Hand Gesture Recognition using Adaptive Network Based Fuzzy Inference System and K-Nearest Neighbor

    Get PDF
The purpose of the study was to investigate hand gesture recognition. The hand gestures of American Sign Language are divided into three categories—namely, fingers gripped, fingers facing upward, and fingers facing sideways—using the adaptive network-based fuzzy inference system. The goal of the classification was to speed up the recognition process, since the process of recognizing the hand gesture takes a longer time. All pictures in all of the categories were recognized using K-nearest neighbor. The procedure involved taking real-time pictures without any gloves or censors. The findings of the study show that the best accuracy was obtained when the epochs score was 10. The proposed approach will result in more effective recognition in a short amount of time

One of the regencies in Madura, namely Bangkalan, with its local wisdom and beautiful landscapes has the potential to become a tourism center. However, there may be a decrease in the number of visits caused by some factors. The research used the time series method to build a prediction model for tourist attraction entrance tickets. The model development aimed to estimate the number of tourist attraction visits in the future. The right model was needed to get the best prediction results. Least square, Holt-Winter, Seasonal Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average (SARIMA), and Rolling were chosen as the models. Data collection related to the number of tourist objects was carried out directly at the Tourism Office to obtain valid data. Using data on visitors to tourist attractions in Bangkalan Regency from 2015 to 2019, the results of measuring errors using Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) and Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) are obtained. The error measurement results show that the Holt-Winter model has the lowest error rate of 5% and RMSE of 307,1198. Based on these calculations, the Holt-Winter model is the best model for determining tourist attraction entrance tickets. The ranking of the error measurement results from the highest to the lowest are Holt-Winter, Rolling, SARIMA, and Least Square methods

The rapid development of tourism has caused many tourists to be interested in enjoying it. Madura Island is a small archipelago and is part of East Java. Madura consists of 4 districts, namely Bangkalan district, Sampang district, Pamekasan district, and Sumenep district. With the number of districts owned, it creates a diversity of tourism. The development of the tourism sector must also be accompanied by the development of information technology. Utilization of technology can improve accommodation in supporting tourist destination services by designing an android-based application for searching for objects supporting Madura tourism destinations. The purpose of this research is to create an object search application that supports tourist destinations and serves as a medium for information about tourist locations on the island of Madura, making it more straightforward for tourists/users to enjoy their vacation. The stages of research carried out using ADDIE Model include knowing the system requirements, analysis and design, Development, implementation, and Evaluation. The results of the study are in the form of applications by detecting supporting objects including places of interest, gas stations, lodging, religion, culinary and health. It is expected that users when visiting Madura tourism will be easy, fun, and can enjoy their holidays

The dormitory is one of the facilities provided with the aim of helping students to get a place to live because some of them come from distant places. The Trunojoyo Madura University dormitory has regulations that serve as a place for the process of character education, spiritual deepening, moral improvement. With these regulations, plus the boarding house is a conducive, economical, and strategic place to stay making many students interested in being able to live there. The problem is that each semester change is carried out by the selection of dorm residents and so far it is still done manually by way of discussion of each individual. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to help the board by building a decision support system in determining residents who are still eligible to live in a dormitory and provide opportunities for other students to live in a dormitory. We develop systems based on mobile applications. TOPSIS method (Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution) is implemented as a multi criteria decision making method with four main criteria including routine absence, non-routine absence, violation and notes. The final results of this decision support system are ranks and colors that indicate the status of boarding residents. Ranking starts from the top (1) to the bottom (216) accompanied by a status of green to red. The color status is divided into 3 namely green (safe), yellow (vulnerable), and red (issued). From 216 boarders we took 10 samples of dormitory data for testing. The results of trials with 10 data samples by applying the TOPSIS method obtained an accuracy of 90%.</jats:p

The Smart Market application is a web application that useful for making easier of traders and consumers to carry out buying and selling activities in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. In advances technology, it is very relevant to implement website-based buying and selling which is quite easy to reach. Hence these activities become more practical and efficient by online without leave the house and it can be seen by the wider community. Another advantage is that the public can see product price updates so that they can find out the price and prevent the market price of raw materials which tends to fluctuate and become a big government homework that never ends. With the increasingly competitive market competition, the Smart Market system was built to maintain the existence of traditional markets and retain customers who tend to like to shop online. The system has been built by proposing research methodologies including, analysis, design, implementation, and testing. The system has been tested to see the ability using black box techniques and it is found that all features have been running well in accordance with the expected results

The tourism agent information system is an information system that brings together people who need tourism agents with tourism agent providers. This information system contains offers of tourism packages in several well-known tours that are often visited, this system is also available with request packages which will be directed to the admin to confirm with the desired request package. This system does not only contain offers about tour packages but also provides information and education about these tours, making it easier for users to choose the desired tour packages because they have received education or an overview of the tour. The development stages implemented include surveys, needs analysis, dedication, and implementation. Surveys and needs analysis serve as stages used in finding target users and their needs. User Interface Design is used to make user interaction as simple and efficient as possible, in terms of achieving user goals or what is often referred to as user-centered design. Conversion of the user interface design is done by choosing the right programming language on the web and generating an information system
