La reciente condena de Liu Xiaobo, prominente disidente chino, se ha producido en medio de un conflicto de grandes intereses empresariales y políticos, en el marco de un ciberespacio altamente estratégico. Este análisis se propone, primero, explicar la relevancia de la detención de Liu Xiaobo y su importancia en relación con el activismo chino de significado político y social de los últimos años. This article describes the mystery of a long lost codex of Archimedes that resurfaced briefly at the turn of the last century by Johan Ludwig Heiberg. Long enough for the Danish historian of mathematics Heiberg to identify, photograph and eventually transcribe “The Method” and several other works by Archimedes of considerable mathematical interest. In 1879 Heiberg completed his dissertation, Quaestiones Archimedeae, devoted to Archimedes’ life, works, and transmission of his texts.Este artículo describe el misterio de un códice de Arquímedes perdido hace mucho tiempo que reapareció brevemente a principios del siglo pasado de la mano de Johan Ludwig Heiberg. La concesión del Premio Nobel de la Paz 2010 al disidente Liu Xiaobo plantea candentes cuestiones sobre la realidad política china y la relación de Pekín con el exterior. El presente análisis se propone, en primer lugar, contextualizar la figura de Liu Xiaobo, ganador del Premio Nobel de la Paz 2010. En segundo término, intenta explicar el sentido de la brecha ideológica del desencuentro con Occidente del que ha hablado Pekín como consecuencia del premio. Finalmente, reflexiona sobre el impacto que puede tener el premio en la política interna de China
