Concircular vector fields for Kantowski Sachs and Bianchi type III spacetimes
This paper intends to obtain concircular vector fields of Kantowski Sachs and
Bianch type III spacetimes. For this purpose, ten conformal Killing equations
and their general solution in the form of conformal Killing vector fields are
derived along with their conformal factors. The obtained conformal Killing
vector fields are then placed in Hessian equations to obtain the final form of
concircular vector fields. The existence of concircular symmetry imposes
restrictions on the metric functions. The conditions imposing restrictions on
these metric functions are obtained as a set of integrability conditions. It is
shown that Kantowski Sachs and Bianchi type III spacetimes admit four, six, or
fifteen dimensional concircular vector fields. It is established that for
Einstein spaces, every conformal Killing vector field is a concircular vector
field. Moreover, it is explored that every concircular vector field obtained
here is also a conformal Ricci collineation.Comment: 21 pages, 23 Reference
A Study on Need Achievement of High and Low Achievers
The study was undertaken to study the Need achievement of High and Low achievers of 9th grade students. The sample for the study was (300 high achievers and 300 hundred low achievers) selected randomly from two educational zones (Budgam and Soibugh) of district Budgam (J&K). For the measurement of Need achievement Mukherjee’s Incomplete Sentence Blank Urdu adaptation (Khan, 1992) was used. The results of the study highlight that the High achievers have high need achievement, possess ‘hope of success’, have ‘high ego-ideal’, possess ‘perseverance’, have ‘realistic attitude’ are in favour of ‘internal control of fate’, while as low achievers have low need achievement, have fear of failure, possess low ego-ideal, are not perseverant, have unrealistic attitude and possess a feeling of external control of fate. The study has also revealed that there is a positive and significant relationship between need achievement and Academic achievement of high and low achiever groups. Growth and Fluctuations in the Output of Major Crops in Pakistan, 1950-51 to 1979-80
Since the crop environment in Pakistan is still greatly
influenced by the vagaries of Nature, it is important to separate this
effect from The true process of crop growth. Attempts to capture the
large random fluctuations from the trend line by using a single variable
for weather arc not fruitful at all. In the absence of a composite index
of weather, the indirect method used in this study allows identification
of normal and abnormal years, which can then be used for forecasting or
even insurance {planning} purposes
Enhancement of solubility and release profile of simvastatin by co-crystallization with citric acid
Purpose: To enhance the solubility and dissolution profile of simvastatin (SIM) via co-crystallization with varying levels of citric acid using various techniques.
Method: Simvastatin-citric acid (SIM-CA) co-crystals were prepared using dry grinding, slurry, liquidassisted grinding, and solvent evaporation techniques, and their various properties were compared. A total of twelve formulations (CC01 to CC12) were prepared. Optimized formulations were selected on the basis of dissolution profiles. Flow properties were evaluated using micromeritic analysis, yielding angle of repose, Carr’s index and Hausner’s ratio. Zeta sizer was employed to evaluate particle size distribution, while surface morphology was determined using scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Melting temperature, stability and physical interaction of simvastatin-citric acid co-crystals were determined by thermal analysis and FTIR. The crystalline nature of the co-crystals was evaluated by powder x-ray diffraction analysis, while solubility and dissolution studies were performed to determine in vitro drug release behavior.
Results: Micromeritic analysis revealed good flow properties of SIM-CA co-crystals. Results of Zeta sizer analysis showed that the particle sizes of the co-crystals were in the nanometer range, while SEM revealed that the co-crystals had regular cubical shape. Thermal stability studies with TGA and DSC showed that the co-crystals were stable at temperatures exceeding 400 oC. FTIR results revealed minor shifts in 2956 and 1706 cm-1 peaks. Co-crystal formation was confirmed by PXRD data. The drug release profiles of the optimized formulations (CC02, CC07 and CC11) were 11.36 - 94.46, 12.36 - 95.46 and 13.36 - 96.46 %, respectively. There was significant improvement in solubilities of the optimum formulations, with values of 310.18, 427.21 and 522.02 % for CC02, CC07 and CC11, respectively.
