This paper approaches the problem of CSR in the context of social economy development in New Member States at the example of Poland. We explore the opportunities for companies to engage into socially beneficial undertakings with direct rather than indirect economic advantages. Namely, we demonstrate to what extent currently existing legal regulations enable bridging the world of civil society institutions with corporate world. We suggest that even without specialized instruments adopted and implemented by CEECs governments, innovative inclusion solutions developed by civil society organizations may actually provide sufficient incentives for companies in new member states to develop CSR. We suggest that for instance standard handicapped rehabilitation legislation not only enables CSR through social inclusion, but actually provides strong financial incentives. We furthermore raise the issue of how legal regulations regarding the labour market situation of other groups endangered by exclusion may lead to unfair competition between the groups of excluded. Finally, we suggest a mechanism for fostering CSR via social enterprises.social economy, social enterprise, levy-quota system, corporate social responsibility

This article explores the relationship between photography and monstrosity, focusing on the specific perceptual experience of encountering a "monster" and the way in which this experience was transcribed by the photographic medium. Using both medical and freakshow photography, we'll examine the ways in which the "monster" was represented, and the views these images convey. Through the analysis of several photographs of "monsters", the text will show how photography constructed the visibility of the body, according to a normative framework that conferred a legible character on the monstrous body, a condition of its visibility. If photography became an ally of the dehumanizing practices surrounding the development of the freak figure, can it, after the decline of exhibitions of the "abnormal", reclaim them and propose a different approach to the monstrous body? This question will be explored through the photographs of Diane Arbus and Joel-Peter Witkin, two "photographers of freaks"

International audienceGhosts and corpses of women populate Matsui FuyukoÔÇÖs work that is inspired by nihonga, traditional Japanese painting. The artist subverts he aesthetic codes of genres so as to offer a feminine reading of pain. In Japan, the ghosts are mainly women, whom have fallen victim of the atrocities of men, reappearing in a form mixing beauty and grotesque. Between the bijinga, paintings representing the beauty of female bodies, and the y┼źrei-ga, prints depicting supernatural beings, including the kus┼Źzu, representations of corpses serving as a visual support for Buddhist meditation on death, the female figures of Matsui are the modern avatars of the fascination that the morbid and the macabre can inspire. With the corpses of young girls, Matsui represents the uninterrupted cycle of life and death, faithful to Buddhist thoughts. This article aims at highlighting the nature of the female dead in the work of Matsui Fuyuko, which is that of complex beings, neither completely carnal, nor truly spiritual undertheir multiple appearances ÔÇô terrifying beings whose appearance carries the realization of a tense truth, and reveals an ineffable pain. We will clarify this truth by first studying the representation of female figures made by Matsui in what is usually male arts in the portraying suffering in a peculiar manner, then analyzing the artistÔÇÖs way of subverting the codes of genres from which she borrows the aesthetic, despite a typically traditional painting technique, and finally discussing the ambiguous fascination that the spectator can have in front of a decomposing corpse. Osoby badane (w wieku 21-36 lat) zosta┼éy poproszone o wype┼énienie Profilu kompetencji spo┼éecznych (PROKOS), Kwestionariusza Narcyzmu (NARPI) i Skali satysfakcji ze zwi─ůzku (CSI-32). Nast─Öpnie, stosuj─ůc jednoczynnikow─ů analiz─Ö wariancji, sprawdzono, czy osoby najstarsze w rodze┼ästwie, ÔÇŁ┼ŤrodkoweÔÇŁ i najm┼éodsze r├│┼╝ni─ů si─Ö poziomem uzyskanych wynik├│w. Analiza statystyczna nie potwierdzi┼éa postawionych hipotez. Jedynie w przypadku skali Domagania si─Ö podziwu (jedna ze skal Kwestionariusza narcyzmu) uzyskano istotny statystycznie wynik. Osoby urodzone jako ÔÇ×┼ŤrodkoweÔÇŁ osi─ůgn─Ö┼éy wy┼╝sze wyniki, ni┼╝ najm┼éodsi z rodze┼ästwa. Przeprowadzono tak┼╝e dodatkow─ů analiz─Ö danych, kt├│rej rezultaty wskaza┼éy na dodatni─ů korelacj─Ö narcyzmu i kompetencji spo┼éecznych, wy┼╝szy poziom kompetencji spo┼éecznych w grupie os├│b posiadaj─ůcych rodze┼ästwo tylko jednej p┼éci, w por├│wnaniu do os├│b, kt├│re posiadaj─ů zar├│wno braci, jak i siostry oraz wy┼╝szy poziom samowystarczalno┼Ťci i kompetencji asertywnych u m─Ö┼╝czyzn, ni┼╝ u kobiet. Uzyskane wyniki zosta┼éy zinterpretowane oraz om├│wione w dyskusji z danymi z literatury przedmiotu. The aim of the study was to find relations between the birth order and level of social competence, narcissism and satisfaction with the relationship in young adult people. The theoretical basis for the master thesis are the concepts of the differentiation of people's development in view of their birth order by Alfred Adler (1927), Frank Sulloway (1996) and Walter Toman (1961). Also detailed are the key terms for the study such as social competence, narcissism, and attachment. It was assumed that people with both older and younger siblings will have the highest levels of social competence and satisfaction with relationship, while persons with the oldest position within siblings will be characterized by the highest level of narcissism. The paper is divided into two parts. The first one contains information about the role of the family in human life, the theory of birth order from perspective of different authors, and the terms of social competence, narcissism and satisfaction with relationship. The second part presents an empirical analysis of the subject. Participants (aged 21-36) were asked to complete Profil Kompetencji Spo┼éecznych (PROKOS) which measures social skills, Narcissistic Personality Inventory (NPI/NARPI) and Couples Satisfaction Index (CSI-32). Then, using a one-way analysis of variance, it was verified that the ÔÇťfirstbornsÔÇŁ, ÔÇťmiddlebornsÔÇŁ and the ÔÇťlastbornsÔÇŁ, were different in their level of achievement. The analysis did not confirm the hypotheses. A statistically significant result was obtained only for one of the NPI scales. Middleborns are characterized by a higher level of desire for being admired than the lastborn. An additional data analysis was also carried out. The results indicated a positive correlation between narcissism and social competence, a higher level of social competence in the group of people with single-sex siblings compared to those with both brothers and sisters, and higher levels of self-sufficiency and assertive competences in group of men than women. The obtained results were interpreted and presented in discussions with the literature of the subject matter
