    INVENTARISASI EKTOPARASIT PADA KEPITING BAKAU (Scylla serrata) YANG DIBUDIDAYAKAN DI DESA GAMPONG BLANG KOTA BANDA ACEH

    Ectoparasite infection has been known as one of the obstacles in crab cultivated. One of best solution to resolves this problem is use an inventory of ectoparasites in cultivated commodities. This study aims to identify the type, intensity level and prevalence of ectoparasite infection in mangrove crabs cultured in Gampong Blang Village, Banda Aceh City. The study was conducted from February to March 2022. A total of 20 samples of mud crab were collected from cultivators in Gampong Blang Village. Furthermore, ectoparasites were observed on the external organs of the samples under microscope. The results showed that two types of ectoparasites were found in the samples, namely Octolasmis sp. and Tricodina sp. The highest prevalence and intensity of ectoparasites was Octolasmis sp. with a prevalence value of 75% and an intensity of 3.67 ind/head. Water quality parameters measured during sample collection were temperature 32.6oC, pH 7.3, salinity 25.6 ppt and dissolved oxygen (DO) 5.2 mg/L

    Bileh (Rasbora sp.) is a fish with high economic value. So that, the population was decline in its natural habitat due to exploitation activities and environmental perturbation due to human activities. As an action to avoid this fish from extinction, it is necessary to apply domestication activities. This study was conducted to determine the adaptability of bileh fish from Lake Ie Sayang in culture container. The information of this study can be used as an early information for the domestication development of bileh fish. Total each 30 fishes from Lake Ie Sayang are culture in three 10 liter plastic containers. Fish were reared for 28 days and observed the survival rate and mortality of fish per week. Water quality parameters measured include temperature, dissolved oxygen (DO) and pH. The results showed that the fish were able to adapt in the rearing container with the survival and mortality rates at the end of the rearing 63.33% and 34.44%, respectively.     Seurukan fish (Osteocilus sp.) is one of the freshwater fishery commodities that continues to be studied and developed, one of which is by increasing the digestibility of feed through the addition of supplements made from local ingredients such as coconut sprouts in commercial feed and getting the best dose for the growth of seurukan fish (Osteocilus sp.). This study used an experimental method with a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments tested were the use of coconut kentos with doses: P0 (control), P1 (5%/kg), P2 (10%/kg feed) and P3 (15%/kg feed).The results of analysis of variance showed that giving coconut kentos to commercial feed had no significant effect (P>0.05) on growth in weight and length, feed conversion ratio, and survival rate of seurukan fish (Osteochilus sp.). The dose of coconut sprout addition was divided into P0 (control), P1 (5%/kg feed), P2 (10%/kg feed), and P3 (14%/kg feed). The results showed that the dose of P2 (10%/kg feed) resulted in absolute weight growth of 8.63 g, daily length growth rate of 1.18%, conversion ratio feed 2.68% and survival rate 100%

    EFEKTIVITAS MEDIA KULTUR YANG BERBEDA TERHADAP KUALITAS DAN KUANTITAS MAGGOT (Hermetia illucens) SEBAGAI PAKAN ALAMI

    This study aims to determine the effect of using different culture media on the quality and quantity of maggot. This study used a completely randomized design consisting of four treatments and three replications. The culture media used consisted of; P0 (control) = 1000 gr of tofu pulp, P1 = 1000 gr of tofu pulp + 500 gr of bran, P2 = 1000 gr of tofu pulp + 500 gr of tofu pulp, P3 = 1000 gr of tofu pulp + 500 grams of chicken manure. The parameters observed were population, weight, body length and the results of the proximate maggot test. The results of the analysis of variance (ANOVA) showed that the use of different culture media had a significant effect on the quality and quantity of maggot. The best culture media to increase maggot growth was found in P3 with a population value of 23,000 ind, a weight of 0.74 gr, and a length of 15.8 mm. Based on the results of the proximate test, the best maggot quality was also found in P3 which contained a protein content of 32.48%

    Anesthesia is an activity commonly performed in aquaculture to reduce stress on fish seeds during transportation or for other routine handling. Sodium bicarbonate is an anesthetic agent that has been used in aquaculture on several types of fish, but has not been tested on gouramy (Osphronemus gouramy, Lac.). This study aims to determine the effect of using sodium bicarbonate in anesthesia of gouramy seeds. This study was an experimental study using a completely randomized design with four treatments and three replications for each treatment, namely treatment A (without adding sodium bicarbonate), B (5 g/L), C (10 g/L), D (15 g/L) and E (20 g/L). The results showed that sodium bicarbonate could be used as an anesthetic agent for gouramy seeds with the best dose in treatment E (20 g/L). In treatment E (20 g/L), the induction time for gouramy seeds was very sort, less than 3 minutes. Fast induction time could prevent stress on the fish due to anesthesia

