    Salah satu faktor penyebab kematian pesut di alam, khususnya di sungai danpantai, adalah karena Baling-Baling kapal. Penelitian ini ditujukan untukmengetahui pengaruh lalulintas berbagai jenis kapal terhadap perilaku muculpesut ke permukaan. Pengumpulan data yang berkaitan dengan perilaku munculdilakukan dengan metoda jelajah dan ad-libitum (Altman, 1974). Dari 207 jamwaktu kontak dengan pesut, pengaruh lalu lintas kapal di sungai dan di lautterhadap perilaku muncul pesut berbeda. Di sungai lalu lintas kapal semua jeniskapal mempengaruhi frekuensi kemunculan. Sedangkan di laut, hanya kapalberkekuatan > 40 HP saja yang mempengaruhi kemunculan. Di sungai, semakinbanyak individu dalam kelompok menunjukkan semakin rendah frekuensikemunculannya. Sebaliknya, di laut semakin banyak jumlah individu dalamkelompok menunjukkan semakin tinggi frekuensi kemunculan. Semakin jauh jarakkapal dengan pesut, frekuensi kemunculannya semakin tinggi

    Activities off-road dirt bike into activities that provide satisfaction and pleasure for the perpetrators, but these activities have an impact on the presence of a groundcover vegetation cover the forest floor.The purpose of this study was to determine the composition and structure of the undergrowth around the track off-road dirt bike as the impact of off-road activities of undergrowth.The method used in this research is quantitative method. The data collection techniques using the method of squares size 1x1 meter placed on the track lane area, the edge of the lane path and the area that is not interrupted by off-road trail activities.Data analysis was performed by calculating to determine the dominant plant species under indicated by the value of the SDR.Based on research that has been done, there were 26 species of plants were found at the bottom of the sampling.The dominant plant species below shows that these types are resistant to the activity of the off-road trail.The dominant species groundcoverfound are Eupatorium riparium regal. Meanwhile, species groundcoverthat can survive with the activities of off-road trail, such as Cynodon dactylon, Eupatorium riparium, Alternanthera sp. and Eupatorium colonum.     The Public Participation Shifting of Environmental Impact Assessment During Covid-19 Outbreak

    Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) is not only about development and protecting environment, but also about public participation during all the process. It is not an exaggeration that public participation is claimed as one of the key indicators of the effectiveness of EIA. Therefore, even in pandemic conditions while development still must go on at the same time, public participation can be avoided in the EIA process. In a wide range of international arrangements and national regulation, there are several guidance in accommodating public participation such as the Aarhus Convention 1998 and Indonesian national regulation. This article compares and analyses those legal procedures in mitigating unexpected conditions. The result shows that both of them are still feasible to be applied even in abnormal circumstances. Some barriers are identified especially related to implementing advanced technology. Therefore, how these aspirations are conveyed and accepted must be done in various alternative ways

    To detect the effect of paraquat dichloride to disrupt sex differentiation of  green turtle  (Chelonia mydas) embryos were examined. Eggs from the green turtle were incubated under temperature of 26 ± 0,5oC and sprayed with paraquat concentration of 58, 125, 270, and 580 mg/kg from day 24 (Stage 22) until day 60 (Stage 29) every two days. Aquades were sprayed in control groups. The gonad was isolated then fixed in Bouin's solution to make histological preparation by paraffin method and  haematoxilin-eosin staining. The slice were observed under 400x and 1000x magnification of compound microscope. The result indicated that paraquat dichlorides were highly significant to viability (P £ 0.01) decreasing and significantly influent to sex differentiation (P £ 0.05) which signated by increasing percentage of gonadal intersex of embryos. Hence, paraquat dichloride is capable to increase 71,43% number intersex embryos
