Local well posedness for a linear coagulation equation
In this paper we derive some a priori estimates for a class of linear
coagulation equations with particle fluxes towards large size particles. The
derived estimates allow us to prove local well posedness for the considered
equations. Some regularizing effects exhibited by the equations in the particle
distributions for large particle sizes are discussed in detail.Comment: 71 page
Organizational Citizenship and Teacher Evaluation: Using the T-TESS to Promote OCB and Improve Student Outcomes
Within the reach of institutional climate, organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) has received much attention in the business and psychological literature as a constructive mechanism designed to enhance group efficiency (Bateman & Organ, 1983; Organ, 1988; Podsakoff, Ahearn, & McKenzie, 1997). The essential definition indicates that organizational citizenship behavior refers to going beyond the requirements of one’s job with the understanding that taking such actions benefits the greater good (i.e., the company or school), with no expectation of reward or recognition for the action(s). Subsequent studies investigated OCB and its possible application in educational environs as a tool for improving school efficiency, climate, and student outcomes. The literature revealed that in schools where collectively high levels of faculty and administrator OCB existed, there have been improvements to school climate, school effectiveness, and student outcomes.
In this paper, the researchers argue that the newly implemented teacher evaluation system used in the Texas public school system, the Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS), may be leveraged as an effective planning and professional development tool to strategically and positively impact levels of OCB among the faculty, and by extension, to improve pedagogical practice, school climate, and increase student achievement
Multiquantum well spin oscillator
A dc voltage biased II-VI semiconductor multiquantum well structure attached
to normal contacts exhibits self-sustained spin-polarized current oscillations
if one or more of its wells are doped with Mn. Without magnetic impurities, the
only configurations appearing in these structures are stationary. Analysis and
numerical solution of a nonlinear spin transport model yield the minimal number
of wells (four) and the ranges of doping density and spin splitting needed to

Non-relativistic bound states at finite temperature (II): the muonic hydrogen
We illustrate how to apply modern effective field theory techniques and
dimensional regularization to factorise the various scales which appear in QED
bound states at finite temperature. We focus here on the muonic hydrogen atom.
Vacuum polarization effects make the physics of this atom at finite temperature
very close to that of heavy quarkonium states. We comment on the implications
of our results for these states in the quark gluon plasma. In particular, we
estimate the effects of a finite charm quark mass in the dissociation

Self-Similarity for Ballistic Aggregation Equation
We consider ballistic aggregation equation for gases in which each particle
is iden- ti?ed either by its mass and impulsion or by its sole impulsion. For
the constant aggregation rate we prove existence of self-similar solutions as
well as convergence to the self-similarity for generic solutions. For some
classes of mass and/or impulsion dependent rates we are also able to estimate
the large time decay of some moments of generic solutions or to build some new
classes of self-similar solutions
