    This research was aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of teacher's functional rank advancement by using Credit Number System. The policy of using credit number system in teacher's functional rank advancement is based on a decree ofMen-Pan in 1989 connected with decree No. 84 in 1993. The research was performed by means ofqualitative method. The source of data consists of the teachers, Principals, Evaluating Team, and documentation. Data~gathering was triangulation, and data analysis was done by means of inductive methods through the process of data reduction, data display, and verification. Credibility of the data was examined through extended observation, improving persistence, triangulation, peer-check, and member check. The result showed that, first, the system of teacher's rank advancement by using credit number was perceived both positively and negatively. For potential teachers, this system better than pervious automatic rank advancement, but those who were indolent and not quite smart will give negative response, because teacher's wO,rk load will be heavier. Second, this credit grade system has actually not yet effective,as it cannot improve the teacher's motivation, achievementand professionalism; almost all proposals of rank advancement up to level IVla will be granted (without any obstacle) so that it seems like the automatic rank advancement; there was no--" correlation between the rank and teacher's professionalism; and after 13 years of application there was no teacher who can achieve the rank ofIV/c or over. Third, the main obstacle faced by the teachers in collecting the credit number for rank IVIb and above was in term of profession improvement (making paper, writing journal, doing research, etc). Fourth, although this system of teacher's rank advancement was not yet effective, the better system has not been found dealing with the era of regional autonomy. The system of teacher's rank advancement by using credit number was still considered the best compared to other systems. In that case, the effectiveness of this system should be improved by developing the ·promotion system of functional rank as that ofthe university lectures, where the amount of functional allowance is suited to the rank level. Besides, there should be enough fund to perform seminars, do researches and write scientific paper; the procedure ofproposing rank advancement be made sample; and the evaluating team should master their work field and professional

    Pengaruh Penambahan Tepung Gaplek dan Isolat Bakteri Asam Laktat dari Cairan Rumen Sapi PO terhadap Kualitas Silase Rumput Gajah (Pennisetum Purpureum)

    Penelitian tentang pengaruh penambahan tepung gaplek dan isolat bakteri laktat (LAB) diinkubasi dari cairan rumen sapi terhadap silase rumput gajah (Pennisetum purpureum) telah dilaksanakan di Desa Ujung Ujung Pabelan, Kabupaten Semarang. Analisis nilai gizi dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Biokimia Pangan Gizi, Fakultas Ilmu Makanan Ternak, Universitas Gadjah Mada. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap terdiri dari 4 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Perlakuannya adalah T0 = kontrol silase, T1 = silase rumput gajah dengan penambahan tepung gaplek 1% dan inokulum bakteri asam laktat dari cairan rumen sapi PO 106 cfu/g hijauan, T2 = silase rumput gajah dengan penambahan tepung gaplek 3%, dan inokulum bakteri asam laktat dari cairan rumen sapi PO 106 cfu/g hijauan, T3 = silase rumput gajah dengan penambahan tepung gaplek 5% dan inokulum bakteri asam laktat dari cairan rumen sapi PO 106 cfu/g hijauan. Parameter yang diamati adalah asam laktat, pH, bahan kering, protein kasar, dan serat kasar. Untuk mengetahui pengaruh perlakuan, analisis data dilanjutkan dengan Uji Duncan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penambahan tepung gaplek memberikan pengaruh yang nyata terhadap asam laktat, pH, NH3, protein kasar dan serat kasar. Sedang pada bahan kering pengaruhnya tidak nyata. Perlakuan terbaik adalah adalah silase rumput gajah dengan 5% tepung gaplek

    Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pengaruh Kepemimpinan Transformasional, IklimPsikologis, dan Prinsip Birokrasi terhadap Kesiapan untuk Berubah Pegawai Negeri Sipil diLingkungan Kementerian Kelautan dan Perikanan Republik Indonesia. Objek penelitian dibatasipada pegawai di lingkungan Sekretariat Jenderal karena mereka adalah prime actors dalammenghadapi Perubahan. Sampel diambil sebanyak 221 dari populasi berjumlah 550 orang. Hasilpenelitian menujukkan Kepemimpinan Transformasional berpengaruh tidak signifikan terhadapKesiapan untuk Berubah, Prinsip Birokrasi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Kesiapan untukBerubah, sedangkan Iklim Psikologis adalah paling berpengaruh terhadap Kesiapan untuk Berubah.Selain itu juga diketahui bahwa antara Kepemimpinan Transformasional dan Prinsip Birokrasisaling berpengaruh positif dan signifikan, antara Prinsip Birokrasi dan Iklim Psikologis salingberpengaruh positif dan signifikan, dan antara Iklim Psikologis dan KepemimpinanTransformasional saling berpengaruh positif dan signifikan. Apabila digabungkan, maka ketigavariabel tersebut berpengaruh terhadap Kesiapan untuk Berubah sebesar 66,9

