Determinants of Real House Price Dynamics

We explore the dynamics of real house prices by estimating serial correlation and mean reversion coefficients from a panel data set of 62 metro areas from 1979-1995. The serial correlation and reversion parameters are then shown to vary cross sectionally with city size, real income growth, population growth, and real construction costs. Serial correlation is higher in metro areas with higher real income, population growth and real construction costs. Mean reversion is greater in large metro areas and faster-growing cities with lower construction costs. Empirically, substantial overshooting of prices can occur in high real construction cost areas, which have high serial correlation and low mean reversion, such as the coastal cities of Boston, New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles and San Diego.

Why do immigrants support an anti-immigrant party? : Russian-Germans and the Alternative for Germany

By reaching a vote share of 12.6 percent in the 2017 federal election, the Alternative for Germany (AfD) ended Germany’s rare status as a Western European polity lacking a significant Populist Radical Right Party (PRRP). Some of this support comes from a group not usually expected to vote for PRRPs: immigrant-origin voters. Recent survey data shows high levels of support for the AfD especially within the group of Russian-Germans – immigrants from the former Soviet Union and its successor states. What motivates these immigrant-origin voters to support an anti-immigrant party? This article argues that support for the AfD – besides immigration-related preferences – can be best explained by their levels of assimilation or incorporation for different domains regarding the mainstream German society. Der Einsatz von WikiWebs in Organisationen: Überlegungen aus systemtheoretischer Perspektive

"WikiWebs sind technische Plattformen, die kollaborative Kommunikation ermöglichen und erleichtern. Die Besonderheit dieser neuen 'Social Software'-Applikation, die zusammen mit anderen Anwendungen unter dem Sammelbegriff des 'Web 2.0' firmiert, liegt einerseits in der Möglichkeit zum Abruf, Neueinstellen, zur Verknüpfung und Veränderung von Beiträgen, selbst wenn diese zuvor von anderen erstellt worden waren. Darüber hinaus halten die Wiki-Anwendungen eine Historie der Veränderungen eines jeden Beitrags vor, was die Beobachtung von Entscheidungen möglich macht. Prominentestes Beispiel ist die gemeinschaftlich erstellte Web-Enzyklopädie Wikipedia. Zunehmend finden Wiki-Technologien aber auch in Unternehmen Verwendung, um den Erfahrungsaustausch zwischen Mitarbeitern zu befördern. Die Theorie sozialer Systeme nach Luhmann (1984; 2000; Seidl & Becker, 2006) versteht Organisationen als Systeme, die durch die Kommunikation von Entscheidungen konstituiert werden. Bezieht man dies auf Wiki-Technologien, so ist in theoretischer Hinsicht zu vermuten, dass Wiki-basierte Kommunikationsplattformen das Konstitutionsverhältnis zwischen Organisation und Entscheidungskommunikation in dreierlei Hinsicht prägen: 1. Wiki-basierte Formen der Kommunikation schaffen eine (empirische) Beobachtbarkeit der Emergenz von Organisation. Editierungshistorie und Diskussionsseiten schaffen ein Meta-Narrativ. In diesem verdichten sich Kommunikationen zu Entscheidungen, dem Konstituens der Organisation (Robichaud, Giroux & Taylor, 2004). 2. Dadurch ermöglichen Wikis auch neue Formen der Beobachtbarkeit der Kontingenz dieser Entscheidungen. Während die Hauptfunktion organisationalen Gedächtnisses die Diskriminierung zwischen Vergessen und Erinnern ist (vgl. Luhmann, 2000), schaffen WikiWebs eine vollständige Erinnerbarkeit der Entscheidungskommunikation bezüglich einzelner Beiträge. 3. Schließlich lässt sich die Notwendigkeit einer Rekalibrierung der kommunikativen Legitimation von Entscheidung ableiten. Während in konventionellem Organisationsgeschehen Entscheidungen zunächst getroffen und oftmals erst post hoc rationalisiert werden (vgl. Cyert & March, 1963), wird in Wiki-basierten Plattformen Entscheidungskommunikation ad hoc sichtbar: Dies wiederum verstärkt mutmaßlich den provokativen, Widerspruch erzeugenden Charakter kommunizierter Entscheidungen, was sich beispielartig in sogenannten 'Edit Wars' bestätigt." Analyse und Darstellung wesentlicher Bestandteile von Projektabwicklungensformen im Bauwesen

Bauprojekte sind geprägt durch Entscheidungen, die im Verlaufe des Projektes getroffen werden müssen. Zu Beginn eines Projektes muss die passende Vergabeform gewählt werden. Nach der Auswahl der passenden Auftragsnehmer müssen Verträge verhandelt und die dafür passenden Bauvertragsarten ausgewählt werden. Die Projektorganisation wird zum Teil durch den gewählten Bauvertrag mitbestimmt. Ein Bauprojekt lässt sich somit nicht auf eine Bauvertragsart allein reduzieren. Es müssen sämtliche Aspekte der sogenannten Projektabwicklung beachtet werden. Der folgende Beitrag gibt einen Überblick zu möglichen Elementen der Projektabwicklung.
