Development of interactive mathematics learning media on statistics topic for hearing-impaired student

This research is a development research carried out to answer the problem of scarcity of special mathematics learning resources for hearing-impaired students. Through this research will be developed interactive mathematics learning media which (i) contains material about Statistics in Class VII, (ii) displays abstract mathematical objects in visual form, (iii) displays interesting visualizations according to the characteristics of hearing-impaired students, (iv) equipped with sign language, (v) hierarchically arranged which is ordered where students will be able to move to the next page if they have been able to give the right response/answer, (vi) equipped with evaluation with direct feedback. The research was conducted through four stages, adopting a 4-D development research design (define, design, develop, and disseminate). The quality of the media produced is determined based on expert validation. The results of expert validation indicate that the devices developed have met very valid criteria. In order for the device to meet eligibility criteria, the research needs to be continued so that practical and effective criteria are met through limited and broad trials

RANCANG BANGUN SISTEM PENGUKURAN INDEKS KEPUASAN MASYARAKAT (IKM) BERBASIS WEB DI PEMERINTAH KABUPATEN BADUNG

This study focuses on the implementation of the Community Satisfaction Survey (CSS) in Badung Regency, Indonesia, in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform of the Republic of Indonesia Number 14 of 2017. In 2022, the Badung Regency Research and Development Agency, in synergy with the Badung Regency Secretariat Organization, conducted an independent survey using Google Forms accessed through employees' mobile phones as survey instruments. However, the processing of survey results was carried out manually using Microsoft Excel. Given these challenges, the author perceives the importance of developing a system designed to measure the Community Satisfaction Index (CSI) online. This research aims to design and develop a web-based CSI Measurement System capable of processing data efficiently. The outcome of this research is expected to be a web-based CSI Measurement System implemented within the Badung Regency Government. With the implementation of this system, it is hoped that the survey process and data processing can be carried out more effectively and efficiently.Studi ini berfokus pada pelaksanaan Survei Kepuasan Masyarakat (SKM) di Kabupaten Badung, Indonesia, sesuai dengan Peraturan Menteri Pendayagunaan Aparatur Negara dan Reformasi Birokrasi Republik Indonesia Nomor 14 Tahun 2017. Pada tahun 2022, Badan Penelitian dan Pengembangan Kabupaten Badung dan Badan Organisasi Setda Kabupaten Badung bekerja sama dalam survei mandiri menggunakan Google Form melalui ponsel pegawai sebagai survei. Namun, pengolahan hasil survei dilakukan secara manual dengan Microsoft Excel. Berdasarkan tantangan ini, penulis merasa penting untuk mengembangkan sebuah sistem yang dirancang untuk mengukur Indeks Kepuasan Masyarakat (IKM) secara online. Isolasi dan Identifikasi Bakteri Asam Laktat dari Cairan Rumen Sapi Bali sebagai Kandidat Biopreservatif ISOLATION AND IDENTIFICATION OF ACID LACTIC BACTERIA FROM BALI CATTLE’S GASTRIC FLUID AS A POTENTIAL CANDIDATE OF BIOPRESERVATIVE

A study was conducted to isolate and identify of lactic acid bacteria originated from gastric fluid of bali cattle, and to determine their potential as the candidates of biopreservative. Lactic acid bacteria were isolated by culturing the gastric fluid of bali cattle in de Mann, Rogosa, Sharpe (MRS) medium; screening the bacteria, and identification of bacteria species by Analytical Profile Index (API) 50 CHL Kit. The results showed that, the new species of lactic acid bacteria were isolated and identified as Lactococcus lactis spp lactis 1 (SR21 isolate) and Lactobacillus brevis 1 (SR54 isolate) that have broad spectrum antimicrobial activities. It is clear from this study that a potential lactic acid bacteria producing antimicrobial agent can be isolated from the gastric fluid of bali cattle

Malaria epidemiology and control methods in specific geographical foci in Lombok and Sumbawa islands of Indonesia; (I) epidemiology

Malaria epidemiological surveys were carried out in two subdistricts; Meninting of Lombok island and Utan of Sumbawa island, Indonesia in 2002 through 2003. In Meninting, distribution of hypo- to meso- endemicity was observed mainly in hilly forested areas and partially in coastal areas with no distribution in the more densely populated flat areas surrounded by rice fields. In contrast, in Utan the distribution was limited to the coastal areas. In Utan, treatment follow-up studies revealed the prevalence of chloroquine resistant Plasmodium falciparum (P. f.). Although the degree of malaria endemicity in the two areas was regarded as hypo- to meso-endemic, the majority of affected individuals were under the age of ten, and the number of positive cases declined with increasing age. Interestingly, age dependence to species-specific infection was observed, younger children being more prone to P. vivax infections than to P. f
