ATTITUDE TOWARDS FEMALE STUDENT PARTICIPATION IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND COMPETITIVE SPORTS IN DEGREE GIRLS COLLEGES
Sports are generally opted either for the sake of recreation or for thecompetition or for achieving both the purposes at the same time. Competitivesports are played from amateur level of university competitions to theprofessional levels of regional, provisional, national and internationalcompetitions. The data was collected through Questionnaire that is “Attitudetowards female Students participation in Physical Education and Competitivesports (ATFSPPECS)”; the sample of study is comprised of 239 subjects,Female students of Government Girls Degree Colleges Hyderabad B.Sc.,B.Com, B.Cs, BA-I,II (N=180), Female Sports Directress(N=09),Parents(N=50). When laying out the plan or set of strategies for attractinggirls towards taking a part in sports or physical activities regularly, whatshould be kept in the mind is that the problem does not lie in the gender of theparticipant, lesser resources and deficient training and practicingopportunities are the real problems. The activities are not constructedappropriately and are not taught in the proper way and this is one of the bigproblems as well
ASSESSING THE INCLINATION OF UNDERGRADUATE’S JHANG STUDENT TO THE PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND SPORTS
Objectives: Assessing the Inclination of undergraduate’s Jhang student to thePhysical Activities and sports. In instructive organizations requirement toinspire the scholars to join in physical events and sports. Physical education,health and sports science is an important part of schooling. Persons are fullystrain, depressive and nervousness during lifecycle. So, people need to regulartake part in physical events and sports. Method: A simple questionnairesurvey method had applied and used a random sampling technique to collectthe study information of 200 subjects from selected four institutesundergraduate’s Jhang student. The variables of the study were physicalactivities as esthetic practices, societal skills and healthiness & wellbeing hasrich perception in the inclination of undergraduate’s student study. Results:The results of consistency were found for healthiness & wellbeing 0.828,social knowledge 0.817 and an Esthetic experience 0.712. The total overall200 subject Cronbach’s alpha significance was 0.831 of both genders.Conclusion: The overall inclination to the selected variables was important.Undergraduate’s student was cognizant of the profits of physical activities andsports, healthiness and wellbeing for their esthetic practice to remainwellbeing in life
Differential Effects of Natural Grazing and Feedlot Feeding on Yak Fecal Microbiota
Variation in food and diet shapes the diversity of the gut microbiota of ruminants. The present study investigated the microbial diversity in the fecal microbiota of yaks reared under natural grazing and feedlot system. A total of 48 domestic yaks with an average age of 7.5 years were selected from two different grazing habitats: one group grazed on natural pasture (grazing yaks—GY) while the other group was fed fodder and concentrate (feedlot yaks—FY). Crude protein, non-fiber carbohydrate, hemicelluloses, and digestible dry matter contents of natural pastures were higher than those in the feedlot. The lower insoluble fiber contents were found in grazing land. The 16S rRNA gene sequencing revealed 675 and 348 unique operational taxonomic units (OTUs) in the GY and FY, respectively, in addition to 1,778 common OTUs. Overall, a total of 9,891 OTUs were identified as a whole, of which 6,160 OTUs were from GY and 3,731 were from FY. Shannon index analysis revealed a higher bacterial diversity in GY than FY. At the phylum level, Firmicutes were dominant bacterial taxa in both groups. The relative abundance of Firmicutes in GY (56% ± 0.05) was higher than in FY (41% ± 0.08). At the family level, GY had a significantly higher abundance of Ruminococcaceae (p < 0.001) and Rikenellaceae (p < 0.001) than FY, but FY had a significantly higher abundance of Prevotellaceae than GY (p < 0.001). At the genus level, abundances of Faecalibacterium, Alloprevotella, and Succinivibrio were higher in FY than in GY. This study presents novel information on fecal bacterial composition and diversity in yaks reared under two different production systems
Reducing the environmental impact of surgery on a global scale: systematic review and co-prioritization with healthcare workers in 132 countries
Abstract
Background
Healthcare cannot achieve net-zero carbon without addressing operating theatres. The aim of this study was to prioritize feasible interventions to reduce the environmental impact of operating theatres.
Methods
This study adopted a four-phase Delphi consensus co-prioritization methodology. In phase 1, a systematic review of published interventions and global consultation of perioperative healthcare professionals were used to longlist interventions. In phase 2, iterative thematic analysis consolidated comparable interventions into a shortlist. In phase 3, the shortlist was co-prioritized based on patient and clinician views on acceptability, feasibility, and safety. In phase 4, ranked lists of interventions were presented by their relevance to high-income countries and low–middle-income countries.
Results
In phase 1, 43 interventions were identified, which had low uptake in practice according to 3042 professionals globally. In phase 2, a shortlist of 15 intervention domains was generated. In phase 3, interventions were deemed acceptable for more than 90 per cent of patients except for reducing general anaesthesia (84 per cent) and re-sterilization of ‘single-use’ consumables (86 per cent). In phase 4, the top three shortlisted interventions for high-income countries were: introducing recycling; reducing use of anaesthetic gases; and appropriate clinical waste processing. In phase 4, the top three shortlisted interventions for low–middle-income countries were: introducing reusable surgical devices; reducing use of consumables; and reducing the use of general anaesthesia.
Conclusion
This is a step toward environmentally sustainable operating environments with actionable interventions applicable to both high– and low–middle–income countries
Cyberbullying Victimization: Hope for Life among Victimized University Graduates
This research study is focused on cyber-bullying victimisation, as well as the hope of the victimized graduates to live their lives fearlessly. For this purpose, university victimised graduates were interviewed using the snowball sampling technique. The results of the study are alarming in terms of their nature and intensity –the victimized graduates were blackmailed and thinking of suicide, they were socially stigmatized, they sacrificed their lives and some surrendered or compromised with what the bully said to do. They isolated themselves and alike. The study suggested that students should avoid sharing their personal information via social networking sites with those people who are not known to them. The study also suggested that parents should keep an eye on social media accounts as well as ICTs’ devices of their children. Also, educational intuitions should organize awareness seminars to make students aware of cyber-bullying and how to escape from being victimized.</jats:p
Preparation of Sesame Flour Supplemented High Protein and Energy Food Bars
In this study, defatted sesame flour was mixed in different proportions (0, 25, 50, 75 and 100%and given names as T0, T1, T2, T3, T4, respectively) with peanut flour and semolina to develop proteinenriched sesame bars. These bars were analysed for physicochemical properties. Water activity, texture,calorific value, mineral profile, microbial examination and sensory evaluation were done at ambienttemperature for 90 days. Results showed that water activity decreased from T0-T4 with mean values 0.6038-0.4308, respectively. Hardness decreased within treatments from T0-T4 with mean values ranges from966.86 to 211.48 g while, factorability increased from 70.41 to 100.33 mm. Calorific value was alsoincreased with maximum energy value found in T4 (5355.5Kcal/g) and minimum in T0 (3445.9Kcal/g).During storage, mold growth was increased from 3.2758CFU/g (T0) to 3.6008CFU/g (T4). Sensoryevaluation results showed that T2 gave overall best results having moisture content 4.5%, crude protein35.73%, crude fat 0.61%, crude fibre 2.14%, total ash 2.44% and nitrogen free extract (NFE) 46.04.</jats:p