    Penelitian ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis dan prevalensi ektoparasit yang menginfeksi ikan Koi Hias (Cyprinus rubrofuscus). Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik deskriptif kuantitatif, dengan teknik pengambilan sampel secara purposive sampling. Sample diperoleh dari kolam usaha FISHTOPIA dan selanjutnya dilakukan pemeriksaan Ektoparasit di Laboratorium Parasit Stasiun Karantina Ikan Penegendalian Mutu (SKIPM) Aceh, yang berlokasi di Jln. Bandara Lama Sultan Iskandar Muda, Kota Banda Aceh. Data yang telah diperolehselanjutnyadianalisismenggunakanpendekatanrumusCameronuntukmenentukantingkat prevalensi ektoprasit. Hasil penelitian ini menujukkan terdapat 2 jenis ektoparsit yang menginfeksi sampel yaitu Argulus sp. dan Dactylogyrus sp., dengan tingkat prevalensi secara berurutan sebesar 40% dan 6,7%.     Komposisi senyawa organic dalam media tumbuh cacing sutra merupakan salah satu faktor yang mendukung proses budidayanya. Studi menggunakan material organic yang berbeda menggunakan fases sapi, kambing dan bebek menunjukan perbedaan yang cukup nyata dibandingkan variable kontrol. Perbandingan jumlah cacing sutra setelah proses budidaya dibandingkan sebelumnya menunjukkan peningkatan jumlah populasinya mencapai 2,31,3,67,4,22 dan 2,79 kali lipat secara berturut-turut untuk variable P0, P1, P2 dan P3. Kondisi tersebut turut didukung dengan data nilai signifikansinya lebih kecil dari 0,05 dari proses analisis menggunakan metode ANOVA untuk data sistem RAL. Parameter pendukungnya seperti pH (6,33-7,30) dan suhu (26,6-30oC) juga menunjukkan data yang relatif sama antar perlakuan serta berada pada rentang yang baikberdasarkan perbandingannya dengan data standar. Kondisi tersebut memperlihatkan limbah organic yang diaplikasi pada penelitian ini memiliki potensi besar untuk diaplikasikan dalam skala yang lebih luas untuk peningkatan nilai intrinsiknya

    Limbah sedimen tambak merupakan sisa pakan dan feses organisme air yang mengendap di dasar tambak selama proses budidaya berlangsung. Sedimen tersebut secara umum menjadi permasalahan besar dalam budidaya karena dapat mengeluarkan zat yang berbahaya bagi organisme air seperti amonia, nitrit/nitrat, dan lain-lain. Zat tersebut seyogyanya merupakan unsur hara yang sangat dibutuhkan oleh tanaman, sehingga dapat dimanfaatkan secara maksimal untuk tujuan tersebut. Pengomposan menggunakan limbah sedimen tambak sebagai bahan baku utama disertai limbah ampas tebu dan rumput basah telah dilakukan di Gampong Pasi Pinang, Meulaboh, Aceh Barat. Proses tersebut berlangsung melalui edukasi dan demonstrasi proses pengolahan pupuk kompos. Mayoritas peserta yang mengikuti memahami konsep dan pelaksanaannya dengan baik, sehingga dapat dilanjutkan secara berkesinambungan secara mandiri untuk mengelola limbah di sekitarnya.

    This research was conducted to analyze the water physical and chemical parameters of Ie Sayang Lake for fish culture development area using floating net cages. The observations of water physical and chemical parameters were finds out from April to June 2021 at four stations. The recorded data of water physic-chemical parameters included temperature, current velocity, dissolved oxygen, water depth, pH and turbidity. The data obtained then scored by matching the data values with the criteria for the suitability of waters for fish culture in floating net cage. The results showed that the condition of the water physical and chemical parameters in Lake Ie Sayang is not suitable to be developed as a fish culture area using floating net cage. The water parameter values during research namely temperatur (30,1oC to 31,9oC), current velocity (15 to 19,5 cm/s), dissolved oxygen (2,86 to 5,25 mg/l), water depth (1,08 to 1,93 m), pH (6,13 to 6,35) and water tubidity (0,47 to 0,58 m)
