    Waste problem is a complicated problem in Indonesia; aseptic packaging waste is one of them. This study student tried to recycle paper carton aseptic packaging into paper art. The purpose of this study was to learn how variations of adhesive influence raw material mass in the process of aseptic packaging waste into art paper, to analize the quality of the result on its grammature test, tearing strength index, tensile strength index, and the bursting strength index Student used 50gr of raw material mass and variations of 5%, 7.5% and 10% of PVAC adhesive. The results of generated paper art then tested in the laboratory of paper to determine its Grammature, Tearing strength index, Tensile strength index, and the Bursting strength index. The best results for Grammature determination at 10% adhesive concentration is 352 g. The best result for Tensile strength index at 10% adhesive concentration is. 7.56mN. The best results for Tearing strength index 10% adhesive concentration is 4776 kN / m and the best results for Bursting strength index is 545.84 kPa. Overall the paper art produced, including in both categories in accordance with the quality standards of food packaging cardboard and paper

    Tampan District doesn\u27t have a facility construction faecal sludge treatment plan so that the septic tank draining directly discharges to open lands. Based on Permen PU No. 01/PRT/M/2014 Tampan District already complete the minimum services standards of a faecal sludge treatment plan was planned to solve the faecal sludge problem in four subdistrict in Tampan District. Processing system that is applied is physically processing by sludge seperation chamber (SSC) to separate solids from faecal sludge at the beginning of processing, SSC are provided 4 bath processing efficiency for BOD 35% and TSS 85%. Subsequent processing in biology by the 2 units of anaerobic baffle reactor (ABR) each of which consists of five compartments, 2 units ABR processing efficiency for BOD 95% and 85%, TSS is 85% and 80%. the Characteristics of faecal sludge before processing BOD 6,400 mg/l and TSS 29,900 mg/l. t Effluents water from the faecal sludge processing already met the standard based on Permen LH No. 5 in 2014 with a value of BOD 36 mg / liter and the value of TSS 155 mg / liter

    In 2013, Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) of Pekanbaru was transported to landfill reach 14.631 tonnes/month from 999.031 people with 4,06% population growth rate. The waste in landfill will be decomposed in anaerobic digestion process and produced methane (CH4) with composition of 45%-60%. Based on Peraturan Menteri Pekerjaan Umum Republik Indonesia Nomor 03/Prt/M/2013 the operational of the landfill either by controlled landfill or sanitary landfill should be able to control the landfill gas, ensure the worker safety and emergency response and management of flammable threat. This research predicted the production and dispersion of methane gas and carbon dioxide from MSW of Pekanbaru landfill from anaerobic fermentation process. Production of methane gas and carbon dioxide were analyzed with LandGEM. Based on the LandGEM analysis shown that the total landfill gas from Pekanbaru landfill in 2020 will reach 3.147.585 m3/year equalsto 359,313 m3/hour. Total methane generation will reach 1.888.551 m3/year equals to 215,588 m3/hour and 1.259.034 m3/year equals to 143,725 m3/hour for total carbon dioxide

    Hospitals as health facilities that are curative and rehabilitative should be free of pollutants such as particulate matter. One cause of the particulate matter in the hospital is incineration. Hospital incinerators that burn trash in hazardous / infectious, so it is necessary to determine the level of distribution of the particulates produced by burning incinerator. This research is a descriptive study using dispersion method gauss with Screen View program. Parameters that are seen medical waste generation, particulate concentrations, wind direction and wind speed, and distance distribution of particulates. The data obtained are presented in the form of graphs and tables. The highest particulate distribution on the wind direction is north east with the concentration of 2.32 μg / m3 at a distance of 100 m from the incineratorat a distance of 100 m from the incinerator emissions rate 0.00957 g/s, 0.38 stack inside diameter and 9 m stack high

