Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan nilai moral yang terdapat dalam novel Rembulan Tenggelam di Wajahmu Karya Tere-Liye. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode dekriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan struktural, sedangkan pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik dokumentasi, yaitu dengan membaca novel Rembulan Tenggelam di Wajahmu karya Tere-Liye, menandai bagian-bagian yang berkaitan dengan nilai moral, dan membuat tabel berdasarkan spesifikasi nilai moral. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah novel Rembulan Tenggelam di Wajahmu Karya Tere-Liye. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan kajian tekstual, yaitu dengan Mengklasifikasi atau mengelompokkan data berdasarkan spesifikasi dari masing-masing fokus masalah penelitian, menganalisis data berdasarkan klasifikasi data, dan menyimpulkan hasil analisis yang telah dilakukan. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan terdapat nilai moral dalam novel Rembulan Tenggelam di Wajahmu Karya Tere-Liye yang melingkupi: (a) Hubungan manusia dengan diri sendiri, (b) Hubungan manusia dengan manusia lain, dan (c) Hubungan manusia dengan Tuhan. Hubungan manusia dengan diri sendiri meliputi: (a) kejujuran, (b) kerendahan hati, (c) keiklasan, (d) kesabaran, (e) kerinduan, (f) keteguhan prinsip, (g) pengendalian diri, (h) keberanian, (i) penyesalan, (j) kerja keras, (k) ketakutan, (l) kebencian, (m) kemunafikan, dan (n) dendam. Hubungan manusia dengan manusia lain meliputi: (a) persahabatan, (b) kekeluargaan, (c) atasan dengan bawahan, (d) kerukunan, dan (e) tolong-tolong .     The importance of writing authentic credit contract as strong and legal evidence is legal guarantee for the parties involved in the contract. In drawing up a deed, a Notary has to adjust the evidence of the person(s) appearing to the other evidence. The research used legal normative method by analyzing legal provisions and conducting interviews with informants as the source persons. The position of a notarial deed as the law for those who make it is that a Notary was liable for any evidence before him in drawing up the deeds which were gathered in the minute of the deed. When the fraud is made by the Notary himself so that someone is harmed and it violates public interest, he is liable either for civil law or for criminal law. Administrative sanction will be imposed on a Notary who is careless in receiving and examining the evidence from debtors. The sanctions are in the forms of oral notice, written notice, honorable discharge, and dishonorable discharge. Legal protection for a Notary is regulated normatively in the prevailing laws and regulation. In drawing up a deed, a Notary should pay attention to the UUJN. He does not need to be in a hurry in drawing up a deed and giving facility to the persons appearing with the reasons of providing services and trust. He and his staf as witnesses should remind to one another if he forgets to attach the identities of the persons appearing in the minutes of the deed

    Computer Based Learning in the Malay Language for Children with Dyslexia

    The aim of this project is to develop a multimedia learning aid (SpleXia) to facilitate Malay word recognition, recall and usage by dyslexic children, based on studies of cognitive information processing. The objective is to demonstrate a 15% improvement in word recognition and replication, over a two-week period with SpleXia, among dyslexic children. Dyslexia is a condition where an individual having difficulties reading because the brain does not able to recognize and process certain symbols. The idea of this project arose from a needs assessment of the reading problems faced by dyslexic children, which affects their performance in daily life and academic enviromnents. Current therapeutic approaches to the treatment of dyslexia in Malaysia are often ineffective as they usually involve drill-based activity that-creates stress for children, parents and therapists during clinical sessions as well as the special education teachers in remedial classes. Such approaches also often foster an over-dependence on teachers, excluding independent self-learning by children and participatory involvement by parents. The reason why SpleXia targets to aid dyslexic children to improve their reading skill in Malay is because Malay is the national language of Malaysia thus it is being used widely in this country. Besides, the needs assessment also revealed a shortage of computer-based learning aids for dyslexic children in the Malay language. Benchmarking of existing Malay educational software was carried out. The application developed in this study is differentiated by (1) the placement of word cues in enviromnental settings, and (2) a stronger linkage between cues and relevant interests within the target age group. The target user of SpleXia is dyslexic children aged between 7-11 years old. According to Piaget' s cognitive development theory, children that belong to this age group are at the concrete operational stage where they see things in logical and abstract manner. They have started to understand that every object has its own characteristic and behaviour. Therefore, they are the most suitable users for SpleXia. Meanwhile, the research for this project will focus on: (1) remediation of language disorder, specifically developmental reading disorder or dyslexia, and (2) the application of multimedia technology suitable for dyslexic children, based on studies of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). The methodology employed for this project was the incremental development paradigm whereby the system was developed in stages according to user needs requirements and integrated towards the end of the development. Preliminary user testing revealed a 14% increase in word recognition and a 8% increase in word replication over a one-administration trial. Users reported that the system they subjectively perceived the application as "attractive", "fun" and "beneficial". Results can be extrapolated to suggest that long-term improvements in language performance might be anticipated over a longer administration period and additional sessional trials of the application. The research finding shows an improvement in target users' reading ability after using SpleXia for two weeks thus proving that SpleXia can be useful for dyslexic children in Malaysia and computerbased learning can revolutionize the traditional therapeutic approach for special needs children

