Isolation and Study of The Effect of Natural Products Isolated From Cordia Myxa Plant on The Level Of Lysyl Oxidase Like -2 and Some Biochemical Variables in Mice With Bladder Cancer
Using HPLC technology, I separated and diagnosed various natural products from the Cordiamyxa plant, identifying the oily substance and its fatty acids. Some flavonoids and alkaloids were also separated. We identified the flavonoids using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) technology. The effect of these products on lysyl oxidase like -2 (LOXL-2) was studied, and it was found that they had a positive effect on reducing the level of LOXL-2 and some other measured variables. In addition, the study examined the effect of these natural products on some biochemical parameters related to bladder cancer in the blood serum of mice induced with the disease. Biochemical variables included LOXL-2, glutathione peroxidase, glutathione, malondialdehyde (MDA), and tumor necrosis alpha (TNF-alpha). The results showed that the concentrations of LOXL-2, MDA, and TNF-α increased significantly in infected mice compared to healthy mice, and a significant decrease in the concentration of GPX and GSH was observed. Natural products demonstrated a positive therapeutic effect in mice, and tissue sections of experimental animals established the disease

Ultraviolet A Is AnEfficient Therapy For Plane Warts
Background:Treatment ofplane warts presents a special therapeutic problem because their duration is long, and very resistant to many treatments. In addition they are usually located in cosmetically important areas, so therapy should be as mild as possible, and potential scarring should be avoided. Ultraviolet a radiation refers to electromagnetic radiation with wavelength (320-400nm) which penetrate deeper into dermal structures' and carry less energy when compare to UVB.
Objective:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of ultraviolet A in the treatment of plane warts.
Patients and Methods:Open therapeutic study was conducted indepartment of Dermatology, In Baquba Teaching Hospital,Diyala health directorate.A total of 60 patients with plane warts aged from 4 to 29 yearswere enrolled in the study between June 2015 to May 2016,all treated with ultraviolet A light, the treatment continue for 3 sessions/week (every other day) for 4 weeks.
Results: Six patients were healed two weeks from starting of treatment, 35 patients were healed after completion of treatment(4 weeks),four patients healed four weeks after stopping of treatment,15 patient showed no response to UVA in treatment of plane warts.no significant side effects observed other than transient erythema and postinflammatorypigmentary changes.
Conclusion: We conclude that UVA is effective and safe modality treatment for recalcitrant plane warts
Alleviative effects of combined topical melatonin and rutin on imiquimod-induced psoriasis mouse model
Background: Psoriasis is a longstanding autoimmune dermatosis with thickened, reddish-brown, and flaking skin lesions. Melatonin is an indolamine hormone exhibiting antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-proliferative actions. Rutin is a nutritional flavonoid possessing antioxidative, anti-inflammatory, and immunomodulatory properties. Aim: To explore the potential anti-psoriatic activity of combined topical melatonin and rutin. Methods: 70 albino mice were divided into 7 groups of 10 each. The impacts of clinical observation, histopathological examination, and biomarker analysis were estimated. Results: Combined topical melatonin and rutin effectively diminished imiquimod-induced elevated PASI and Baker’s scores and corrected histopathological aberrations. Diminished inflammatory indicators like TNF-α and IL-17A, angiogenic elements like VEGF, oxidative elements like MDA, and proliferative elements like Ki-67 were also noted. Conclusion: Combined topical melatonin and rutin have profound anti-psoriatic effects
Impact of opioid-free analgesia on pain severity and patient satisfaction after discharge from surgery: multispecialty, prospective cohort study in 25 countries
Background: Balancing opioid stewardship and the need for adequate analgesia following discharge after surgery is challenging. This study aimed to compare the outcomes for patients discharged with opioid versus opioid-free analgesia after common surgical procedures. Methods: This international, multicentre, prospective cohort study collected data from patients undergoing common acute and elective general surgical, urological, gynaecological, and orthopaedic procedures. The primary outcomes were patient-reported time in severe pain measured on a numerical analogue scale from 0 to 100% and patient-reported satisfaction with pain relief during the first week following discharge. Data were collected by in-hospital chart review and patient telephone interview 1 