Logistics’ place in the global administration of the product’s life cycle

If logistics can be considered an assembly of methods, functions, and ways used by a company with the purpose of giving clients the goods taken at a low price and in a period of time according to clients’ expectations, taking into consideration the quantities settled by contract, we can say that, in a company, the logistics functionality contributes to coordination the offer by requiring the lowest costs, based on some strategic and tactics plans as well as keeping qualitative relations between suppliers and clients. Logistics can be said to represent the optimization of the company’s both fundamental cycles: the cycle-client (from order to delivery) and the project-cycle (from conception to use). From this point of view, this is an essential component of both the strategy and the companies’ organization. Some companies in West Europe have moved or created new production plants in Centre and East Europe, mainly in the new member states of the European Union (NOKIA from Germany to Romania, RENAULT from France to Romania etc.). This is based on some detailed research on the importance that a functional logistics of industrial platforms has taking into consideration both raw materials and clients’ satisfaction, who, more often than not is far from the production place.client, distribution, performance, supplier, supply.

The attribute of compatibility between the process of organization and the function of human resources

The evolution of the organizational forms has seen quite dynamic in recent years, registered trends being observed in the enterprise subsystems. The human resources function, a subsystem in continuous development since the 1990s, is subjected to changes such as decentralization, hierarchical reduction and resizing, as a consequence of its missions delegation both inside and outside the organization. Approach: These changes are exacerbated by the emergence of new techniques of information and communication (NTIC), which change the context in which human resources function evolves. The need to adapt the development of human resources function to the enterprises’ strategy causes a strategic alignment requirement. Results: The functions' content will also be modified, in the direction of what may designate e-Human Resources, characterized by the increasing role of the Intranet, the use of the NTIC in supporting activities such as e-recruiting and e-learning. Conclusion/Recommendations: The article highlights the need for consistency between the process of organization and the function of human resources, the necessary compatibility in the sense that it is not possible to examine the evolution of an enterprise independent of the characteristics of the enterprises the organization is part of.peer-reviewe

Helsinki corridors : ways of European expansion and development

Efficient distribution of human and goods transport has always been an important element in maintaining the economic systems cohesion. Together with the economic and technological development, the purposes to attain this goal have considerably evolved. The integration of the Centre, Eastern and South-Eastern European countries’ infrastructure in the European transport networks has as a main goal the promotion of networks’ interconnection and interoperability. This is done through concentrating upon some specific infrastructure routes located on the trajectory of 10 pan-European transport corridors, which pass through geographical zones in many countries, some of them EU members, and others undergoing a process of negotiation (Turkey). Pan-European Corridors will have immediate effects like: the growth of investments in infrastructure thanks to European funds – for developing countries, this will represent an important part as it welcomes a development of the economy, especially in crises; the favouring of conditions for the functioning and administration of globalization; the growth of cooperation both among Eastern countries and between such countries and Western countries; conditions for the recovery of economic differences between West and East; conditions for the recovery of the development in accordance with the policy of European countries and other candidate countries.peer-reviewe

Putting Internet-of-Things at the service of sustainable agriculture. Case study: Sysagria

    Get PDF
Continuous growth of global population requires a better management of food resources: increasing productivity, maximizing crop yields, reducing losses (water, energy, chemicals), protecting the environment, preventing plant disease, minimizing the manpower. Since the mid-1980s when precision agriculture has its roots, the new concept could rely on advancement in electronics, agriculture research and emerging technologies. Syswin Solutions has been focused on Internet-of-Things, since it seems to be more adequate compared to drones or satellite imagery because it offers much more complete data from sensors placed directly in the cultivated environment. Thus, was born SysAgria, a system that provides comprehensive, real-time environmental information and development conditions at various phenological stages of crops, fruit trees, vines and vegetables, on the basis of which proactive treatment, planned fertilization, sowing and harvesting can be achieved. The system monitors the vital parameters of soil, air and light and identifies prototypes through a series of intelligent algorithms that analyze the data obtained and correlates them with a relevant history of the culture. Built using very low power consumption circuits, the system is energetically independent since it uses solar power and optimized algorithms for communication. Data is available anywhere in the cloud, thus the farmer can act immediately if parameters change. Syswin Solutions has five systems under test in real operating conditions, in different places around Romania, in greenhouse and in field, for monitoring cereals and vegetables. The paper presents the SysAgria system and some eloquent results of the monitoring. Soil sensors placed at different depths revealed possible water absorbtion problems. The automation of the ventilation in the greenhouse has been shown to be beneficial for plant development

Attempts to quantify the human assets of an organization happened the first time in the US in 1960, when it was tried to end it in their balance sheet. This idea of quantification started to analyze the differences in value between similarities or changes made in time by the same organization and the premises had the decisive contribution of human activities. The practical consequences of the current research on human activities were not eloquent. In recent years the problems of quantification has been resumed by the focus on intangible elements of the organization, without accounting field to find a satisfactory solution to all parties. New Organizational Forms and their Influence on Human Resources Function

Dynamics of organizational forms manifests to the enterprise level, and to its subsystems. Human resources function is subject of optical and content changes that are exacerbated by the emergence of NTIC. To be able to promote change, human resource function should adopt a structure best suited to strategic alignment requirements. The article highlights the need for consistency between enterprise organization and human resources function, which must be experiencing the strategic changes within the organization and NTIC influence and promote within the assembly. The issue of organizational structure was the object of numerous studies as principles of value channel to its own activities. In this regard, emphasis should focus on the activity of knowledge management, cultural and organizational change, leadership, motivation and personnel achievement, and other activities to be only supervised.New organizational forms, emanagement, new techniques of information and communication, compatibility, human resources function.