    This research aimed to improve the skill of reading comprehension students with the using of cooperative integrated reading and composition model for grade V Elementary school 09 Pontianak Barat. The method used is descriptive method with class action research form and collaborative research. Subjects of the study were 34 students.This study was conducted during III cycle with each cycle one time meeting. This results of the ability of teachers to plan learning from cycle I is 3.54, the second cycle is 3.85, the third cycle is 3.90. The results of research from the implementation of learning from the cycle I is 3.79, the second cycle is 3.81, the third cycle is 3.93. The result of research reading comprehension essay from cycle I that is 66.80 cycle II that is 75.39, cycle III that is 76,95. So, using of cooperative integrated reading and composition model can improve the skill of reading comprehension students

    Peningkatan Motivasi Belajar Siswa melalui Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Teknik Word Square di Sekolah Dasar

    This research aimed to describe about the increase of the student's motivation by cooperative technique word square on social studies in class V SDN 16 South Pontianak. The method that used in this research is desciptive method with the kind of research is classroom action research. The subject in this research are the teacher who teach in social studies class and the student in class VA totalling 34 students. The analysis result showed that there are increase on teacher's skill when teaching with cooperative learning technique word square and student's motivation. The increase of teacher's skill when teaching with cooperative learning technique word square can seen from the increase of the average score from all of the cycle, 3,35 on first cycle, 3,53 on second cycle and reach 3,92 in third cycle. The increase fron first cycle to third cycle is 0,57. Meanwhile the increase of student's motivation can seen from the increase of the percentage average, 56,77% on first cycle, 73,38% on second cycle, and reach 79,41% in third cycle. The increase from first cycle to third cycle is 22,64

    Improving Student Learning Activity Using Cooperative Learning Approach to the Study of Natural Science Fourth Grade Elementary School District 04 Commander Nanga Nanga Sekadau Garden District,, the general objective of this study was to describe the activity peningktan menggunalan students through a cooperative approach to the learning of Natural Sciences Students Elementary School fourth Grade 04 Nanga Koman. The research method used in this research is descriptive nature of this study is qualitative and type of research is a classroom action research (CAR), which in practice collaborate with colleagues. The research was conducted for 2 cycles. The result shows the first cycle of physical activity 60.58%, 52.31% mental activity, emotional activity of 77.88%. In the second cycle of physical activity 76.92%, 70.77% mental activity, emotional activity of 73.08%. From the data that has been obtained it can be concluded that a significant increase in each cycle

    Sago resin is the exudat from the plant sago (Metroxylon sagus Rottb.) from of gels and substances classified as anionic polysaccharides, colloidal nature with consistency and power of adhesive material resembling, it can be used as a binder tablets. This study aims to determine the effect of differences levels of sago resin variation as the ingredient binder dexamethason tablet the physical properties and release. Sago resin comes from the plant of sago then filtered (cleaned of impurities), blended into a fine powder to the next level with mucilago made FI (1%); FII (3%); FIII (5%); FIV (7%) and FV (10%). The sago resin mucilago is used a binder in the manufacture of granule with wet granulation method. The physical properties tested of the granule include flow time, repose of angle and compresibility. Tablets obtained its physical an chemical properties of the tested include uniformity of weight, hardness, friability, disintegration time, disolution and determination of concentration the active substances. The data obtained analyzed by comparing the theoretical approach with the relevant literature and statistically analyzed using corellation regretion alalyzed with a level of 95% The results obtained showed that the granules and tablets of all formulas meet the requirements of physical and chemical properties of a good tablet. The addition concentration of the sago resin as a binder causes the tablet hardness and disintegration time there is a significant difference between the formulas, while the release of the active substance and content uniformity tablets is not influenced by the increase in the concentration of sago resin
