A framework for the analysis of determinants of social media acceptance in higher educational institute of Pakistan
Social media is being considered an important source in the perspective of academic learning in the educational sector. The scope of learning through social media encompasses broadening the information sharing through collaborative approach with the help of web-based social networking sites as the means to enhance the knowledge of coworkers, colleagues and other mates.Due to large scale penetration of social media among youngsters, it is being perceived to be one of the futuristic approaches for next generation knowledge sharing and academic learning. On one
hand, learning through social media has attained an important value in developed economies but on the other hand, real benefits and future implications have not been interpreted and realized in developing economies like Pakistan.Educational institutes in Pakistan need to evaluate and understand the importance and the usage of social networking for the sake of its valued role in academia.Although research communities in the developing countries are paying attention towards the development of this sector in academia but Pakistan still has to go a long way in this regard. The aim of the study is
to explore the significant factors which are affecting the delayed acceptance and usage of social media for academic learning purpose. This research proposes an integrated framework including some widely accepted technology models such as Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and Innovation Diffusion Theory (IDT) to determine significant factors
Modeling user’s trust in M-commerce acceptance: A conceptual framework in context of Pakistan
With the emergence of Intern ate and world wide web traditional business got new opportunity to complete globally.
Traditional bricks-and-mortar business became electronic business ( e-business) by utilizing information and communication technology (ICT) tools. A new term of Mobile Commerce (M-Commerce) has created tremendous spectrum of business opportunities for businesses. Although there has been large scale adoption of M-Commerce in developing economies, but little growth is observed in developing economies such as Pakistan. There are doubts that users of M-Commerce demonstrate a lack of enthusiasm, which may be due to lack of trustworthiness. Based on the well-known and widely used technology acceptance model (TAM), this research study provides the conceptual framework, underpinning the relationship of trust with adoption of M-Commerce in Pakistan. The aim of this paper is to study the role of trust and its relationship with the acceptance of M-Commerce in Pakistan
A conceptual framework for determinants of customer satisfaction of fixed-line telecom services in Pakistan
With the progression of communication
technologies, there has been a decline in people's utilization of
fixed-line telephones. It is essential to ascertain the
fundamental causes underlying this phenomenon. There are
numerous assumptions that service providers tend to favor
their interests. Gaining an understanding of the factors that
contribute to client satisfaction may require a significant
investment of effort. Consequently, this study aims to ascertain
the determinants that impact consumers' happiness with their
fixed-line telecommunications service. In order to achieve the
objectives of the research, a theoretical framework is presented whereby consumer satisfaction is considered the dependent variable. At the same time, responsiveness, perceived value, perceived service quality, and staff attitude are regarded as independent variables. The primary objective of this study is to ascertain the key factors that significantly influence Customer Satisfaction with Fixed-Line Telecom Services in Pakistan
Factors effecting fixed-line telecom services customer retention: A study of Pakistan
The use of fixed line telecom services in Pakistan is declining gradually since past few years. The purpose of this research is to integrate model that helps to evaluate the main determinants of fixed line telecom services' post purchase intention. This research proposes a comprehensive integrated framework that may help to measure the relationship among stability, content quality, responsiveness, staff attitude, functional value, perceived customer value, monetary value, perceived service quality, customer satisfaction and their impact on post-purchase intention of telecom services. Baaed on the proposed framework build through a thorough literature review, authors intend to adopt quantitative, clustered sampling approach for data collection. A structured Equation Modelling (SEM) approach will be adopted to test and validate the acquired data. Finding of this research will help operate to make proactive, feasible decisions towards best utilization of their resources in maximizing profit, retaining customer base and achieving organization goals
Measuring the impact of service quality in telecommunication services of Pakistan: a conceptual framework
The impact of the antecedents of service quality on customer satisfaction has been under debate in the academic literature since long. To ensure the customer satisfaction level, organizations require examining the level of customer expectations to servive in the compititive market environment. Increasing compitition in telecommunocation industry in Pkaitsn apeal service provider to welcome customer suuegtionrelated to sevive quality. The primary aim of this research paper is to propose a conceptual framework for investigating the influence of percieved quality, customer expectations and percieved value on the proposed research framework built thorough a thorough literature review, authors intend to adopt quantitative, clustered sampling approach for data collection. Aa structured Equation modelling (SEM) approach will be adopted to test and validate the acquired data. A clear understanding of the hypotheses of the hypothesized relationships in proposed conceptual framework would encourage telecommunication service providers to outline proper course of action to retain their customer base with optimal services. Findings of this utilization of their resources in maximizing profit, retaining customer base and achieving organizations goals
Transitional approaches for PERN migration to SDN
With the emerging concepts of internet of things (IoT), bring your own device (BYOD), smart homes, vehicular adhoc networks 9VANETS), mobility and new service demands, legacy networking approaches are being considered complex and inefficient. In recent past a new approach called software defined networks (SDN) has emerged to revolutionize the four decades old networking approaches. The SDN's capacity to programmatically control and modify the network behavior has given extra edge to its wide scale proliferation. After some large scale successful deployments by Google, VMware, Facebook etc., SDN has attained huge research and vendor attention. Almost all large scale national research and education networks (NRENs) have prepared Opne flow based SDN test beds for collaborative future networking research.Pakistan education Research Network (PERN) project is still lagging behind in utilizing its network infrastructure for research and experimentation purpose. Although, green filed network migration of PERN is a challenging task and requires lot of budget and technical expertise, transitional approaches are the best way to migrate from legacy networking to SDN. This study highlights the role of SDN and its deployments in educational research networks for next generation network experimentation. This study proposes transitional approaches for the migration of PERN towards OpenFlow based SDN environment. In this study, it will also discuss how SDN based PERN can facilitate IT, telecommunications, software engineering, computer scientist and network engineering researchers in conducting future network experimentation
