Effectiveness and Interactivity on the Use of Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) in Scouting Course
This study aims at determining university students’ perceptions on the use of Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) in Scouting Course, specifically focusing on the learning effectiveness and interactivity aspects. VLE based learning has been implemented in the even semester of 2020 during the pandemic of Covid-19. This descriptive qualitative study took 40 students of Physical Education, Health, and Recreation Study Program of IKIP Budi Utomo Malang as the research sample. The results of the questionnaire analysis showed positive perception from the students in regard to Scouting Course using VLE, seen from the aspects of learning effectiveness (76.2%) and learning interactivity (80.4%). However, there were some challenges in achieving a more conducive virtual learning environment. For instance, the unstable network conditions, lack of students' initial knowledge of ICT, incompatible devices with the default system of VLE application, and one-way learning (predominantly assignments). Nevertheless, further research on the effectiveness of other VLE applications and student learning strategies are suggested
Pengembangan Buku Ajar Pramuka Berbantuan Virtual Learning Environment (VLE)
Scouting is categorized as a new course which is compulsory in Physical Education, Health, and Recreation Study Program of IKIP Budi Utomo Malang. The development of a textbook for this course was triggered by the limited amount of modules as the students’ sources in learning. The adoption of technology in learning has fostered new ways and thoughts in teaching and learning process, thus it drives shifting in learning paradigm. The emergence of new paradigm causes changes in instructional design and media development. Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) is a place where information and knowledge gathered from books can be accessed online, therefore it has flexibility value on its implementation. This study aimed at designing and developing coursebook of Scouting Course based on VLE as companion material. This Research & Developmental (R&D) study applied Alessi and Trollip’s development procedure with three stages, namely planning, designing, and developing. PENGARUH BAHAN AJAR MYOLOGI BERBASIS ANDROID UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR MAHASISWA PJKR PADA MATA KULIAH ANATOMI
The use of android-based as teaching material for Myology becomes a fascinating innovation, especially for students in classroom learning, as in Anatomy subject. Mobile-learning based teaching material was supported by features of Android namely the materials, exercises, and the answer key which were interactively packaged. This study aims at investigating the effectiveness on the use of Myology android-based teaching material to enhance Physical Education students’ achievement in Anatomy subject. Quasi experimental research was used as the method by implementing pre and posttests on control and experimental classes with 30 students each class. In giving the treatment, experimental class used android based teaching material while the control class used conventional teaching materials. The data of students’ scores were analyzed using ANCOVA and the results showed that there was significant difference at .004. Therefore, null hypothesis was rejected. By then, it is concluded that Mylogy android-based teaching material was effective to be used in enhancing Physical Education students’ achievements at Anatomy subject (p<0.05)
The Relationship between Arm Muscle and Leg Muscle Strength to Volleyball Overhand Serve for Elementary Students
This study aims to determine the relationship between the arm and the leg muscle strength with the volleyball overhand service during the post-pandemic era. As we know, when the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak, students’ activities and movements were limited. In fact, moving is an important point in the growth and development of students. Subject of this study were 30 male students of fifth and sixth grades SDN Bago 01 Pasirian District, Lumajang Regency; which then be used as the sample of the study. This study implements quantitative research method with correlation technique to figure out whether there is correlation between the variables; and if so, how significant and meaningful the correlation. The instruments of this study are in form of tests of (1) arm muscle strength, (2) leg muscle strength, and (3) volleyball overhand serve skill. The data were analyzed using statistical correlation with significance level a = 0.05. The result of this study showed that there is no significant correlation between arm and leg muscle strength with overhand serve skills of the fifth and sixth grade male students of SDN Bago 01 Pasirian District, Lumajang Regency (F-ratio 1.747 < F-table 3.32)
Efforts to Improve Self-Service Activities With Play Methods in The Perspective of Parenting of Parents Children with Autism
There are still many parents who have autistic children who experience parenting problems, especially in self-help activities. Where the educational background and occupation of parents greatly influence how parenting is implemented for their daughters. One way to solutions with this problem is to provide self-development activities accompanied by movement activities with play. With the aim of ensuring that autistic children have a better and optimal quality of life, so that they can carry out self-development activities independently without expecting help from others. This research refers to a qualitative descriptive methodology. Then the data collection uses interviews, observation and documentation of parenting of autistic children. The research subjects were three parenting of autistic children in the Malang City area. The results of the research obtained are that parenting have sincerely accepted whatever their child's condition is. Movement activities carried out by parents in an effort to increase the self-development activities of autistic children are by providing outdoor activities such as walking outside the house, running, rolling, crawling, walking on footbridges, throwing and catching, bouncing a ball, cycling, swimming, zig-zag walking, brain exercises and so on. Understanding the factors that determine when dealing with autistic children requires understanding and cooperation from both parents themselves. So, good parenting and the right environment will be able to support autistic children to have optimal independence