    Augmentative and Alternative Communication is widely used in the educational context as a learning aid for improving verbal communication among students.  The aims of this research are to study the effectiveness of Augmentative and Alternative Communication implementation in improving students with autism verbal communication. This research was conducted at one of the primary school in Machang, Kelantan. 2 students with autism participate in this study as a respondent and divided into treatment group and controlled group. Pre and post-tests were conducted to collect and analyze data. Finding in this research shows there was a significant difference between the pre and post-test score in the treatment group when Augmentative and Alternative Communication application was implemented in the intervention

    Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk 1) Mengetahui keterampilan menulis teks narasi pada mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung di kelas V MIN 4 Kota Medan; 2) Mengetahui keterampilan menulis teks narasi pada mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Talk Write di kelas V MIN 4 Kota Medan; 3) Mengetahui pengaruh yang signifikan dengan penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Talk Write terhadap keterampilan menulis teks narasi pada mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia di kelas V MIN 4 Kota Medan. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif eksperimen dengan desain penelitian quasi eksperimental desain (non equivalent control group design). Sampel dalam penelitian terdiri dari 2 kelas, yaitu kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol yang berjumlah 52 siswa. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan tes pretest dan posttest. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji hipotesis (uji t). Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa, keterampilan menulis teks narasi pada mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung adalah dengan nilai rata-rata 76,34. Keterampilan menulis teks narasi pada mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think talk write adalah dengan nilai rata-rata 79,76. Hasil uji “t” diperoleh thitung > ttabel yaitu 2,764 > 2,009 dengan taraf signifikan 0,05 atau 5% yang menyatakan Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak. Hal ini membuktikan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think talk write memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap keterampilan menulis teks narasi pada mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia di kelas V MIN Kota Medan

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui makna dan nilai budaya yang terdapat dalam pedah-pedah pada pernikahan adat suku Karo dengan kajian semantik. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah  video pernikahan adat suku Karo yang telah didokumentasikan ke dalam sebuah DVD yang diambil dari desa Lau Kersik, kecamatan Gunung Sitember, kabupaten  Dairi.  Data dari penelitian ini adalah makna dan nilai budaya pedah-pedah yang diutarakan atau disampaikan oleh pihak Kalimbubu, Senina ataupun Anak Beru. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah dokumentasi video pedah-pedah yang disampaikan Kalimbubu, senina dan Anak Beru.  Teknik analisis data penelitian ini menggunakan tenik reduksi data, penyajian data, dan menarik kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan terdapat makna konotatif dan makna denotatif dalam pedah-pedah pada pernikahan adat suku Karo. Dan juga terdapat nilai budaya  dalam pedah-pedah pada pernikahan adat suku Karo yang terdiri dari nilai budaya komitmen, nilai budaya religi, nilai budaya kerukunan dan penyelesaian konflik, nilai kesopansantunan, nilai budaya pendidikan, dan nilai budaya kerja keras

    The Effects of Inclusive Education on the Self-Concept Of Students with Special Educational Needs

