AVALIAÇÃO DE ESTRATÉGIAS DE DESENVOLVIMENTO ECONÔMICO E SOCIAL POR MEIO DA IMPLANTAÇÃO DE CADEIAS PRODUTIVAS DE FRUTICULTURA NO ESPÃRITO SANTO

In the recent years we have observed a strong movement to provide alternatives for innovative economic development, to consider problems relating to poverty and income generation. The study of the productive chain of fruits in the northern region of the state of Espirito Santo, Brazil, seeks to understand the ways of interaction among economic social, and political agents as well as external forces that interfere in the production, processing and marketing of juices and pulps of fruits. This work is characterized as an exploratory one and its methods of data collection are the document analysis, semi-structured interviews, and observation. Results demonstrate innovative strategies for implementation of the chain of fruit production aiming to ensure the diversification of products marketed by the farmer and the dilution of risk consequences of businesses. Eficiência Combinada dos Fatores de Produção: aplicação de Análise Envoltória de Dados (DEA) à produção leiteira

A avaliação da eficiência do uso de insumos na produção de produtos é um dos mais importantes temas em gestão de qualquer negócio, pois é cada vez mais importante o combate a desperdícios num contexto de recursos escassos e alta competitividade. No agronegócio isto não poderia ser diferente. As empresas precisam cada vez mais se preocupar em quão eficientes são seus processos na transformação de insumos em produtos. Neste sentido, este trabalho procura contribuir apresentando e discutindo uma metodologia de análise e avaliação do desempenho organizacional, através da utilização de Análise Envoltória de Dados (DEA) com base em informações de múltiplos inputs e outputs de 20 produtores de leite da região sudeste ao longo de quatro meses. Percebe-se que a metodologia proposta possui características multicriteriais que a tornam mais capaz de modelar a complexidade dos processos produtivos. Além disso, pode-se obter um ferramental de apoio gerencial baseado em benchmarking, que proporciona aos produtores a possibilidade de buscar a melhoria contínua de seus processos de transformação
