Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas V di SD Negeri Gugus I Kecamatan Arga Makmur Kabupaten Bengkulu Utara terakreditasi A. Sampel dalam penelitian ialah siswa kelas VC SDN 009 Bengkulu Utara berjumlah 21 orang sebagai kelas eksperimen, dan SDN 016 Bengkulu Utara berjumlah 21 orang sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes tertulis terdiri atas dimensi kemampuan berpikir lancar (fluency), kemampuan berpikir luwes (flexibility), kemampuan berpikir orisinil (originality), kemampuan berpikir merinci (elaboration), dan kemampuan berpikir menilai (evaluation). Untuk mendeskripsikan proyek pop up book menggunakan lembar observasi tahapan proses dan tahapan hasil proyek. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan model pembelajaran PjBL terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif dalam pembelajaran tematik muatan pelajaran IPA peserta didik kelas V SD Negeri. Penelitian ini juga menghasilkan proyek pop up book dua dimensi dengan baik sehingga berpengaruh terhadap dimensi kemampuan berpikir lancar (fluency), kemampuan berpikir luwes (flexibility), kemampuan berpikir orisinil (originality kemampuan berpikir merinci (elaboration), kemampuan berpikir menilai (evaluation)
Pengembangan Instrumen Penilaian Berbasis Higher Order Thinking (Hot) Pelajaran Matematika Kelas IV Sekolah Dasar
Penelitian ini bertujuan mendiskripsikan bagaimana pengembangan instrumen penilaian berbasis HOT, serta untuk menghasilkan instrumen penilaian berbasis HOT pelajaran Matematika kelas IV sekolah dasar yang valid dan reliabel. Penelitian dan pengembangan ini diadaptasi dari model Borg dan Gall. Prosedur penelitian mencakup: penelitian dan pengumpulan informasi; perencanaan; pengembangan produk awal; uji coba terbatas; revisi produk awal; dan uji coba lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa instrumen penilaian berbasis HOT yang dikembangkan berupa 15 soal pilihan ganda dan 5 soal uraian pada aspek materi, konstruksi dan bahasa dinyatakan valid secara teoritis berdasarkan judgment ahli dan secara empiris instrumen valid dan reliabel berdasarkan hasil analisis ujicoba lapangan. Pada soal pilihan ganda rata-rata validitas butir soal 0,46 “cukup baik”, koefisien reliabilitas sebesar 0,73 “baik”, sedangkan soal uraian rata-rata validitas butir soal 0,76 “baik”, koefisien reliabilitas sebesar 0,81 “baik”. Secara umum instrumen penilaian yang dikembangkan telah memenuhi kriteria tes yang baik, yaitu valid dan reliabel
Implementasi Literasi dalam Pembelajaran Membaca Berbasis Cerita Rakyat Bengkulu pada Siswa Kelas Iv SD IT Al-Qiswah Bengkulu
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi literasi pada pembelajaran membaca berbasis cerita rakyat Bengkulu pada tahap pembiasaan, pengembangan dan pembelajaran membaca di kelas IV SD IT AL-Qiswah Bengkulu. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis metode deskriptif yang dilakukan di SD IT AL-Qiswah Bengkulu. Pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Analisis data digunakan untuk menganalisa implikasi gerakan literasi membaca melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) implementasi literasi membaca berbasis cerita rakyat Bengkulu pada tahap pembiasaan yakni menumbuhkan minat baca melalui 15 menit membaca buku non pelajaran cerita rakyat Bengkulu (2) implementasi literasi membaca berbasis cerita rakyat Bengkulu pada tahap pengembangan guru memberikan simulasi tentang isi dan memberikan pemahaman mengenai isi bacaan cerita rakyat Bengkulu (3) implementasi literasi membaca berbasis cerita rakyat Bengkulu pada tahap pembelajaran yakni terbiasanya penggunaan lingkungan akademik, fisik, sosial dan afektif untuk literasi membaca cerita rakyat Bengkulu
Penerapan Strategi Pembelajaran Quick On The Draw untuk Meningkatkan Minat dan Hasil Belajar Matematika Siswa Kelas II D SDN 69 Kota Bengkulu
