    This study aims to determine the implementation of early childhood education programs (PAUD) in a daycare in the city of Makassar, which includes; (1) description of the components of the PAUD program implementation in terms of the fulfillment of the education component at the input stage, the stage of the process and the outcome stage; (2) map of the component of PAUD program implementation in review of rationalization in compliance with PAUD Standards, Minimum Service Standards, Ministry of Education and Culture Policy on the implementation of ECD and eligibility criteria established; (3) the success of PAUD program in terms of achievement of early childhood development. This type of research is a qualitative description with evaluation method, Model Countenance, which includes evaluation of antecedent’s, transactions, and outcomes. Research subjects Unit PAUD, Educators (PAUD Teachers/ Teacher Assistant/ Teacher Young Companion) and Education Personnel (Principal/ Chairman/ Management and Administrative Staff). Data collection techniques with observation, interview and documentation. Data analysis with interactive analysis model. The result of the research show that the “Jasmine” Dharma WanitaPersatuan of the State University of Makassar (TPA “Melati” DWP UNM) as a whole the component of management, facilities and infrastructure, educational staff and instructional support, learning planning, learning implementation, learning evaluation and the level of development achievement children are in the “good” category while the learner, educator, financing, curriculum are in the “less” category. Component development program “very good” category, and the assessment of sufficient category learning and supervision of learning “less” category. NurulFikri Makassar Islamic School Makassar – Full day Program (SIT NurulFikri Makassar- Full day Program) as a whole is categorized as “very good”. Among the components of management, educators, learning support, program development, learning planning, implementation of learning, learning evaluation, learning assessment and the level of child development achievement categorized as “excellent”, students, facilities and infrastructure, education staff, curriculum, “good“ and financing categorized ”enough”

    An attempt has been made to study and understand Ion funnel technology for improved detection and measurement capabilities of ions originating from small molecules. Different ways to create and study collision induced fragments have been explored and strategies to achieve various kinds of all ions MS/MS have been discussed. We observed that stability of ions in the system is largely controlled by the funnel exit DC voltage and Rf voltages of the low pressure funnel also contributes to the collision induced dissociation of the ions. An appropriate mix of in source collision energy coupled with Funnel exit DC voltage and low pressure funnel Rf voltage can induce extensive fragmentation of the ions mimicking several stages of MS/MS simultaneously

    Transformation of 17a-methyltestosterone in aquatic-sediment systems

    Two sediment samples that differed with respect to total organic carbon and texture (“sand” and “clay”) were exposed to radio inert 17a-methyltestosterone (MT) or [14C]-radiolabeled 17a-methyltestosterone (14C-MT), under both aerobic and anaerobic conditions, for up to 56 days, to characterize the fate of MT in the aquatic environment. Radio inert MT was quantified by a highly sensitive liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry (LCMS) method and radioactive MT was quantified by HPLC using an in-line flow liquid scintillation counter (LSC). Thedata suggest that MT entering the aquatic environment is converted into metabolites that become tightly associated with the sediment. Half-lives for MT dissipation in the sediment systems ranged from 2-9 days, depending on the sediment type and the presence of oxygen. Sediment type had little effect on MT dissipation. The mineralization of MT under aerobic conditions was low (<9% conversion of MT to CO2)