    Inclusive education is a platform that provides opportunities for students with special educational needs (SEN) to learn in a regular classroom with normal students. However, there are many challenges faced by students with SEN who learn in an inclusive setting, such as negative perception from the mainstream teachers and peers, being bullied and excluded by peers; facing academic issues because of following the regular curriculum like normal students, and lack of support from the parents. The problems occurred has affected the self-concept of students with SEN. Therefore, a study was conducted to explore the impact of inclusive education towards the self-concept of students with SEN in terms of identify the level of self-concept among students with SEN; identify the strongest and the weakest domains of self-concept; explores the differences of self-concept levels based on gender; and to study the relationship between the level of self-concept with the period of learning in an inclusive education. The respondents consisted of 52 students with SEN, aged between 8 to 15 years old who learn in inclusive settings from 10 schools in the district of Hulu Langat, Selangor. The study was conducted using a set of questionnaires that contains 80 items of Piers-Harris Children’s Self Concept Scale that respondents had to answer. The findings showed that the level of self-concept among the students with SEN is at moderate. The study also found that the strongest self-concept domain among the students with SEN is Happiness and Satisfaction (HAP), and the weakest self-concept domain is Popularity (POP). In addition, the results showed that there is no significant difference in the levels of self-concept based on gender, and there is no significant relationship between the levels of self-concept with learning periods in inclusive education.

    This study aims to find out and explain the social abilities of autistic children, as well as to find out the efforts of teachers to overcome the difficulties of socializing autistic children at SMKN 9 Padang a school that has an inclusion class. This type of research uses qualitative methods with a case study approach. The research subjects were class IX students with autistic disorders. Data was collected using the method of observation, interviews, and documentation. Then to test the validity of the data using a credibility test. The credibility test was carried out using a triangulation technique. The results of interviews with counseling guidance teachers and with students who discussed the analysis of the problems of autistic children in inclusive schools SMK Negeri 9 Padang City and focused on autistic children in class XI Tataboga 3. Based on the results of research that had been carried out from interviews with key informants regarding "Analysis of the problems of autistic children in inclusive schools at SMK Negeri 9 Padang City "the researchers can conclude that the problems experienced by autistic children in inclusive schools are: The interaction of autistic children at school has started to improve from the beginning autistic children entered school until now they have become more open personalities and can interact comfortably with other students. Communication for autistic children at school is not really an obstacle because autistic children are mildly autistic and can still blend in and not be much different from other students. The behavior of autistic children at school is much better, they are rarely alone

    STUDI EKSPERIMENTAL PERILAKU LENTUR KOMPOSIT BETON-BAJA RINGAN DAN BETON BERTULANG DENGAN VARIASI KETINGGIAN PENAMPANG PADA PEMBEBANAN MONOTONIK

    Tugas akhir dengan judul studi eksperimen perilaku lentur komposit beton baja ringan dan beton bertulang dengan variasi ketinggian penampang dengan pembebanan monotonik inimembahas tentang perbandinganperilaku lentur beton dengan tulangan konvensional dan beton yang menggunakan baja ringan lipped channel. Spesimen yang diuji memiliki bentang 2000 mm dengan lebar spesimen 150 mm.Spesimen yang akan diuji terdiri dari 10 spesimen dengan variasi tinggi 80 mm, 100 mm, 120 mm, 200 mm dan 300 mm. Spesimen terdiri dari dua model model pertama menggunakan tulangan konvensional 2D13 dan model kedua menggunakan dua buah baja ringan lipped channel dengan tebal 0,75 mm. Spesimen tersebut kemudian diletakkan diatas tumpuan sederhana, yang kemudian akan diuji dengan four point bending dengan pembebanan monotonik. Setelah melakukan pengujian terlihat bahwa spesimen yang menggunakan baja konvensional mengalami retak lebih dulu dibandingkan spesimen baja ringan. Selain itu terjadi peningkatan nilai kapasitas lentur, kekakuan dan daktilitas jika menggunakan baja ringan. Hasil eksperimental menunjukkan dengan menggunakan baja ringan adanya indikasi peningkatan kapasitas momen lentur sebesar 37,50 %, peningkatan kekakuan 44,42%