Improving Learning Outcomes of Hanging Style Long Jump Through Playing Method for Junior High School Students in Blitar
The long jump is one of the race numbers in athletics. One of the styles for doing the long jump is the hanging style, which is the basic movement that students do when demonstrating the long jump, where in the floating phase it is done with a hanging attitude. The results of observations at SMP Negeri 1 Selorejo, Blitar Regency, showed that student learning outcomes were very low. This is because the hanging style long jump is quite difficult to move, so teachers must intensively teach students, both through appropriate methods and media. One way is to apply the playing method using modified media or tools, such as used motorcycle tires and cardboard for jumping media. This study aims to determine the improvement of learning outcomes in the hanging style long jump through the play method for class VII C students at SMP Negeri 1 Selorejo, Blitar Regency. This research method is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which consists of two cycles with the provision of repeated actions in each cycle through the stages of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The results of this study indicate that the percentage of grade VII C students at SMP Negeri 1 Selorejo, Blitar Regency who completed (final score of the hanging style long jump test KKM 80) in cycle 1 was 68% with an average test score of 80. However, the percentage of students' learning mastery increased. to 88% in cycle 2 with the average test score increased to 87.1. This shows that the percentage of students in grade VII C of SMP Negeri 1 Selorejo, Blitar Regency who have completed, is increasing after students are given an action in the form of learning the hanging style long jump through the play method for two cycles
Improving the Learning Outcomes of Junior High School Students in Landak Regency in Football Lessons with a Shooting Color Game Approach
Football is one of the materials in physical education lessons in junior high school. There are several basic techniques that students must learn in soccer games. Based on the results of observations on the soccer game of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Sompak, Landak Regency, it was found that students lacked mastery of techniques in soccer. This affects student learning outcomes in soccer material. The solution to overcome the problem is to implement a color shooting game approach. Shooting Color is a kind of soccer game which is divided into 2 teams, each team consists of 8-10 people. How to score points by entering the ball towards the goal where the goal is divided into 3 parts of different colors, namely red and blue. The blue color is placed in the middle of the goal and the red color is placed on the right and left side.This study uses a qualitative research approach with the type of Classroom Action Research (PTK). This research procedure uses two cycles. Cycle I and cycle II, using observation as a form of data collection. The results of observations of the Shooting Color game for Class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Sompak students, in the implementation of the first and second meeting tests in the first (first) cycle, were still very lacking. Based on the scores achieved in psychomotor aspect as many as 11 students completed with a percentage of 37%. It was concluded that the first cycle had not been successful and continued in the second cycle. In the second cycle, students experienced an increase by obtaining a completeness percentage of 21 students with a percentage of 70% and included in the good categor
Penerapan Program Bimbingan Belajar Berbasis Literasi dan Numerasi dalam Meningkatkan Minat dan Motivasi Belajar Siswa di Sekolah Dasar
Tutoring plays an important role in the development of children's learning, because indirectly learning outside of school has a considerable impact and influences student learning motivation. With the existence of a tutoring program that focuses on Literacy & Numeracy, it is hoped that it can increase students' interest and interest in learning and motivate students to be aware of the importance of education in the future. So that the existence of a potential-based community service program (PMBP) will increase opportunities for us students of Ikip Budi Utomo Malang in the field of education by holding a Literacy & Numeracy-based tutoring program that aims to increase student interest and motivation in learning.
In this community service research, our focus is on Jatisari village children. with the research method that is descriptive qualitative method. Based on the results of the research after carrying out an analysis of the evaluation of activities, the tutoring activity program has a very significant impact such as increasing understanding of learning, children are more active and creative in discussing and asking questions and increasing interest in participating in tutoring activities based on Literacy & Numeracy
Respect Education sebagai Upaya Pencegahan Bullying pada Remaja Usia 11-13 Tahun
Bullying behavior is behavior that is carried out repeatedly by a group of students who have power over weak students and results in displeasure or hurting other students. Cases of bullying often occur in school-age children and sometimes teachers or school authorities are not aware of bullying in their schools. AL - ULUM INTEGRATED ISLAMIC SMP is an educational unit with a junior high school level in Wajak, Kec. Wajak, Kab. Malang, East Java. In the 2021/2022 school year there is 1 study group in each study class with a total of 106 students. Based on the results of interviews with the counseling teacher and the Deputy Head of Curriculum, it was found that there had never been any outreach activities related to respect education to prevent bullying in the school environment. This is one of the factors underlying the holding of respect education counseling at IT AL-ULUM Middle School. The community service method implemented is outreach and counseling with the target of school residents, especially teachers and students of SMP IT AL-ULUM Wajak. Respect education socialization and outreach activities that have been carried out can provide knowledge and understanding to students and teachers at IT AL-ULUM Wajak Middle School. The IT AL-ULUM Middle school school gave a positive response to the respect education counseling conducted by IKIP Budi Utomo. Community service activities in the form of respect education counseling can run smoothly and have a positive impact on IT AL-ULUM Wajak Middle School, especially teachers and students
