Thalassemia is a heritable blood disorder which is the outcome of a genetic defect causing lack of production of hemoglobin polypeptide chains. However, there is less understanding of the precise frequency as well as sharing in these areas. Knowing about the frequency of thalassemia occurrence and dependable mutations is thus a significant step in preventing, controlling, and treatment planning. Here, Political Tangent Search Optimizer based Transfer Learning (PTSO_TL) is introduced for thalassemia detection. Initially, input data obtained from a particular dataset is normalized in the data normalization stage. Quantile normalization is utilized in the data normalization stage, and the data are then passed to the feature fusion phase, in which Weighted Euclidean Distance with Deep Maxout Network (DMN) is utilized. Thereafter, data augmentation is performed using the oversampling method to increase data dimensionality. Lastly, thalassemia detection is carried out by TL, wherein a convolutional neural network (CNN) is utilized with hyperparameters from a trained model such as Xception. TL is tuned by PTSO, and the training algorithm PTSO is presented by merging of Political Optimizer (PO) and Tangent Search Algorithm (TSA). Furthermore, PTSO_TL obtained maximal precision, recall, and f-measure values of about 94.3%, 96.1%, and 95.2%, respectively

Recently, slimming drugs have been used to get rid of excess weight and obesity, which consist of chemical compounds of different compositions that vary in the degree of their safety on health from one compound to another and have dangerous side effects on human life. 75 blood samples were collected from people who take weight-loss drugs after being asked about their use of these drugs, and 25 samples from people who did not take weight-loss drugs, a control group. The research samples were divided into categories of withdrawal, the duration of abuse is less than a year, (1-2 years), (2-4 years) and (4-6 years). Laboratory tests were conducted on them from W.B.C count white blood cell, W.B.C differential, Packed Cell Volume P.C.V. , R.B.C count red blood cell, serum Total protein and hemoglobin Hb. The search results showed a significant decrease in W.B.C count (P<0.05) in the abused groups in the period (1-2) and it was (mm³ 7000) while the control sample was (mm³ 82800) either in the periods (2-4) and (4-6) It was low (6977.7 mm³) compared to the control sample. It also showed a significant increase in the rate of basophil and eosinophil preparation (P<0.05) in all periods, while a significant decrease occurred in the rate of lymphocyte. It also found a significant decrease in R.B.C, serum total protein and PCV. As for Hb, there was a significant decrease (P<0.05) in drug users compared to control samples for all periods. We conclude that slimming drugs have harmful effects on those who take them and may cause greater harm in the future in addition to the possibility of their effect on other organs and systems in the body if other studies focus on that

In recent days, vehicles usage and speed are highly increased that leads to an increase in energy consumption, delay, and overhead in the network. In this paper, a novel trajectory is introduced to achieve maximum reliability namely trust and mobility-based evaluation for intelligent collaborative (TMIC)-UAVs assisted VANETs. Reactive multipath greedy routing protocol (RMGR) is the hybrid routing protocol and it is the combination of ad hoc on-demand multipath distance vector (AOMDV) with greedy geographic forwarding (GGF) which is used for routing in frequently changeable network topology. To protect the network from malfunctions, effective trust evaluation (ETE) is performed by calculating the direct trust and indirect trust. Finally, to achieve effective communication among the UAVs, hybrid optimization is performed which is the combination of the genetic algorithm (GA) and the crow swarm optimization (CSO) algorithm. For validation network simulator (NS3) is used and the results show that this approach achieves high energy efficiency, delivery ratio, and reduction in delay when compared with the earlier research

    Get PDF
This study intends to cover the relationship between contract management and performance characteristics from the context of Indonesia. To address this objective, contract management is observed as the main independent variable while performance through nine items is considered as dependent variable. A questionnaire is developed through some selected factors and distributed among various respondents, dealing directly or indirectly with the projects. A sample of 70 respondents is finalized with no missing values. Empirical findings suggest that for the firm performance different variables such as nature of the solution, cost & benefit analysis are significantly associated with the contract length. While project delivery and project quality are negatively associated with the contract length. Findings of the study are highly recommended for the contract managers and similar individuals, responsible for the smooth business performance. However, future studies can be conducted with the addition of more explanatory factors for contract management with better sample size. Manage-rial implication of the study defines that Government and construction companies should reconsider the stated factors for the improved results through resolution of the conflict with the customers, cost benefit analysis and timely delivery of the project with budgetary compliance

During these years the current trends shows a fast expansion in the field of wireless sensor network (WSN) based applications. Due to this much vulnerability are created and also coverage optimization becomes essential to improve overall performance. However, maximum of the model concentrates only on security or efficiency. In order to create a highly efficient protocol both concepts need to get concerted. So, we developed a protocol namely hybrid security in ad-hoc on-demand multipath distance vector (AOMDV) routing protocol with improved salp swarm algorithm (HSA-ISSA). This model is sub-divided into three sections. They are, wormhole attack and gray hole attack construction AOMDV protocol, improved salp swarm algorithm (SSA) model is used for weighted distance position updates which leads to improve the efficiency. And to secure the network from attacks we use hybrid security with the help of Diffie-Hellman key interchange algorithm and elliptic-curve cryptography (ECC) algorithm. During performance evaluation the proposed HS-ISSA protocol provide stable results in terms of message success rate (MSR), end to end delay (E2E_Delay), network throughput (NT), and average energy efficiency (AEE). Our HAS-ISSA protocol outperformed all the other earlier works by providing hybrid security, optimized coverage as well as energy efficiency to the wireless sensor networks