    Sejalan dengan tantangan pendidikan abad 21, upaya peningkatan keterampilan kognitif seperti berpikir tingkat tinggi menjadi fokus perhatian pendidikan kini. Berpikir tingkat tinggi sebagai keterampilan yang sifatnya dapat dipelajari juga diajarkan, memberi kesempatan pendidikan Indonesia untuk berbenah diri dalam membentuk SDM yang berkemampuan Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS). Namun praktik di lapangan membuktikan, keterampilan ini masih belum dilatihkan dengan baik di sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas penerapan model pembelajaran Science Technology and Society (STS) terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA kelas VII di SMP Negeri 26 Bandung. Rumusan masalah umum penelitian ini, yaitu: bagaimana efektivitas penerapan model pembelajaran Science Technology and Society (STS) terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA kelas VII di SMP Negeri 26 Bandung? Adapun rumusan masalah penelitian secara khusus, yaitu: apakah terdapat peningkatan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa yang signifikan pada aspek menganalisis (C4), aspek mengevaluasi (C5), dan aspek mengkreasi (C6) antara sebelum dan setelah diterapkannya model pembelajaran Science Technology and Society (STS) pada mata pelajaran IPA kelas VII di SMP Negeri 26 Bandung? Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen, dengan desain penelitian One Group Time Series. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui tes bentuk uraian non-objektif (BUNO) dan tes unjuk kerja (produk). Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik Probability Sampling, dengan kategori Cluster Sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa, penerapan model pembelajaran STS efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA pokok bahasan Pencemaran Lingkungan di kelas VII SMP Negeri 26 Bandung. Hal tersebut dibuktikan dengan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan pada skor rata-rata (pre-test = 31,84) ke (post-test = 46,82), dengan (gain = 14,98) setelah diterapkannya model pembelajaran STS. Kata Kunci: Model Pembelajaran Science Technology and Society (STS), Berpikir Tingkat Tinggi, Mata Pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam. In accordance with the challenges of education in the 21st century, efforts to enhance the cognitive skills such as high-order thinking becomes the main focus of education nowadays. High-order thinking as a skill which can be learned in nature is also taught by many people, giving Indonesia's education the opportunities to improve themselves in forming human resources with Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS). But the reality proved that the skill have not been trained properly in school. This research was aimed to describe the effectiveness on the application of Science Technology and Society (STS) learning model towards the enhancement of students' high-order thinking skills in the science subjects of grade VII in SMP Negeri 26 Bandung. The formulation of the problem in this research is: how is the effectiveness on the application of Science Technology and Society (STS) learning model towards the enhancement of high-order thinking skills on the students of grade VII in SMP Negeri 26 Bandung in science subject? The formulation of research problems in particular, is: whether there is a significant increase in the students' high-order thinking skills on the aspects of analyzing (C4), evaluating (C5), and creating (C6) between the prior and after the implementation of Science Technology and Society (STS) learning model on the science subject of grade VII in SMP Negeri 26 Bandung? The research method used is quasi experimental, with the research design of One Group Time Series. The research data was collected through non-objective form of explanation test (BUNO) and performance test (product). The sampling technique used is the probability sampling technique, with cluster sampling category. The results indicated that, the application of STS learning model is effective in enhancing the students' high-order thinking on the science subjects in the discussion of Environmental Pollution on grade VII of SMP Negeri 26 Bandung. This is proved by a significant increase in the mean score of pre-test = 31.84 to post-test = 46.82, with the gain = 14.98 after the application of the STS learning model.     Development and validation of a High performance liquid chromatography- Mass spectrometry method for 17a-methyltestosterone in Aquatic water systems

    17a-Methyltestosterone is used as feed additive to manipulate the gender of fish for aquaculture. Earlier a simple, yet specific and robust validated high performance liquid chromatographic method has been developed for the determination of 17a-methyltestosterone in fish feed. The present work describes a highly sensitive and robust Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry method for the quantitation of 17a-methyltestosterone in aquatic water systems using 17â-hydroxy-3â-methoxyandrost-5-en-7-one as internal standard. The method was validated in the concentration range of 0.2 to 25 ng of 17a-methyltestosterone on column leading to a limit of quantitation of 0.08 ppb or 0.08 mg/L in water, and has potential to increase the limit of detection and quantitation by an order of magnitude, if required

    Physical Feasibility Study of Agroforestry Farm Systems to Support Sustainable Agriculture in Konaweha Sub Watershed of Southeast Sulawesi

    The farming systems in Konaweha watershed are mostly mixed garden that are partly managed intensively as wellas traditionally. The objectives of this research were to identify and classify agroforestry systems that were practicedby farmers, to study the effect of the agroforestry systems on soil properties, hydrological indicators, and erosion,as well as to analyze farm management feasibility of agroforestry systems to establish sustainable agriculturesystem. The study was carried out in Konaweha watershed, Southeast Sulawesi. The results indicated thatagroforestry systems in this area were devided into four types i.e. sylvopastoral-perennial crops with pasture,agrosylvicultural-perennial crops, agrosylvicultural-multystrata systems, and sylvopastoral-multystrata systems.The four types of agroforestry systems significantly increased the soil aggregate stability, soil porosity at 30 cm indepth, organic matter, soil organic carbon, and microorganisms population. In addition, the agroforestry haddecreased runoff and erosion significantly. Therefore, the erosion rate from the four types of agroforestry systemwas below the value of tolerated soil loss (TSL), except that of agrosylvicultural-perennial crops with an elevationof > 30%.     This research was conducted to determine and analyze the influence of sales promotion, trust and e-service quality on online purchasing decisions. This research used quantitative methods. The data collection technique in this research uses a questionnaire. A sample of 190 was carried out using purposive sampling. Multiple linear regression analysis technique. The research results found that sales promotion had a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions, trust had a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions and e-service quality had a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions
