Chromosome-level genome and annotation of the two-spotted spider mite <i>Tetranychus urticae</i>
We assembled chromosome-level genomes of Tetranychus urticae using Illumina, Nanopore, and Hi-C sequencing technologies. The assembled contigs had a total length of 103.94 Mb (N50 of 3.46 Mb), but this was reduced to 87.7 Mb following scaffolding to the chromosome level. This genome had BUSCO completeness of 94.8% and exhibited high synteny to previously published TSSM genome assemblies. We identified 15,604 protein-coding genes with a BUSCO completeness of 93.4%. The high-quality genome provides invaluable resources for the genetic and evolutionary study of TSSM.</p
