    A framework for the analysis of determinants of social media acceptance in higher educational institute of Pakistan

    Social media is being considered an important source in the perspective of academic learning in the educational sector.The scope of learning through social media encompasses broadening the information sharing through collaborative approach with the help of web-based social networking sites as the means to enhance the knowledge of coworkers, colleagues and other mates.Due to large scale penetration of social media among youngsters, it is being perceived to be one of the futuristic approaches for next generation knowledge sharing and academic learning.On one hand, learning through social media has attained an important value in developed economies but on the other hand, real benefits and future implications have not been interpreted and realized in developing economies like Pakistan.Educational institutes in Pakistan need to evaluate and understand the importance and the usage of social networking for the sake of its valued role in academia.Although research communities in the developing countries are paying attention towards the development of this sector in academia but Pakistan still has to go a long way in this regard.The aim of the study is to explore the significant factors which are affecting the delayed acceptance and usage of social media for academic learning purpose.This research proposes an integrated framework including some widely accepted technology models such as Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and Innovation Diffusion Theory (IDT) to determine significant factors

    With the emergence of Intern ate and world wide web traditional business got new opportunity to complete globally. Traditional bricks-and-mortar business became electronic business ( e-business) by utilizing information and communication technology (ICT) tools. A new term of Mobile Commerce (M-Commerce) has created tremendous spectrum of business opportunities for businesses. Although there has been large scale adoption of M-Commerce in developing economies, but little growth is observed in developing economies such as Pakistan. There are doubts that users of M-Commerce demonstrate a lack of enthusiasm, which may be due to lack of trustworthiness. Based on the well-known and widely used technology acceptance model (TAM), this research study provides the conceptual framework, underpinning the relationship of trust with adoption of M-Commerce in Pakistan.     In 21st century the technological innovation has reshaped our educational system. Different educational methods and environments are used to facilitate students and teachers. Educational makerspaces are also one of them. This new trend has shifted educational system to student centered instead of teacher centered. Pervasive Learning (P-Learning) environment for educational makerspaces is one of the emerging environmentsfor teaching and learning due to price reduction in handheld devices’, facility for sharing the technological resources, support, and smartness of smartphone technology. Educational Makerspaces environment provide the facility to teachers and learners to create a virtual environment fully equipped with latest ICT tools to share ideas, to perform experiments and collaborate with each other whenever and wherever they are. Thus, P-learning for educational makerspaces can access and share the resources for teaching and learning material beyond the boundaries of the traditional classroom arrangement. This paper presents the idea of P-learning environment for educational makerspaces which is not limited to a single geographic location or mobile or location-based technologies; rather, it accesses, shares the resources, and facilitates teaching and learning from anywhere and at any time with any handheld device means 24*7*12. The purpose of this paper is to propose a fully equipped makerspace classroom so that the students from remote areas or who cannot afford laboratory expenses can access virtually labs, share their ideas, collaborate with each other, and perform experiment

    Measuring secure software development awareness and usage among software developers

    Abstract: Secure software development practices adoption could be the most influential factor for the future of software industry. Awareness and knowledge about security mechanisms and secure coding techniques plays a vital role in decision to consider security during software development by the software developers. This study aims to explore the security and secure software development awareness among software developers. The results of the study related to the use of secure software development methodologies showed a very low level of adoption level by the developers. It was revealed by the respondents that 82.72% respondents have never used any secure development methodology, about 13.67% respondents were using secure software development methodology in their software development from 1 to 4 years, 2.09% respondents using secure software development methodology in their software development from more than five years and only 1.57% respondents were using secure software development methodologies in their software development from less than a year. All the respondents were well aware of the software security but only 22.51% of the respondents were aware of the latest secure software development methodologies