    Limbungan Baru is the most populous Sub-District in Rumbai Pesisir District. The high level of density population in Limbungan Baru Sub-District is as one potential contributor of CO2 emissions. The calculation of total energy consumption that generate CO2 emmision was called carbon footprint. The CO2 emissions from the household activities are divided into primary and secondary CO2 emissions. The primary CO2 emissions is resulting from fuel used in households, while the secondary CO2 emissions is resulting from the used of electric household equipment. CO2 emmision were calculated using IPCC method (1996). Total CO2 emissions from household activities in Limbungan Baru Sub-District is 2.194,614 tons CO2/month where primary CO2 emissions amounted to 185,535 tons CO2/month, and secondary CO2 emissions amounted to 2.009,089 tons CO2/month

    The growth of economic and population, especially in tampan district Pekanbaru is followed by the increase of transportation infrastructures and increasing amount of vehicle result in the increasing amount of vehicle. This increasing amount of vehicles result in the increasing amount of carbondioxide (CO2) emission produced. CO2 will enlarge the Greenhouse Effect which can cause global warming. Because of that, a measurement is needed to find out the amount of CO2 emission produced transportations activities. In this research, the measurement is done by total vehicle appoarch and emission factor. This research was conducted Soebrantas Street, Lobak, Bangau Sakti, Kamboja, Purwodadi and Suka Karya. The total amount of vehicles is measured with video recorder on at research locations for 16 hours. The recording was conducted on effective days. From the measurment, CO2 emission from transportations activities for converted vehicles in Tampan district is 169.786,914 kg CO2 on effective days

    Sultan Syarif Kasim II International Airport Pekanbaru serve domestic and International flights, this airport is also a home base for Squadron 16 and Squadron 12 Roesmin Nurjadin air base. The noise level is affected by flight activity in the airport. The purpose of this research is to determine the intensity of noise at the airport and the surrounding residential area, duration of noise exposure, and mapping of noise spread pattern. Noise measurement method based on KepMenLH No 48 of 1996, and the device used is Sound Level Meter (SLM). Measurement of sound pressure level (Lp) lasted 1 day. Based on the results of data processing of the 5 points of measurement, results showed the level of noise in the airport area is 77.72 to 91.82 dBA . Noise control can be performed by making of noise barriers and using noise-absorbing materials in the construction of houses

    Potential Indonesian palm oil showed that palm oil agribusiness role in the economy community, national and global. Environmental issues are closely linked to oil palm agribusiness one of them as a major contributor of greenhouse gas emissions (GHG). Riau Province is the largest palm oil producer in Indonesia, amounted to 7.3336 million tons with 146 units Palm Oil mill (POM). POM X is one which POM in the province of Riau. Total emissions resulting from palm oil mill X is 1,383,336.559 CO2 equivalent / year, with the largest emissions come from the use a boiler is 79%. Then followed with from diesel use is 18% and wastewater treatment is 3%. Mitigation measures to reduce GHG emissions in the POM X by capture methane gas into biogas. This method can reduce GHG emissions from the treatment of wastewater in the POM X is 89.261%

    The green open space is one of an effort in order to handling of the increasing the greenhouse gas emission, because green open space has an ability to absorbing the CO2 emission. The purpose of this research is to find out the potential of absorption capacity of CO2 by the pbulic\u27s green open space and to analyze the level of absoption of CO2 by green open space from transportation activity. The method in this research is calculate the value of CO2 emissions and counting the trees whcih has diameters more than 20 centimeter. The sufficiency of green open space was analyze and then compared the absorbing power of CO2 by trees with number of CO2 emissions that produced. Sukajadi district is produced the CO2 emissions from transportation which is high enough as much as 51.212.465 ton CO2/year. While the ability of CO2 absorption by the public\u27s green open space in Sukajadi district only 6.456,68 ton CO2/year. The public\u27s green open space in Sukajadi district thet viewed of absorbing CO2 emissions of transportation is still not enough with percentage is only about 0,0126%
