    Fermionic decays of scalar leptoquarks and scalar gluons in the minimal four color symmetry model

    Fermionic decays of the scalar leptoquarks S=S1(+),S1(),Sm S=S_1^{(+)}, S_1^{(-)}, S_m and of the scalar gluons F=F1,F2F=F_1, F_2 predicted by the four color symmetry model with the Higgs mechanism of the quark-lepton mass splitting are investigated. Widths and branching ratios of these decays are calculated and analysed in dependence on coupling constants and on masses of the decaying particles. It is shown that the decays S1(+)tlj+,S1()νib~,Smtν~j,F1tb~,F2tt~ S_1^{(+)}\to tl^+_j, S_1^{(-)}\to \nu_i\tilde b, S_m\to t\tilde \nu_j, F_1\to t\tilde b, F_2\to t\tilde t are dominant with the widths of order of a few GeV for mS,mF<1m_S, m_F<1 TeV and with the total branching ratios close to 1. In the case of mS<mtm_S < m_t the dominant scalar leptoquark decays are S_1^{(+)}\to cl_j^+, S_1^{(-)}\to \nu_i\tilde b, S_m\to b\l_j^+, S_m\to c\tilde \nu_j with the total branching ratios Br(S1(+)cl+)Br(S_1^{(+)}\to cl^+) \approx Br(S1()νb~)1Br(S_1^{(-)}\to \nu\tilde b) \approx 1, Br(Smbl+)0.9Br(S_m\to bl^+) \approx 0.9 and Br(Smcν~)0.1.Br(S_m\to c\tilde \nu) \approx 0.1.     Color Octet Scalar Bound States at the LHC

    One possible extension of the Standard Model scalar sector includes SU(2)_L doublet scalars that are color octets rather than singlets. We focus on models in which the couplings to fermions are consistent with the principle of minimal flavor violation (MFV), in which case these color octet scalars couple most strongly to the third generation of quarks. When the Yukawa coupling of color octet scalars to Standard Model fermions is less than unity, these states can live long enough to bind into color-singlet spin-0 hadrons, which we call octetonia. In this paper, we consider the phenomenology of octetonia at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). Predictions for their production via gluon-gluon fusion and their two-body decays into Standard Model gauge bosons, Higgs bosons, and \bar{t}t are presented.Comment: 13 pages, 5 figures, published versio

    Chiral color symmetry and possible GG'-boson effects at the Tevatron and LHC

    A gauge model with chiral color symmetry is considered and possible effects of the color GG'-boson octet predicted by this symmetry are investigated in dependence on two free parameters, the mixing angle θG\theta_G and GG' mass mGm_{G'}. The allowed region in the mGθGm_{G'} - \theta_G plane is found from the Tevatron data on the cross section σttˉ\sigma_{t\bar{t}} and forward-backward asymmetry AFBppˉA_{\rm FB}^{p \bar p} of the ttˉt\bar{t} production. The mass limits for the GG'-boson are shown to be stronger than those for the axigluon. A possible effect of the GG'-boson on the ttˉt\bar{t} production at the LHC is discussed and the mass limits providing for the GG'-boson evidence at the LHC are estimated in dependence on θG\theta_G.Comment: 11 pages, 2 figures, accepted for publication in Modern Physics Letters

    Colored scalar particles production in pppp-collisions and possible mass limits for scalar gluons from future LHC data

    Cross sections of the colored scalar particle production in pppp-collisions are calculated and differential and total cross sections of the corresponding parton subprocesses are obtained. The total cross section of scalar gluon production in pppp-collisions at the LHC is estimated and the dominant decays of scalar gluons are discussed. The production cross section of scalar gluons FF with masses mF1300m_F\lesssim 1300 GeV is shown to be sufficient for the effective production of these particles at the LHC.Comment: 10 pages, 3 figures, to be published in Mod.     The operation of gas pipelines is a complex of technical measures, aimed at preservation of the main stock of gas pipeline transportation facilities. The purpose of these measures is to maintain and to restore the initial operational capabilities of gas pipelines, in general and in particular areas. The line section of gas pipelines has the largest size and cost. Naturally determined process of changing the quality of gas pipelines during the operation is accompanied by the accumulation and development of damages, failures; this determines the objective need to restore the quality of operation. The practical running of the line section of gas pipelines is characterized by a certain flow of failures; therefore it is necessary to ensure the required level of reliability of the gas pipeline during the entire period of operation.     Modes of magnetic resonance in the spin liquid phase of Cs2CuCl4

    We report the observation of a frequency shift and splitting of the electron spin resonance (ESR) mode of the low-dimensional S=1/2 frustrated antiferromagnet Cs2CuCl4 in the spin-correlated state below the Curie-Weiss temperature 4 K but above the ordering temperature 0.62 K. The shift and splitting exhibit strong anisotropy with respect to the direction of the applied magnetic field and do not vanish in zero field. The low-temperature evolution of spin resonance response is a result of the specific modification of one-dimensional spinon continuum under the action of the uniform Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction (DM) within the spin chains. Parameters of the uniform DM interaction are derived from the experiment.Comment: 10 pages, 12 figure
