    Supersymmetric contributions to B --> K pi in the view of recent experimental result

    Get PDF
    Supersymmetric contributions to the branching ratios and CP asymmetries of B--> K pi decays are analyzed in the view of recent experimental measurements. We show that supersymmetry can still provide a natural solution to the apparent discrepancy between theses results and the standard model expectations. We emphasize that chargino contributions may enhance the electroweak penguin effects that can resolve to the B--> K pi puzzle. We also point out that a non-universal AA-terms is an essential requirement for this solution.Comment: 9 pages, 2 figure

    A possible supersymmetric solution to the discrepancy between B -> \phi K_S and B -> \eta' K_S CP asymmetries

    We present a possible supersymmetric solution to the discrepancy between the observed mixing CP asymmetries in B -> \phi K_S and B -> \eta' K_S. We show that due to the different parity in the final states of these processes, their supersymmetric contributions from the R-sector have an opposite sign, which naturally explain the large deviation between S_{\phi K_S} and S_{\eta' K_S}. We also consider the proposed mechanisms to solve the puzzle of the observed large branching ratio of B -> \eta' K and study their impact on S_{eta' K_S}.Comment: 4 pages, 2 figure

    Stability in Generalized Modified Gravity

    Full text link
    The stability issue of a large class of modified gravitational models is discussed with particular emphasis to de Sitter solutions. Three approaches are briefly presented and the generalization to more general cases is mentioned.Comment: 6 pages, talk delivered at DSU08 Cair

    Double Higgs peak in the minimal SUSY B-L model

    Full text link
    Motivated by a 3σ\sim 3\sigma excess recorded by the CMS experiment at the LHC around a mass of order 137\sim 137 GeV in ZZ4lZZ\to 4l and γγ\gamma\gamma samples, we analyse the discovery potential of a second neutral Higgs boson in the Supersymmetric BLB-L extension of the Standard Model (BLSSM) at the CERN machine. We confirm that a double Higgs peak structure can be generated in this framework, with CP-even Higgs boson masses at 125\sim125 GeV and 137\sim137 GeV, unlike the case of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM).Comment: 7 pages, 4 figures. SU(5) Octet Scalar at the LHC

    Full text link
    Color scalars are salient features of non-minimal SU(5) model, where Higgs sector is extended by 45-dimensional multiplet. We show that gauge coupling unification can be realized in this model with TeV octet scalar and intermediate (~10^6 GeV) color-triplet scalar at scale larger than 10^{15} GeV. We analyze the possible LHC signatures of these TeV octet scalars. We emphasize that multi-(b)-jet final states provide significant signal for direct probe of octet scalars at the LHC.Comment: 8 pages, 6 figure