This study aimed to improve a) the activities of teachers and students, b) interest in learning mathematics students, c) the results of mathematics learning students of class II D SDN 69 Kota Bengkulu. The research method was classroom action research. This research was conducted in class II D SDN 69, Bengkulu City consisting of 25 students. The results of this study were an increase in teacher activity in the first cycle obtained an average score of 22.5, increased in the second cycle with an average score of 24.5, and increased in the third cycle to 28.5. Increased activity of students in the first cycle obtained an average score of 25.5, and increased in the second cycle to an average score of 27, and then increased again in the third cycle to 31.5. In students' interest in learning mathematics in the first cycle the percentage was 77.6%, increasing in the second cycle by 86%, increasing again in the third cycle to 89.2%. The improvement of cognitive cognitive learning outcomes of students in the first cycle was average value (66.4) with classical learning completeness (44%), increased in the second cycle the average score (69.4) and classical learning completeness (64%), increased in cycle III (80.6) and classical learning completeness (88%). Then it could be concluded that the application of quick on the draw learning strategies could increase the interest and results of learning mathematics of students in class II D SDN 69 Kota Bengkulu
Peningkatan Kepercayaan Diri Mahasiswa dalam Pembelajaranstatistika Dasar melalui Problem Based-learning
Penelitian dilaksanakan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran mahasiswa pada mata kuliah statistika dasar. Salah satu fokus penelitian adalah peningkatan kepercayaan diri mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran statistika dasar melalui penerapan model problem based learning. Penelitian yang telah dilaksanakan merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas. Pelaksanaan dalam dua siklus yang terdiri dari empat tahapan, yaitu: (1) perencanaan, (2) pelaksanaan, (3) observasi, dan (4) refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa Pendidikan Matematika FKIP UNIB semester 1 dengan jumlah 30 mahasiswa. Instrumen penelitian adalah angket kepercayaan diri mahasiswa. Analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat peningkatan kepercayaan diri mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran statistika dasar melalui penerapan problem based learning. Hasil data awal menunjukkan kepercayaan diri mahasiswa rata-rata pada kategori cukup dan persentase mahasiswa yang memperoleh kategori tinggi hanya mencapai 23,33%. Pada siklus I meningkat menjadi 43,33% dan siklus II menjadi 73,33% dengan rata-rata kategori tinggi. PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE GROUP INVESTIGATION PADA MATERI BANGUN RUANG SISI DATAR UNTUK MENINGKTAKAN HASIL BELAJAR PESERTA DIDIK SMP NEGERI 7 KOTA BENGKULU
ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar matematika peserta didik dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Group Investigation pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar di SMP Negeri 7 Kota Bengkulu. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi aktivitas peserta didik dan tes hasil belajar peserta didik dengan analisi deskriptif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas VIII E tahun ajaran 2019/2020 yang berjumlah 31 orang. Peningkatan aktivitas peserta didik siklus I sampai siklus II secara berturut-turut: 29,5 (kriteria cukup);35 (kriteria cukup). Peningkatan hasil belajar dapat dilakukan dengan cara : memberikan soal latihan, meminta peserta didik bertanya tentang kesulitan yang mereka hadapi, dan memberikan perhatian khusus. Peningkatan tersebut dilihat dari nilai rata-rata latihan dan tes hasil belajar peserta didik siklus I sampai siklus II yaitu 60,06;dan 67,09 persentase ketuntasan belajar klasikal dari siklus I sampai siklus II yaitu 41,93%; dan 70,09%. Peningkatan aktivitas belajar dan hasil belajar dapat dilakukan dengan cara : membuat lembar kerja peserta didik yang bersesuaian dengan langkah- langkah model pembelajaran Group Investigation, menggunakan alat-alat ataupun media-media bantu dalam pembelajaran, membentuk kelompok heterogen, melibatkan peserta didik secara aktif, dan memberi hukuman.