Conclusion: Citric acid improves the solubility and dissolution profile of the poorly water-soluble drug, simvastatin, which suggests that co-crystallization can potentially enhance the bioavailability of the drug
Challenges to globalization and its impact on prevailing international liberal order
Challenges to globalization have grave implications for the worldwide liberal order that emerged with the end of the cold war. These challenges began to ascend from the West. The occasions like Brexit, ascent of radical rightist political groups in Europe, recognition of isolationist policies, choice of former US President Donald Trump (Originator of isolationist policies), and the strive towards confinement of manufacture and services have altered the contours of global liberal order. The objective of this examination is to find the factors that prepared ground for anti-globalization accounts as well as to discover its effect on the global liberal order by applying the content analysis method. This study will assume qualitative methodology utilizing both primary and secondary data i.e., government documents, annual reports, speeches of leaders, books, journal articles and newspapers etc. The findings of the study concludes that anti-globalization narratives are translating into the electoral processes, progressing hyper-nationalism over liberal order; multi-polarity above Uni-polarity; and Isolationism above free market economy. All such changes have critical repercussions for the global liberal order, hence, should be observed cautiously. If the pattern proceeds, the world pioneers ought to think about modifying the worldwide associations, alliances, as well as national security procedures
Donation of Human Organs and Transplantation in the Light of Great Religions
Donation of Human Organs and Transplantation are very important issues of the current era. It is being processed in different manners. The medical field is providing new kinds of treatments as well as the transplant of organs for the benefit of humanity. It is, no doubt, a very difficult and intricate part of recent medication. It is a substitution of original but defective organ of a human being by an alternative but perfect organ through operation. It has a variety of methods. Inserting and organ transplantation is a significant issue currently. The medical field is presenting new sources of treatments together with the human organs transplant for human welfare at large. In Christianity and Judaism organ donation is permissible but in Islam there are a small number of religious scholars of the Indo-Pak who are in conflict with the matter of organ donation. But the middle-of-the-road of religious scholars of Islamic states approve and support that organ donation is permissible in Islamic Shariah. From the Islamic point of view, Organ Donation and Transplantation is only allowed if the goals of Islamic Sharia are pursued in letter and spirit. It will be helpful, under the direction of a certified transplant team. In this article, the legitimacy of Donation of Human Organs and Transplantation in the light of great Religions has been deliberated
Formulation and characterization of a multiple emulsion containing 1% L-ascorbic acid
The purpose of the study was to prepare a stable multiple emulsion containing a skin anti-aging agent and using paraffin oil. Vitamin C, was incorporated into the inner aqueous phase of water-in-oil-in-water (w/o/w) multiple emulsion at a concentration of 1%. Multiple emulsion was prepared by two step method. Stability studies were performed at different accelerated conditions, i.e. 8 oC (in refrigerator), 25 oC (in oven), 40 oC (in oven), and 40 oC at 75% RH (in stability cabin) for 28 days to predict the stability of formulations. Different parameters, namely pH, globule size, electrical conductivity and effect of centrifugation (simulating gravity) were determined during stability studies. Data obtained was evaluated statistically using ANOVA two way analyses and LSD tests. Multiple emulsion formulated was found to be stable at lower temperatures (i.e. 8 and 25 oC) for 28 days. No phase separation was observed in the samples during stability testing. It was found that there was no significant change (p > 0.05) in globule sizes in most of the samples kept at various conditions. Insignificant changes (p > 0.05) in both pH and conductivity values were determined for the samples kept at 8, 40, and 40 oC at 75% RH, throughout the study period. Further studies are needed to formulate more stable emulsions with other emulsifying agents. KEY WORDS: Multiple emulsion, Vitamin C, StabilityBull. Chem. Soc. Ethiop. 2010, 24(1), 1-10.
Reuse of Ablution Water for Landscaping in Hayatabad Peshawar - A Step Towards Climate Change Adaptation
Rapid urbanization and climate change have intensified water scarcity challenges in Pakistan, particularly in cities like Peshawar. This study assesses the feasibility of reusing mosque (masjid) ablution water to irrigate nearby green belts in Hayatabad, Peshawar, as a cost-effective and sustainable alternative to conventional tubewell irrigation. Spatial analysis showed that most green belts are located within a 450-meter radius of mosques, enabling the use of low-energy pumping systems. Economic analysis indicated that reusing ablution water could reduce daily transport and pumping costs by more than thirteenfold, significantly decreasing fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. Water quality tests found that ablution water had BOD levels of 4.6–6 mg/L and COD of 10–12 mg/L, remaining within acceptable limits for non-potable irrigation use. Overall, the results demonstrate that the reuse of ablution water is technically feasible, environmentally beneficial, and aligns with Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 6 and SDG 13). This approach offers a scalable model to improve urban water resilience and reduce pressure on groundwater resources in water-stressed region
