    This research purposed to know how the density of phylum echinodermata in intertidal zona pantai indah Tanjung Kramat. Gorontalo city. This research is descriptive kuantitative, research with survey methode do observe the data directly. Time of research in two days in night time, taking sample of objects doing in all of points of samples using kuadran size 20x20 meter. Each of classes spesies of objects in kuadran, counted and noted then entried in the place. Identification doing in the lab. The result of the research shown that phylum echinodermata with the highest density index is ophiuroidea, with density indeks 0,375indv/m2 and the lowst is population of holoturoidea with density indeks 0,007 indv/m2

    Olele village in Kabila Bone district is among the villages located in the southern coastal area of the province of Gorontalo. The majority of people there work as fishermen and farmers. Nike fish (Awaous melanocephalus) and moringa (Moringa oleifera) are the common natural resources in Olele village. The objective of this mentoring project was to enhance the food processing skills of the local community by disseminating steps in processing moringa nike fish nugget and the potential of the leaves of a moringa as the ingredient of moringa leaf cake. Its steps included 1) preparation, 2) program implementation, and 3) evaluation. Based on the results, the mentoring program contributed to the enhancement of both knowledge and skills of the participants in processing nugget of moringa nike fish. The participants were also aware of the potential of the leaf moringa as an ingredient of a healthy diet. Further, all participants were able to make moringa nike fish nugget and moringa leaf cake. These two food products received a positive reception from all panelists. In the end, all participants would improve all of the food products through their home-based food business. This was also to support the food business program in their village

    This research aims to describe the validity of learning tool that is oriented learning method “SMART” on material of human digestion system to train students’ thinking ability of junior high school 3 Paguyaman. This is a research development model. Products developed are in the form of Lesson Plan and LKPD on the material of human digestion for 8th grade of junior high school using SMART learning model. The results of the study show that learning tool development has valid criteria. The results of lesson plan validation by expert obtained a percentage score ranging from 91.5% to 100% while for LKP obtained a percentage score around 83.25% to 100%. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the learning tool oriented SMART learning model on the material of the human digestive system meets valid criteria because it is based on the results of expert validation and is suitable for use in learning for students of public junior high school 3 Paguyaman.     Implementation of Stop Motion Graphic Animation Video as Learning Media to Improve Students' Ecoliteracy Ability on the Subject Matter of Environmental Change

    This study aimed to determine the increase in student’s ecoliteracy skills through the implementation of stop motion graphic animation video as the learning media on the subject matter of environmental change. In conducting the study, it used the Pre-experiment method in the form of a quasi-experiment, one group pretest-posttest. The results of this study showed that, there was a significant increase in students’ ecoliteracy skills obtained in pretest by students before implementing the stop motion graphic animation media as 71.2. Meanwhile, the implementationof it showed an increase as the result of the posttestobtained an increased average value of 90.1. The use of stop motion graphic animation was applicable to be used as one of the learning media in biology. This was because it fostered students’ interest in the learning process. Therefore, based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the stop motion graphic animation video can be used to improve students’ ecoliteracy skills significantlyPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan ekoliterasi siswa melalui implementasi media video stop motion animation pada materi perubahan lingkungan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Pree-eksperimen , desain penelitian ini berupa Quasi-eksperiment , One Group Pretest-Posttest . Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) terdapat peningkatan yang signifikan terhadap kemampuan ekoliterasi siswa pada materi perubahan lingkungan, dilihat dari nilai rata-rata pretest yang diperoleh siswa sebelum diterapkan media pembelajaran video stop motion graphic animation yaitu 71,2, setelah diterapkan media pembelajaran rata -rata rata nilai hasil posttestsiswa meningkat menjadi 90,1. (2) penggunaan video stop motion graphic animation layak dijadikan sebagai salah satu media dalam pembelajaran biologi menumbuhkan ketertarikan siswa dalam proses belajar mengajar. Berdasarkan kedua fakta tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa media stop motion animation dapat meningkatkan kemampuan ekoliterasi siswa secara signifikan

    PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN DISCOVERY LEARNING PADA MATERI KONSEP GERAK UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR KOGNITIF SISWA (SMP MUHAMMADIYAH 3 KOTA GORONTALO)

    ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model discovery learning terhadap hasil belajar kognitif siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu eksperimen hanya menggunakan satu kelas eksperimen dengan desain one group pretest posttest design. Tempat pelaksanaan penelitian di SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Kota Gorontalo kelas VIII dengan subjek penelitian kelas VIII B dengan jumlah siswa 29. Pengumpulan data hasil belajar dilakukan berdasarkan penilaian hasil test.  Analisis data penelitian menggunakan uji normalitas, uji hipotesis dan uji n-gain. Berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis diketahui harga thitung  dan ttabel pada  kelas VIII B yaitu ttabel 9,41602E-20 dan thitung -23,0583018 maka dapat disimpulkan berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis pada kelas VIII B yaitu thitung t-table at a level of  = 0,05. Therefore, h0 is accepted, and h1 is rejected. In other words, the discovery learning model influences students’ cognitive learning outcomes in grade VIII B of SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Gorontalo City. Based on the average pretest score of 13,84 and posttest of 52,33, it can be concluded that there is an increase in student’s cognitive learning outcomes using the discovery learning model on the concept of motion material. Based on testing with a normalized gain (N-Gain) score of 0,5. This shows that learning using the discovery learning model positively influences moderate N-Gain criteria. Keywords: discovery learning; students’ learning outcomes