week after discharge. Results: The study recruited 4273 patients from 144 centres in 25 countries; 1311 patients (30.7%) were prescribed opioid analgesia at discharge. Patients reported being in severe pain for 10 (i.q.r. 1-30)% of the first week after discharge and rated satisfaction with analgesia as 90 (i.q.r. 80-100) of 100. After adjustment for confounders, opioid analgesia on discharge was independently associated with increased pain severity (risk ratio 1.52, 95% c.i. 1.31 to 1.76; P < 0.001) and re-presentation to healthcare providers owing to side-effects of medication (OR 2.38, 95% c.i. 1.36 to 4.17; P = 0.004), but not with satisfaction with analgesia (beta coefficient 0.92, 95% c.i. -1.52 to 3.36; P = 0.468) compared with opioid-free analgesia. Although opioid prescribing varied greatly between high-income and low- and middle-income countries, patient-reported outcomes did not. Conclusion: Opioid analgesia prescription on surgical discharge is associated with a higher risk of re-presentation owing to side-effects of medication and increased patient-reported pain, but not with changes in patient-reported satisfaction. Opioid-free discharge analgesia should be adopted routinely
Çalışmanın son bölümünde ise Hawksmoor ve The Known World arasındaki ortak noktaları üç motif açısından ortaya koymaktadır.Postmodern period witnesses great transformations in different terms of literary approaches. This study aims to show New-Historicism in terms of history, time, and culture in Hawksmoor (1985) and The Known World (2003). The study is divided into three chapters and a conclusion, In the first chapter, the study focuses on the concept of history where two methods are focused upon like New-Historicism as a main source and Historiographical Metafiction as a branch. İn the second section, the researcher foucses on the circularity of time in the lens of new-historicism. The cultural concept is the last concept that has been approached in terms of new-historicism. İn the second part of the first chapter, Peter Ackroyd and Edward. P. Jones' biographies are mentioned. The researcher attempts to show their common grounds. İn the second chapter, Hawksmoor fiction is discussed according to the three concepts. The researcher focuses on the confrontation between enlightenment and occultism. Ackroyd portrays Wren as a reasonable thinker. On the other hand, Dyer is presented as an occultist architect. In the third chapter, The Known World is also discussed in terms of the three motives. The study shows the racial discrimination between the white and black races from one side. İt also shows the internal racism from another side as a black slaveholder named Henry starts to treat his own race much worse than the white ones. In the final part, the study shows the common grounds between Hawksmoor and The Known World in terms of the three motives
The reality and dimensions of the federal general budget of the Republic of Iraq (2005-2021)
Abstract:
This study focused on the traditional method adopted by Iraq in preparing the general budget in light of the developments in the volume of resources and spending so that it is not consistent with the accompanying weakness in the volume of amounts spent on investment projects, which can negatively affect future generations and not enable them to continue development , which requires investing the state’s public revenues in investment projects such as infrastructure projects, according to a system that serves most members of society in order to contribute to solving the problems of unemployment and poverty, which ensures a permanent increase in the average per capita income. The research reached a set of conclusions, the most important of which is the clarity of the imbalance in the structure of the current budget and the failure to reduce class differences to solve the problem of poverty and unemployment, and the study concluded that there is a clear imbalance in the structure of investment expenditures in favor of the industrial sector. To the extractive oil industry sector designated for export, and from the results of the study, it was also found that the traditional budget of Iraq is unable to provide economic efficiency, especially with regard to planning and performance, because it is not focused on goals. In the end, the study presented a number of proposals, including an attempt to correct the structure of the general budget and the need to change the pattern of the general budget in Iraq, and the distribution of public expenditures on a functional and not institutional basis, and to address the deficit in the Iraqi public budget by rationalizing public spending with the need not to exceed the growth of expenditures the current growth occurring in revenues, and finally giving the economic development sector more attention in terms of its total percentage in the Iraqi general budget.</jats:p
