Public need accurate information concerning problem, education performance indicator and performance indicator that matching with future and public demand. Local government have to can shows the ability and willingness to compile performance indicator of education local-department. Indicator Performance of education local-department have to depict commitment seriously of local government in educating local people. Therefore, this research formulate research question: How improving performance indicator of education local-department at Kebumen Regency that matching with future and public demand? Research with qualitative method have been done. The result of this research are: first, indicator performance compilation of education local-department has to improve in harmony with Medium Level Development Planning (RPJM) Kebumen Regency and key performance indicator for management education which is released by Domestic Department (Departemen Dalam Negeri). Second, education local-department can develop indicators that show incresing of quality and relevance, impact indicators or other additional indicator to assure efficacy activities and programs. Third, training and technical assistance are needed for compilation workplan base on performance to improve knowledge and skilled of governmental officers at education local- department. This is as one of the way to develop performance indicator on education local-department more specific, unique and have high competitiveness

Mireille Guiliano. French Women Don’t Get Fat: The Secret of Eating for Pleasure. London: Chatto & Windus, 2005 [Book review]

Frankly, it's hard to imagine that French women "get" anything in the grabby way the word is used in the title of Mireille Guiliano's book. <i>French Women Don’t Get Fat</i> is a discordant appellation for this self-help / autobiography crossover, its bluntness misrepresentative of Guilianoís carefully modulated plea for restrained pleasure. Or is that pleasured restraint? The <i>je ne sais quoi</i> of that most tantalising of prospective existences—"<i>French Women</i>"—uncomfortably receives the incongruity. Continental accoutrement of apple-pie American nous, the title's claim is bald, brassy and self- satisfied, but the title's subject represents pure aspiration. <i>French Women Don’t Get Fat</i> is the new transatlantic fusion

Pregnane-10,2-carbolactones from a Hawaiian Marine Sponge in the Genus <i>Myrmekioderma</i>

Four new pregnanes, 3β,4β-dihydroxy-17-methyl-17α-pregna-5,13-diene-10,2-carbolactone (<b>1</b>), 6β-chloro-3β-hydroxy-17-methyl-17α-pregna-4,13-diene-10,2-carbolactone (<b>2</b>), 3β-hydroxy-6β-methoxy-17-methyl-17α-pregna-4,13-diene-10,2-carbolactone (<b>3</b>), and 3β,6β-dihydroxy-17-methyl-17α-pregna-4,13-diene-10,2-carbolactone (<b>4</b>), were isolated from an undescribed species of <i>Myrmekioderma</i> Ehlers along with the known pregnane carbolactone (<b>5</b>). The structures of the new compounds were determined by spectroscopic methods and comparison with previously described compounds. Compound <b>5</b> showed almost 4-fold activation of pregnane X receptor, while <b>2</b> inhibited BACE1 with an IC50 value of 82 μM

Classification accuracy (assignment risk) of the standard DNA-barcoding fragment (COI) for 51 species of Antarctic sponges.

<p>Species were taxonomically identified using morphological characters and the assignment risk was assessed using leave-one-out validation. The risk values from different runs were range standardized to make them comparable. In general, a query species is assigned to the candidate species of minimum risk. Candidate species refer to sequences in the DNA-barcoding database used to classify undetermined (query) sequences. Query species are the true species of the queried sequence used to test the classification accuracy of the COI for sponge determination. The Heatplot was done in R using the results obtained from SSA.</p

COI maximum likelihood phylogeny of Antarctic sponges (in bold face) belonging Order Hadromerida, Haplosclerida, Halichondrida, Spirophorida, Poecilosclerida (non-chelae bearing).

<p>For visualization, subtrees containing Antarctic sponges were pruned from the complete phylogenetic tree that included all sequences analyzed (i.e. GenBank + sequences from this study). Orders are indicated for each subtree. Bootstrap support is given near each branch of the tree. Specimens originally classified as a different species using morphology and reclassified after DNA-barcoding or presenting molecular-morphological discrepancies are in red (see <a href="http://www.plosone.org/article/info:doi/10.1371/journal.pone.0127573#pone.0127573.t001" target="_blank">Table 1</a>). Specimens belonging the Spirophorida were sequenced for this study but were already published by Szitenberg et al. 2013.</p

Structures and Potential Antitumor Activity of Sesterterpenes from the Marine Sponge Hyrtios communis

    No full text
The extract of marine sponge Hyrtios communis was found to inhibit activation of the transcription factor hypoxia-inducible factor-1 (HIF-1) in T47D human breast tumor cells. Bioassay-guided isolation led to the identification of six new (<b>1</b>–<b>6</b>) and five previously reported (<b>7</b>–<b>11</b>) sesterterpene analogues and two unrelated sesterterpenes. Two new sesterterpenes, thorectidaeolide A (<b>1</b>) and 4-acetoxythorectidaeolide A (<b>2</b>), and luffariellolide (<b>11</b>) were among the most potent inhibitors of hypoxia (1% O2)-induced HIF-1 activation (IC50 values of 3.2, 3.5, and 3.6 μM, respectively). Luffariellolide (<b>11</b>) exhibited a significant level of cytotoxicity that mirrored its HIF-1 inhibitory activity. Neither compound <b>1</b>, compound <b>2</b>, nor any of the other less active sesterterpenes suppressed breast tumor T47D or MDA-MB-231 cell viability
